WOYWW # 373...

Good morning everyone!  I finally remembered to take a photo of my workspace so I could play along today.  It seems I'm always in a tizzy these days and I've been having trouble trying to get my ducks all in a row so I could schedule my post.

I am working on a birthday card for one of my grandsons and I'm using Graphic 45 Good Ol' Sport paper.  I always struggle with cards for guys and I'm hoping this one will turn out.  I can feature the finished project for awhile because I'm actually working ahead and I don't want it to be seen.

I'm so happy to be back among friends and I'm so happy Julia feels well enough to host us once again.  Now I'm off to visit as many of the names as I can!

Another Birthday Card.....

Are you like me, always looking for a birthday card for someone you care about. Sometimes it's really difficult for me to have the time to jump off what I have going on and make a card for an upcoming birthday, so I always try and have a few put back that I can write a note inside and send it on.  The outside doesn't always say Happy Birthday and that way it can be used for other occasions.  I have several guys in my family and of course they don't want ribbons and flowers on their cards so I try to keep it simple if I can.

I used the "By the Sea" collection from Graphic 45 for my card and just did layers and buttons on the front.  There is a button with a piece of white string tied in the center on the top layer.  I just noticed that my buttons are not showing that well here.  I can see this card going along to one of my grandsons or one of the other men in my life.  I will enclose a check and write on the inside.  I still need more for the very near future so stand by for more birthday cards!

That is all from me this morning.  Take time for  you and remember to "Breathe"!

My card is 6 x 6.  Make card base and cover with a piece of the paper collection. Stamp, emboss, cut out and shape the flowers.  Glue the layers together and add prills to the center of the flowers and set aside to dry.  Wet the seam binding, add color and scrunch and leave to dry.  Stamp, cut out and color the skates and add a bit of glitter to them just to add some interest. Of course I think a little glitter helps everything.  Stamp the sentiment in the lower corner and then I started to decide where I wanted to adhere the elements.  I used dimensional tape to glue down the skates and then glued down the flowers and the bow.

Next comes my card with pocket and tag.  I love these pretty presents.

Other Products Used:  White Cardstock, Seedless Preserves Distress Inks, Spellbinders Elegant Ovals, Dimensional Tape

Instructions:
My card is 4 1/4 X 7.  Make card base and cover with a piece of the pretty paper collection.  Next cut a piece of coordinating paper and cover a piece of white cardstock that has had one of the Border Essentials die cut and glued between the layers.  Attach the pocket to the front of the card.  Cut out a tag from the paper and use another die cut from the Border Essentials dies and place it between a piece of white cardstock and the paper making a tag. Next I cut out some of the presents and the mittens from the paper collection and backed them with white cardstock making them like chipboard pieces.  I used dimensional tape to pop these items up a bit to give my card more dimension.  I slung the mittens across the pickets to look they had been left there to dry.  I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of the pretty paper collection and layered with another piece of white cardstock and then used dimensional tape to apply it to the top of the card.

I know this has been a long post this morning.  Thanks for sticking with me!

HCST1-401 Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit
Minni Pearl Prills

Other Products Used:  Peacock Feathers and Seedless Grapes Distress Inks, White Cardstock, Wink of Stella, Watercolor Paper, Seam Binding, Hot glue, Scor-Tape, Dimensional Tape

Instructions:

My tag is 3 5/8" X 7 3/4".  Cut a piece of the paper collection 6" X 2 3/8". Next, using white card stock, I cut out the border twice and glued them to the edge of the paper.  Next I cut one of the borders and made a top piece and bottom piece for the tag. Cut a piece of cardstock and cover the back of the piece of the paper collection giving it stability.  Stamp, cut out, color and shape the flowers and leaves.  Add the Prills to the center of the flowers.  I colored the white Prills with ink so I could perfectly match the color on the flowers.  Attach the flowers to the front of the tag with hot glue.  I cut a piece of the paper collection that had a sentiment on it and used dimensional tape to pop it off the front of the tag. I colored the seam binding to match my tag and tied a bow.  Hot glue it to the sentiment piece and then I used Scor-Tape to adhere the tails of the bow where I wanted them.

I hope you have enjoyed our little visit this morning.  To see more beautiful projects visit the Heartfelt Creations blog.  I'll be back on Wednesday to share some more projects with you!

Instructions:
My Wall hanging is 5 X 8. Cut the chipboard to size and cover with a piece of the paper collecton that has been distressed with the Seedless Preserves ink. Stamp, emboss, color and cut out the flowers and then shape and glue together to make a poinsettia.  Add a half pearl to the center of each flower and set aside. Next I cut out the Regal Border and backed it with a piece of the paper collection and then I glued it down to the top of the piece.  Add half pearls to this border and allow the glue to dry.  Next I fussy cut a tag and stamped the sentiment onto it and glued a half pearl onto it.  I mounted it onto the front of the wall hanging using dimensional tape.  Cut out the presents from the paper collection and use dimensional tape to apply to the front of the Wall hanging.  Next I laid down a heavy amount of Designer Dries Clear glue and applied the Flower Soft.  Once that was dry I decided where I wanted my flowers to go and glued them down. I punched holes on either side of the border and fed my seam binding through, tied a knot and used Scor-Tape and glue to adhere it to the back of the Wall hanging.

WOYWW #371

Good morning everyone and welcome to WOYWW #371 at Lunch Lady Jan's blog.  I'm sorry to say I've been absent for a few weeks and am once again trying to get back into step and participate.  I have always loved this Wednesday get together and find now that I'm so busy, I miss it so much.   I have been trying to keep my head above water and adjust to the Heartfelt Creations design team and. fingers crossed, I think I'm just about there.  Now the yard work is almost caught up but my garden is coming in.  I have been carrying lots of veggies to my neighbors.  I will can a few tomatoes and that is about it for me.  I didn't plant so many beans because I don't need to can any this year.  We were so dry and my garden struggled but now we are beginning to get a bit more rain and my garden has taken a second breath!  On top of everything else, my Bella has not been well.  She started out by biting down on dry dog food wrong and having some pain.  A trip in to the vet showed nothing so we did a teeth cleaning and they pulled three teeth.  4 days later, she was not accepting food and just no energy so back to the vet and another round of antibiotics and she just seems to be "off" even now.  So keeping my fingers crossed.

So not a lot going on here this morning.  Some seam binding that I colored with ink to match a project and then I didn't use it.  Acrylic blocks for stamping, re-inkers, my notebook for taking notes for projects, scotch tape (one never knows when one might need that), embossing ink and a glue bottle.  Nothing productive going on for sure.  I hope you are better motivated where you are!

Well that does it for me this morning.  I'm off to visit as many of you as I can.

Another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday....

Good morning everyone and welcome to another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday!  I'm here this morning to share another Botanical Orchid project with you.  Having never seen an orchid, I had to look on the Internet for pictures of these glorious blooms.  I have to admit I have fallen in love with these flowers!

Heartfelt Creations Products and Products Carried by Their Shop
HCPC-3747 Botanical Orchid Cling Stamps
HCD1-7101 Botanical Orchid Die
HCDP1-267 Botanical Orchid Paper
Designer Dries Clear Glue

Other Products Used
White Cardstock, Spellbinders Regal Frame Die, Bridal Tinsel Embossing Powder, Dimensional Tape, Embossing Ink, Worn Lipstick Distress Ink

Instructions
My card is 5" X 7".  Make card base and cover with a piece of the paper collection that has been distressed with Distress Ink.  Cut one of the card fronts from the paper collection and then cut out the Spellbinders Die using white cardstock.  Glue the die cut to the card front and use dimensional tape to adhere to the front of the card.  Stamp, cut out, color and shape the flowers and glue together.  Next I used a sponge and added embossing ink to the edges of the flowers and embossed.  This gives the flowers a pretty sheen on the edges.  Glue the flowers to the front of the card.  Finally, I cut out a sentiment from the paper using one of the dies from the Regal Frame package and backed it with a piece of white cardstock.  I used another piece of dimensional tape to adhere this to the front of the card.

Happy 4th. of July!

Good morning everyone.  I hope you are all getting ready to spend time with family and friends.  I have a day of crafting on tap and am looking forward to making flowers.

I'm sharing my latest card made using Spellbinders dies and Heartfelt Creations flowers.

Below is a close up of the flowers.  I love the way they turned out and think they are so realistic.  I died the seam binding to match the papers and flower centers.

I hope you enjoy this card as much as I have enjoyed making it!  It is a labor of love!

Enjoy your holiday and please be safe!
