What's on Your Workdesk? Wedmesday #550

Good morning friends!  I hope this day finds you well and happy!  Come join us as we join in a world wide blog hop hosted by none other than Julia our fearless leader!  I'm sending out early Christmas wishes to all my friends participating in this hop as, come next Wednesday, I will be busy and won't get to participate!

I must confess this is the way my desk has been looking for several days.   I received my shipment of  the Calla Lily Collection from Heartfelt Creations and I have been plaing with these lovely flowers!
They will be going on a couple of cards a little later in the month.  I also plan to play with different colors...maybe some pink ones!  I almost forgot to say that the green stamen on the flowers are the ones that I showed I was making last week.  They turned out great and didn't take too much time.  It's nice to know I can make my own if I need to!

Well that does it for me this week.  I'm off to visit as many of you as I can!

WOYWW #549.....

Good morning everyone!  Wednesday has once again rolled around like it does every week and I'm here to share a look at my desk!  It was a complete and total mess as I worked like a crazy woman finishing up my Christmas cards and getting them ready for the mail.  But that chore is finished and I did a quick clean up so I could play a bit.

So this morning I'm participating in this blog hop of like minded crafters across the world as we show each other what we have going on in our world!  If you are curious and want to learn more and you want to become one of us, it is simple...just head over to Julia's Blog and she has all the information on her blog for linking with us!  Just show your desk, blog about it and then link up on Julia's Blog

I am making some stamen for a new flower die I have on order and I think they are turning out quite lovely. You just take a wire and hot glue one end then roll in Prills.  It works beautifully and next I will take a green marker and color the white wire.  The silver case is a tape measure that is just lying waiting to be used and the same for the pencil.  I just didn't get them put away when I did the clean up.

Well that is it for me this morning. I'm off to leave comments on as many blogs as I can this morning!  It's a cold 28 degrees with about an inch of snow on the ground.  We seldom get more than that these days so I enjoy it when it comes.  I love to watch it snow outside my window as I craft away!

WOYWW # 547

Good morning friends!  Here we are the day before Thanksgiving in the States and I'm getting ready for lots of parades, dog shows and football tomorrow and maybe even a bit of crafting!  If you have stumbled here and are wondering why I'm showing a photo of my desk it's because it's Wednesday and that is what we do.  If you would like to join in just blog about your desk and link up to Julia's blog.  Julia is the creator and hostess of this little bit of madness and we love her for it.  She has all linking instructions on her blog so come join in!

I've begun using the push back method again just so you know... it's beginning to be kinda cluttered at the back with little things that just need to be put away.  I've been making envelopes for my Christmas cards and the white strips are embossed snowflakes that will be glued to the outside of said envelopes just to add a festive look!  I haven't been feeling very crafty lately so I decided to work on some of the little things that have to happen before I can mail my cards.  It has sort of gotten me into the notion to do some flower making.

That's it for me today.  I'm off to link up and visit a few of my fellow deskers before my day begins!

WOYWW #545....

Good morning everyone!  Its once again Wednesday and the day I share my workdesk. If you would like to join in, you will find us all agreeable and none of us bite!  You can head over to Julia's blog for instructions on how to link your blog.

It is 18 degrees here this morning with a little bit of snow on the ground so we are all just trying to stay warm.  It's kind of unusual weather for November but we seldom see snow and I was happy to see it.

Now on to my desk:

Not much going on here...just some bits still needing to be put away from my last kleenex box I made.  The pens are Krylon gold and sliver leaving pens (new) that I use to edge cards or flowers to give a festive look.

Next up is the Christmas card I made using my foiling machine.  The photo isn't showing the pretty shine from the foil but the sentiment is what is foiled.

I had some gold cardstock so I used that for my card layering and some holly leaves from Heartfelt Creations.  This one will mail easily with no extra postage.

Well that's it for me this morning.  I'm off to link up and visit as many of you as I can today.

Tiny Shepherds....

Good Monday morning my friends!  I hope you had a great weekend and that you are ready to begin your week.  Our weather here in East Tennessee has been a continuing roller coaster ride...one day we are 65 and the next we have highs in the 30's.  The weather is forecasting snow showers for tomorrow with a high of 35 after we reach mid-sixties today!  That should be interesting!

I'm here this morning to share another Heartfelt Creations Christmas card featuring the Booklet Frames and Basics dies.  This card is inspired by a video Emma Lou Beechy did on the Heartfelt Creations Facebook Group a few days ago.  These dies are becoming my go to dies for all kinds of cards.  I can't seem to get enough of using them...there are so many possibilities!

I actually have finished making my Christmas cards for this year.  Next on my agenda is making envelopes to fit.  That shouldn't take too long then I will be back on box duty; I'm almost finished with all the goodie boxes and I'm moving right along with the kleenex boxes too.

In the coming days I will share with you the final Christmas cards and then we will move on to new projects.  I love spending time in my Craftroom,,,it keeps my mind and hands busy and out of trouble.

What's On Your Workdesk? Week #544...

Well another week has come and gone since I last visited with you but we have come to the middle of the week again!  I'm always happy to get to visit with you and spend time pilfering around your craft space!  I'm just a snoop at heart.  If you would like to join us just head over the Julia's blog and have a look around.  She has instructions for linking to her blog so you can become part of the blog hop.

Although my desk is kind of messy, there isn't a lot going on...just working on another tissue box cover for the nursing home.  I need to make several more.  I have been sort of slow to getting these done but I've been doing some winterizing and I spread some grass seed to help my front yard.  We had a wind storm come through several days ago and I had lots of limbs down in the back so I had to get those to the street for pick up.  I've been moving outside cushions to the basement for winter storage and just getting ready for cold temps.

The kleenex box cover here will be for a man so no flowers for it.  I would rather work on boxes for ladies so I can add flowers but the guys have to blow too! LOL...

Well ladies that does it for me this week.  I'm off to link up and visit as many of you as I can!

WOYWW 543....

Good morning my friends!  Here we are back to Wednesday and this is the day I show  you my work space.  I have to tell you my desk has been like this for a few days, as I just haven't taken the time to come back in here and clear stuff away.  It sits patiently by waiting for me to have the time to spend here.  It seems I have been quite lazy and then for a couple of days I have been busy so I'm hoping today will be different.

So what have you been into?  Show us your space!  We would love you to join us.  Just take a photo of your space and link your blog to Julia's blog and off we go!  All the instructions are on her blog, so it isn't hard at all to  become one of us!

I purchased this Crafters Companion Foilpress machine a month or so ago and I still haven't got it all worked out in my brain but I'm determined that this time I will  make it work.  It seems to be a bit hard to figure out the equation of seconds to die size but I'm getting close.  The foil die that is lying there on the press is a Merry Christmas die with lots of pretty swirls and will be beautiful on a card but so far I just haven't made it work.  Very close  but no cigar!  I did get the Christmas tree to work and made a card with it so I have had some success.  I'm nogt giving up; I'm determined!

Well that is all for me this morning.  I'm off to Julia's to link up and begin my stroll through the participating blogs!

What's on Your Workdesk? Week #542....

Pardon me while I do a bit of dusting and brushing away of the cobwebs as I haven't been here for a whole week!  Just been doing my own thing and not posting here at all!  But now it is time for me to photograph my workdesk and share with you what is happening here!  If you would like to become one of us just head over to Julia's blog and have a look around the instructions for linking your blog to the hop are listed there and we would love to have you with us!

The state of my desk is shocking really, as I should be in full on Christmas mode but I'm just not feeling it!  I did make 3 Christmas cards earlier this week and a few more of the little boxes but nothing that was worthy of a photo shoot!  I will wait and wait until I become like a deer in the headlights and then I will really begin to mean business.  My attention span is so short and there are too many things here to distract me!

Well that is it for me this morning!  I'm off to link up and have a look around over at Julia's

WOYWW #541.....

Good morning friends!  We have come full circle back to Wednesday once again.  It seems the weeks are just flying by and I can hardly keep up.  If you wonder why I show a picture of my desk this morning just head over to Julia's Blog and have a look around.  It is a wonderful blog hop and includes fellow crafters from all over the world.  Come join us!  The instructions for linking your desk are on Julia's blog and we would love to have you become one of us!

I have begun making little 2" square boxes for the nursing home!  They can be used to house little gifts for bingo and such and it is just a tiny bit I can do to give back.  If one of my little  creations brightens the day of one of the residents then I have achieved what I set out to do.  I will be doing lots more of these and then for Christmas I'm doing kleenex box covers for some of them.  I have so many papers and this will be a good way to use it up.  I have more paper than I can possibly use before I die so it is time to start cutting into it!

Well that is it for me...I'm off to link up and visit as many of my fellow deskers as I can.

Shaped Card and Matching Box....

Good morning my friends!  I hope you are getting ready to face the week and that all is well in your world.  As for me and mine, we are fine and enjoying the Fall temps finally!  It is 48 degrees here this morning and such a welcome thing!

I'm here this morning to share a shaped card and matching box using Heartfelt Creations papers and the new stamps and dies I received.

I used Backyard Blossoms papers and flowers along with the new Swirly Accent Spray Die and the Large Oval Die.  These flowers are on the retiring list and I wanted to use them again before they are gone.  I'm sort of like a walking advertisement for Heartfelt Creations and I use their products every day like many of you do.  Now onto the matching box.

I really love this yellow paper but it is getting very limited in my envelope as I have used this collection quite a bit.  The box is 6 1/2 X 6 1/2 and just perfect for housing my 6 X 6 card.  I hope you enjoy my creations and if you haven't purchased this collection and think you might want it, hurry because when it is gone it is gone!

Well friends, that is it for me this morning.  I hope your day is a good one and that you find time to be creative!  I'm off to get started on a project I have up my sleeve then later I hope to spend a bit of time outdoors in the wonderful Fall sunshine!

WOYWW #540....

Good morning friends!  We have once again made it to Wednesday and that means it's time for me to share my work space with you.  If you would like to join us just head over to Julia's blog and have a look around.  She has the instructions for linking your blog and then you can show us what you are doing.  It's always such fun and I love hearing from everyone and getting to have a look at everyone's desk.

My desk is clean this morning so I didn't take a photo of that but I decided I would share another Christmas card and box I have made.  Slowly my pile of C cards is growing and I'm hoping to be finished soon.  I don't do them all at once anymore, I just do them one here and one there.  They are coming together.

We are finally beginning to experience a little of the Fall temps in our area.  We actually had a few showers over the last couple of days.  We have been so very dry and the rain is very much appreciated.  It's 59 degrees this morning so I have hope that Fall is here.

Well that does it for me this morning.  I'm off to link up and then visit as many of you as I can.

Sharing Another Backyard Blossoms Creation.......

Good Monday morning my friends!  I'm here this morning to share another of my Backyard Blossoms creations with you.  I made a whole bunch of these flowers after having been inspired by Emma Lou's video on the Heartfelt Creations Facebook page.  I do love these flowers and wanted to use them on a few cards and boxes so now I want to share.

I also used some of the Backyard Blossoms paper collection and  the Ornate Pocket Accents Die as well.  I think it made a beautiful piece and it will be going into my stash for my Birthday cards!
I am definitely a Heartfelt Creations girl and use their products on almost all I do!  How about you?

Tissue Box Cover.....

Good morning friends and Happy Friday!  As this week is drawing to a close I wanted to jump in and share a tissue box cover I made this week.  I've had a very busy time this week with a little bit of time spent in my craft room so over the next few days I have many things to show you.  To start off my tissue box cover.  I really love these boxes as you can decorate in so many ways and they are such a nice thing to have around.

I used Heartfelt Creations Backyard Blossoms paper collection and flowers to dress it up.  The die cut is a very old one from Heartfelt Creations retired long ago but still loved so I decided to drag it out and dust it off.  I hope you enjoy my little creation as much as I enjoyed making it!

WOYWW #539.....

Good morning friends!  Wednesday has rolled around again and it's once again time for What's On Your Workdesk...Wednesday #539.  Each Wednesday we get together and have a lovely blog hop of sorts and we can visit each other and see what we have going on in each other's world.  There are many different kinds of crafting going on and it's always fun to have a little snoop!  Julia is the hosting blog and you are most welcome if you would love to join us!

My desk is showing a jumble of things as I purchased some of the new release dies from Heartfelt Creations and I've been playing with them.  I really love the pretty edge dies and the book die is to die for!  I just couldn't resist!  The pretty embossed piece of cardstock is a Crafters Companion Embossing folder and I really love it as well.  And of course my blue painters tape that I use to tape down my dies before I run them through my die cutting machine.

Well that does it for me this morning.  I'm off to link up to Julia's blog and then to visit as many of the participating blogs as I can before my coffee runs out!  Have a lovely day and a great rest of the week!

WOYWW #538.....

Good morning friends!  We have made it to Wednesday once again and this is the day I share my workspace with you as we join together over at Julia's blog for our weekly get together!  If you would like to join in this world wide blog hop just head on over and Julia has instructions for linking at the top of her blog.  We would love to have you join in and you will find we are an easy group to be a part of!

My desk this morning is a crazy mix of this and that with no rhyme or reason.  I cut an easel for the birthday card lying there with the airplane.  Andrea at Heartfelt Creations did a video on this card and I just had to try it out.  I love how it turned out and it will be going to a family member next month.  I still haven't done anything with my Asters but I do have something in mind so there will be a card in the making soon!

I also want to report that I'm still loving my glass mat from Tim Holtz.  It is so easy to clean up and I think I will have it for a long time to come!  Well worth the investment!

OK, that's it for me this morning.  I'm off to visit as many participating bloggers as I can, so have a good day and try to be creative in all you do!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #537

Good morning friends.  Wednesday has rolled around again and I'm here sharing a look at my work space!  If you are curious about why I'm showing a photo of my desk this morning, just head over to Julia's desk and have a look around.  Julia is the creator of this little bit of madness and she allows us to overtake her blog each and every Wednesday for this world wide blog hop!  We are a friendly group and would love for you to join us if you want! Julia has all instructions there so come join us!

New toy in the house!  I purchased a Crafters Companion Gemini Foilpress machine.  I've only gotten to play for a short while so I haven't really had much time to experiment but I can say I do love it already.  To the left you can see a roll of the foil paper used to cover the stamps.  I can imagine some gorgeous Christmas cards very soon.  I'll keep you posted as I go along but for now I know the machine works and is going to make some gorgeous pieces!

This is short and sweet this morning and I'm off to visit as many of you as I have time for.   Have a great day and a lovely rest of the week!

More Paper Usage.....

Good morning friends!  It's Monday once again and the heat wave and drought continues here in East Tennessee.  We have another day scheduled to be in the 90's and then we are hoping for a bit of a cool down but still no rain in sight.  Leaves are beginning to fall but it's not with the glorious color we all long for as they are just turning brown and coming on down.

As I continue my quest to use some of my mountain of paper collections, it's another kleenex cover box!

These little boxes are quick and easy and use a little bit of paper and I find I love making them.  This one is from a Heartfelt Creations collection retired long ago but still much loved by me!  The name of the collection is Raindrops on Roses and it was and is one of my favorites.  And of course I had to make a few roses to grace the top and side of the box.  My little neighbor friend has mauve colors in her living room and this will coordinate well.  I do hope she loves it!

I purchased a few more boxes of tissues and will be making a few more...maybe to send to the nursing home.

What's on Your Workdesk? Week #536....

Good morning my friends!  I'm showing you my work desk this morning as part of a little Wednesday get together of like minded crafters.  We take a photo of our desk and link it to Julia's desk then we can visit each other and have a look around!  It is a lovely idea and lots of fun and has lasted many years since the first WOYWW!  So come join us if you like, we are harmless and very friendly!

My photo was taken yesterday afternoon so there is lots of light reflecting off my glass mat but I do love all the natural light!  I've been working on some kleenex box covers for my neighbors.  Just another idea to use up some more paper.  I think it is breeding when I turn my back...instead of getting smaller the amount seems to be growing.  But I just keep plugging along trying to think of things to use it on.  Most of the papers have long been retired but there are some lovely designs that I have a hard time cutting into, so I take a deep breathe and try to remember that I don't want to be a "hoarder" then I make another project!

That's it for me this morning; I'm off to visit as many of your desks as I can! Happy WOYWW!

So Much Paper.....So Little Time.....

Good morning friends and happy Monday!  I'm here this morning to share another box of cards I made for someone special.  For some reason I just didn't show the cards that I packed inside but I have been using card fronts from different Heartfelt Creations papers and just adding little embellishments and sometimes just glitter so that the cards can be mailed with a regular postage stamp.  When you consider that the card and envelope have to fit through a 1/4" slot with no snagging along the way, that doesn't leave much room for anything other than the card!  And we all know how much a dimensional card costs to mail.....well it's just crazy!

I made a box to hold the cards and decorated it with wildflowers made using the Tulips from the Tulip Time Collection from Heartfelt Creations.  One thing I love about Heartfelt creations is the fact you cab take one flower and change the shape to make another lovely creation.  These flowers remind me of something that would bloom in the desert!  I love the shape and they don't look like a tullip anymore for sure!

So you take some pretty paper, a few flowers and leaves and some lovely crinkled seam binding and tie it all up with a pretty bow and you have a beautiful gift for family or friends.  My goal is to use papers I have just sitting here.  Lots have already retired but are still beautiful and I want to use them....so much paper.....so little time!

WOYWW #535

Good morning friends!  Wednesday has once again rolled around and I'm here showing you my work space.  Each Wednesday we get together and converge on our leaders' blog for a world wide blog hop!  If you are curious about this just head over to Julia's blog and she has instructions for what to do to join us! We are a friendly group of crafters and we love sharing what we have going on in our lives!

Now for my desk and what my little mess looks like:

Underneath it all is my new Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat; I wasn't sure if I would be happy with it when I ordered it but I do love it!  The die is an old Sue Wilson Die that I have had for a couple of years and only used maybe a couple of times so I decided I needed to use what I have.  I'm making another shaker Christmas card.  I am slowly coming along on my list.  It seems like it is a slow go this year and I only have 5 or so ready to go.  Well I still have plenty of time so I will just keep plugging along.  The blue tray at the top of the photo is filled with poinsettia flowers of different colors and holly leaves all ready to go so that will help me as I work on my cards.

My card is 5 X 7 and all ready to go.  I used all Heartfelt Creations products except for the die cut.

Well my friends that does it for me this morning.  I'm off to join the blog hop and have a little snoop.  I hope you have a great day and a wonderful rest of the week!

My card is 4 1/4" X 5 1/2".  Make card base using white cardstock and cover with a piece of the patterned paper.  Cut out the die and glue it to the card front.  Stamp, color and cut out the flowers and leaves and run them through the Purr-fect Posies 3D Shaping Mold.  Be sure and spritz the pieces with a little bit of water which helps to break down the fibers and allows the paper to accept the shapes.  Allow the pieces to air dry once they have been run through your die cutting machine.  Add prills to the centers and allow to dry.  Select a sentiment from the paper collection and edge with Cactus Flower ink and glue to the card  front.  Finally arrange the flowers and leaves and glue down and your card is finished.

WOYWW #534...

Good morning friends!  Wednesday has rolled around and it is once again time for me to share my work desk with you.  Every week on Wednesday, we all come together and share our space and link up at Julia's blog then we can visit each other in a world wide blog hop of sorts!  Julia is the creator and hostess of this get together and we love her for it.  If you are curious about this just head over to Julia's blog and have a look around.  All the instructions are right there at the top of the page, so come join us!

This photo was taken a couple of days ago but since I finished this Christmas card there hasn't been a lot going on here in my craft room.  I've been doing other things but I wanted to show you this card as I shared the shaker portion of it last week.  Now it's all finished and ready to go!

I really like how it turned out and I just love this little sleigh full of packages!  I've only just begun my cards so I really need to keep going.  I just get waylaid and wind up doing other things until suddenly its crunch time and it's do or die for Christmas!  Are you like that?

Well that does it for me this morning.  I'm off to visit as many of you as I can.  Have a great rest of the week and go be creative!

WOYWW #533

Good morning all!  It's Wednesday and once again time to share my desk with you.  If you are new here and wondering why I'm showing a photo of my desk, head over to Julia's Blog and have a look around.  She has all the details there at the top of her blog.  This is a world wide blog hop that has been happening each Wednesday and we just link our desk to Julia's blog and then we can have a snoop around each other's desk.  It is so much fun and gives us a break in our routine each and every Wednesday.  So come join us; we are harmless and friendly and always welcoming to new folks!

I took the time yesterday to clean off my desk so there isn't much going on here right now.  I had a few errands to run so my time at home was limited and so it remained clean.  I did this shaker piece for an upcoming Christmas card but haven't gone any further with it.  So it sits waiting for me get motivated again.

We have been so very hot here in East Tennessee so about all I want to do is sit under the air conditioner and veg out.  I do have to get outdoors and fill the bird baths and water my flowers but that is about it for my outdoor activities.  The poor birds are struggling with the heat too so I try and put fresh water in the birdbaths twice a day for them.  A nice cool splash sure feels good for them!  As for the flowers, they are really taking a hit and I don't know if they will pull through but the season is closing so it will be ok.

Hoping Your Day is Perfect...

Good morning friends!  I'm here this morning to share my latest card with you.  It is a twisted Easel card and I just love these designs!

I used Heartfelt Creations Burst of Spring Collection featuring the lovely Pansey flowers!  Lots of shades of purple make this a favorite for me!  The card design is a quick and easy make and fun to decorate.  The die used to edge the side of the card is a Sue Wilson die named Gemini Dies - Carina also the oval on the front is a Sue Wilson die from her Austrian Collection - Salzburg.  The little butterfly is Memory Box Leavenworth Butterfly Trio.  I decided to pull out some of my older dies and play as I do love them so much.  I hope you enjoy and maybe you remember these from a few years ago.

WOYWW #532....

Good morning fellow crafters and welcome to my little corner of the world!  I'm here sharing what is going on here by sharing a photo of my desk in all it's glory!  If you are curious about this photo and why I'm showing it on my blog just head over to Julia's blog (the creator of this world wide blog hop) and have a look around.  She has the instructions listed on the top of her blog.  So come join us, we are a fun loving group and we don't bite!

I've been making some greeting cards for friends and family and using up some of the paper stash I have.  If I work like mad until I die, I still won't use it all so I'm cutting into some of my much loved pieces and sharing the joy!  I've been embossing a strip along the bottom of some store bought envelopes to give them a bit of interest and fancy them up a bit!  Heartfelt Creations makes it very easy to make a card by just cutting a card front and gluing it to a card base then I just add some glitter and keep the inside blank so it can be used for any occasion.  These mail easily and only take one stamp.  Some of my dimensional cards cost almost $4 to mail and I think that is just crazy!

Well that does it for me this morning.  I'm off to link up and visit as many of you as I can.  Have a great creative day!

Christmas Folio and a Short Video.....

Good Monday morning my friends!  I'm here this morning to share a Christmas Folio and a quick video showing some of the features.  I fell in love with this design after watching a video from Kathy Clement. (This is a link to her blog)   I used the new Candlelit Christmas Collection from Heartfelt Creations and I have fallen in love with the elements of this collection.  I find the new size of the poinsettias to be perfect for so many projects and I will be using them a lot in the coming months as I prepare my cards and boxes for the Holidays!

I love making medallions for the covers as it gives you something extra to hold your flowers.  I used lots of glitter as usual because, after all, it will be Christmas!

I find it difficult to photograph the inside of these folios but you sort of get the general idea of the project.  You can see better in the video I did below.  I hope you enjoy and please be kind as I'm not very good at these.

That does it for me this morning.  I have some watering to do outside this morning and then I will come back inside and close everything against the heat.  We are sweltering here and I so long for the cooler temps of Fall.  I feel a change in the seasons coming when I'm outside.  I notice the migrations of certain birds and how the leaves are changing on the trees and such.  Frankly, it can't come too soon for this old girl!
