What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday #530....

Good morning ladies and welcome to Wednesday!  I'm here this morning to share with you a photo of my space and what I have going on in my world!  If you are curious about this group of ladies just head over to Julia's blog and have a look around.  We are a friendly bunch of crafters who enjoy each other's company and we love this Wednesday blog hop of sorts.

My desk this morning:

I am working on a tag using some of the new Christmas release from Heartfelt Creations.  I was able to purchase a few things to play with and I love this hanging latern!  I'm now deciding on the placement of this holy and then I will punch a hole and tie a bow and it will be ready to go.  I made up several poinsettia flowers if you remember and now I'm using them.  I will try and share with you when it is finished!

Now that is all for me this morning I'm off to visit as many of you as I can this morning.  I kinda got a late start this morning...we slept in a bit but that isn't a bad thing!

WOYWW #529

Good morning friends!  We have landed on a Wednesday once again and I'm here sharing my desk with you!  If you are wondering why I'm blogging about a photograph of my desk, just head over to Julia's blog (she is the creator of this little bit of madness).  Julia has all the information listed along the top of her blog.

My desk is almost bare this morning. This is the bare bones of a Folio that I will be working on later.  I haven't been making cards or flowers this week.  Just hanging out and trying to stay cool.  The Southern US has been experiencing hot humid Dog Days of Summer weather and we are all suffering and longing for Fall!

Here are some of my flowers this year.  I spend a bit of time each morning before breakfast watering so that everything doesn't die.  Thankfully, they are all thriving for now!  I have been walking my little yorkies early as well or they don't get any exercise outdoors.

These are my beloved ferns!  Every year I buy 4 for this porch.  I have no idea why they flourish here as they receive the hot, hot, hot evening sun but they seem to love it here and I'm so thankful as I love them.  Of course they receive lots of water and the fronds also get water on them as well.  We have just experienced a cold front and this morning we are about 20 degrees cooler and we had a day of rain.  This woman is so happy that the temps are more normal for a bit!

Well that's it for me.  I'm off to visit as many of you guys as I can.

A Gift Box of Cards for a Friend....

Good Monday morning friends!  It's raining here this morning and it is a welcomed sound for me.  It means I don't have to get out before breakfast and water my plants.

I'm here this morning to share with you another gift box of cards I made for a friend of mine.  I just took some of the lovely card fronts from a paper collection from Heartfelt Creations and made a card with no sentiment that can be used for anything.  It gives you the whole inside of the card to write a bit to the person receiving the card.  I think we are getting away from writing to our loved ones and friends and I think that is an art we should not lose!

The flowers are Oakberry Lane Blossoms and there is a mold for the flowers!  The 3D Blossoms Shaping Mold.  I love these molds as they make my life so much easier.  I can make a huge amount of flowers and my hands, wrists and shoulder do not suffer.  It's a very good thing!

I have a huge amount of Heartfelt Creations paper and this is a good way to use it.  The cards are flat and can be mailed with one stamp.

That's it for me this morning.  I'm off to work on another project I have going on.  Have a lovely day and I hope it is filled with joy!

Gift Box with Sunflowers...

Good morning everyone!  Well we have finally made it to Friday and for those of you still working "Happy Friday".  For the rest of us, it is just another day.  I love being retired!

This is what's on my desk this morning:

These flowers are from the Sun Kissed Fleur cling stamps. They are just shaped to look like a sunflower.  While I was playing with this set, I made several flowers with different shapes and colors.  This box contains a set of cards and envelopes for a neighbor of mine.  They are just flat so they can be mailed in a regular envelope and I used some beautiful card fronts from Heartfelt Creations.  Quick and easy and then I made the box to fit.

WOYWW #528...

I think we are finally back in sync with everyone and it is actually #528. Good morning everyone and welcome to What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday #528!  If you are a little curious about this or just want instruction on how to join us, head over to Julia's Blog and have a look around.  All instruction is posted there and we are a friendly group of crafters.

I have to confess this isn't my desk this morning it is from two days ago but I have been busy outside so this will have to do.  I'm making poinsettia flowers to grace the fronts of my Christmas cards.  Heartfelt Creations July release is Christmas and I just couldn't resist!  Below is a close up of the flowers with all their glitter glory!  I do love me some glitter!

Well that does it for me this morning.  We are extremely hot and humid here in the Southern US and my poor plants outside need watering every morning and the bird baths are always in need of filling.  Poor birds flock to my water sources each day and drink and bath and just cool off.  It is truly the dog days of summer here!

"Monday Floral" Birthday Card....

Good Monday morning friends!  I'm up before the chickens this morning and am here to share a card I have made.  I'm always behind on the number of Birthday Cards I need at any given time, so I am always playing catch-up!

The card I'm showing you this morning is made using the Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur Cling Stamp and die.  I was going through some of my stamps and dies and came across this much loved set.  Well I just had to dust it off and have a play with it.  I used the Heartfelt Creations Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper to make the flowers and leaves.  I'm afraid I forgot to notate what paper I was playing in so I don't have that for you.  So sorry!  My card is 5" X 7" and very dimensional so it will be expensive to mail.  The last dimensional card I tried to mail cost almost $4 to send.  It makes me just want to take a picture and text it to my family and friends.  LOL...  I only have a handful of family that isn't close so it is ok.  Most of this type of card gets hand delivered.

Lots of Rajni Chawla's Crystal Clear glitter sprinkled all about gives it a sparkle.  I do love my glitter and this product is amazing.  To me it is just a lovely addition to flowers and die cuts.

Ribbit Prills grace the center of my flowers and I shaped them like I shape my sunflowers.  The colors used on the flowers are Archival Red Geranium and Vivid Chartreuse.  I just love this combination of colors and think it is now my favorite "Go To" combination!

That does it for me this morning.  I hope you have a lovely Monday!  I will be playing indoors today as it is supposed to be around 90 and sweltering out there!  It is definitely the dog days of summer!

What's On Your Workdesk? Week #528 ..

Good morning friends!  It's Wednesday once again and time for me to share my workdesk with you.  There seems to be some confusion as to what week it actually is...is it #527 or #528 and I'm sure I don't know so I'm going with what our creator thinks.  She says it's #528 so #528 it is!  If you are wondering about this group you can head over to Julia's blog and have a look around.  She has
everything posted there for you to read.  Come join us, we are a friendly group!

Of course, this isn't my workdesk, but it is what I've been working on for a bit.  I eat a lot of green beans and I love making tomato soup and chili in the winter months so I can veggies in the summer.  My mother taught me as a girl and it stuck this canning thing and I have to admit I love seeing my shelf full!  The pint jar of tomatoes in the center had a different kind of tomato mixed in with the rest thus the different look but they will still be just as tasty.  I think the tomatoes were called "purple" something or other.

Well that does it for me this morning.  I'm off to visit as many deskers as I can.  Have a good day and a great rest of the week!

A Christmas Card for you.......

Good Monday morning to all of you!  I hope you had a good weekend and now you are ready to face the coming week!  I'm here this morning to share a Christmas card I created just for you.  I declare I must be getting old because I was so sure I had already shared this card with you but looking back I can't see where I posted it.  So if you have seen this card before, pretend like you haven't and let's look at it again.  Hehehe....

I used the Merry & Bright Collection from Heartfelt Creations along with The Regal Frame and Accents die.  It's all placed on a glittered background and the sleigh is filled with packages ready for Christmas!  This one will be placed in my stash as one more card ready for my holiday giving!

WOYWW .......

Good Wednesday morning my fellow deskers and welcome to what's going on in my world!  If you are curious about this post you can head over to Julia's Blog (she is the creator of this little bit of madness) and she has everything you need to know about this listed at the top of her page.

I have several photographs for you this morning as I have been quite busy.  I've also been canning vegetables but I haven't taken pictures as of yet.  Maybe for next week...

First up is the card I made using the flowers that were on my desk last week.  I love how it turned out and think once received, it will be loved!

Next is my desk this morning with more flowers beginning.  The pink thingy is a flower shaping mold from Heartfelt Creations.  It is such a life saver if you are old and have arthritis.  It adds lots of dimension to the petals with one pass through a die cutting machine.  I save my pennies so I can purchase them!

And lastly is another desk in my room where I photograph my projects...you can see the corner of the white board I use as a background for them and my "high tech" lamp from Walmart for additional lighting.  We can make do with whatever we have in a pinch!  I just pulled the dies out of one of the drawers of the desk so I can see them.  For me, out of sight, out of mind.

Well this is it for me my friends.  I hope I have kept your interest for a little while.  I'm off to visit as many of you as I can!
