Quick and Easy Slimline Christmas Card...

Good morning friends!  I'm here on this rainy, windy Monday morning to share my new passion!  Slimline cards and now one of my favorite things!  You will be seeing a lot of these to come so I hope you enjoy my creations!

My card is inspired by a card on one the Gina K Design videos.  I stamped this old stamp of mine in embossing ink and used white embossing powder to emboss.  The sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations and the trees are an old Stampin Up stamp.  I'm not sure if it has been retired or not but I have never  been able to part with it in all these years!

This is short and sweet this morning but I hope you enjoy my card!  I have actually finished all the Christmas cards I need but I just can't seem to stop making them!

Have a wonderful Monday!

Instructions: Using the largest die from HCD2-7327 Elegant Swirl Gateway Die cut a piece of sheet 11B from the paper collection. This becomes a base or a shadow piece of the card front. Using Sheet 12B of the paper collection and the next die down and the smallest die from the die set, diecut. Glue this to the purple base piece and then to the card front. Using the die next to the smallest and white card stock cut this piece to be glued onto the card front. Glue it into place.

Wet the seam binding and scrunch then I laid down color onto my glass mat and pulled the seam binging through the ink to color. Set aside to dry. When dry tie a bow and set aside.

Next we will work on the flowers and leaves. I stamped the leaves with Fern Green and colored with Leaf Green. I colored the purple flowers with Majestic Violet and then colored with Sun Dazed in the center and Majestic Violet on the outside. The yellow flowers were stamped with Sun Dazed and colored with the same. Using coordinating dies, cut out the flowers. Spritz the flowers and leaves with water and run through the die cut machine inside the mold. Turn them out onto my mat to dry. When dry I poked a hole in the center and threaded through the stamen and used hot glue to hold them in place.

I used a piece of Scor-Tape and hot glue to adhere the bow to the card front and decided on my flower and leaves placement then hot glued them down.

The second panel was achieved by picking a pretty panel of the paper collection and using the largest die in HCD2-7325 Scalloped Flourish Gateway Die to cut out. Glue it down and this pretty piece of the paper collection will do the heavy lifting of this panel.

The back panel is achieved by cutting a shadow panel using Page 10B of the paper collection. Cut the decorative piece of the die set out of Page5-A of the paper collection. Glue it to the purple shadow piece. Using the center part of the die set to cut out the sentiment and then I glued a scrap piece of Page 5A to the back of the purple panel. Glue everything down and this completes the card.

Regal Blooms.....

Good morning friends!  We have once again rolled around to Wednesday and it's time to share another Heartfelt Creations project with you!  As we continue along with the beautiful Dazzling Dahlia collection I'm using them to grace the front of my card.  They are such beautiful blooms and able to carry the whole card all by themselves!

Other Products: Hot Glue Gun, Die Cut Machine, White Cardstock

For more tips on creating with the Dazzling Dahlia Collection watch the tutorial at https://youtu.be/KIIpo2C9oDs.

Instructions: My finished card size is 5" x 7". Make card base and cover with a piece of 11B from the paper Collection. Set aside to dry. Using the Regal Frame and Accents Die to cut out a piece of the paper collection...I used 5A. I also cut a piece of white cardstock to mount this on, to give it a bit of stability. I cut the next layer using white cardstock. Glue to the colored shadow piece and I used DDOTS to mount to the front of the card. Now cut a piece of page 10B (green) to lay down to mount flowers onto.

Stamp the petals using Rose Madder and color using Rose Madder and Buttercup. Cut out using the coordinating dies, spritz with water and run through the die cut machine inside the mold. Stamp the leaves using Fern Green and color using Leaf Green. Cut out using the coordinating die and spritz with water then run through the die cut machine inside the mold. Allow the leaves to dry. When I turned out the flower petals, I did a bit of extra shaping using my fingers to make a point. Allow the petals to dry.

When the flower petals are dry use hot glue to form the shapes of the flowers and the buds. Decide on placement and use the hot glue gun to adhere to the card front.

Christmas Cards ... One After Another

Good morning friends!  Are you like me and slowly but surely finishing your Christmas cards?  Some people do a mass card creation and make 50 or 100 all at once but I do one at a time mostly with maybe only two that are the same.  If I do more than that, I get bored with the whole process and wind up bogged down. So this morning I have my next card to share with you!

The paper I used is The Festive Winterscapes Collection from Heartfelt Creations and the die I chose is Courtyard Elegance with a pop of Luxe Gold Cardstock from Heartfelt Creations as well.  I have a few poinsettias already made up and waiting to be used depending on the color of my card.  I like the traditional red and green for Christmas but deep down I especially love the non-traditional colors of pink and blue.

Well that does it for me today.  It's Friday and the weekend is upon us.  Whatever you do, please stay safe!

For more tips on creating with the Dazzling Dahlia Collection watch the tutorial at https://youtu.be/KIIpo2C9oDs.

Instructions: My finished card is 6" x 6". I used the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper to make the card base because of strength and durability. Cut a piece 6" x 12" and score at 6" to make the card base. Using Sheet 10B of the paper collection cover the card base.

Using Fern Green, stamp the leaves and color using Leaf Green. Cut out with coordinating die, spritz with water and run through the die cut machine inside the mold. Turn out onto desk to dry. I stamped the flower petals using Buttercup ink and also colored with Buttercup. Cut out with coordinating die, spritz with water and run these through the die cut machine inside the mold. Turn these out to dry. At this point I did a bit of shaping the edges of the petals with my fingers. I just pinched them a bit to form a point then set aside to dry.

When everything is dry, hot glue the layers and the center of the flowers I used hot glue to shape and hold the form. Add glitter and allow to dry.

Now cut out the Ornate Pocket Accent die using white cardstock. I added glitter and set aside to dry. Using the luxe gold cardstock cut out the circle using the Courtside Elegance die.

Glue down the white piece and layer the gold over it. I used DDots to adhere the gold layer. Glue the flower and leaves to the center of the card.

Using Leaf Green ink stamp the sentiment onto white cardstock, cut out using one of the dies from the Ornamental Tag dies set. I also edged around this piece with Leaf Green ink. I used dimensional tape. I added the Prills to the little winged creature and covered with Glossy Accents. Allow this to dry. When dry add it to the edge of the sentiment piece and your card is finished.

A Split Face Christmas Card.....

Good Monday morning my friends!  I hope you have a great beginning to this week!  I'm here sharing yet another Christmas card with you.  I still have a few more to make but I don't do the assembly line type of card.  I want each one to be different and these last few days I've been striving for more of a card that is flat and easy to maill.

I used more of the Snowy Pines collection from Heartfelt Creations and the paper did most of the heavy lifting.  It is a quick and easy card and I just love the beautiful cardnals featured on this one.  The best part of this card is I think it is so pretty and it can be mailed with a single stamp.  Those of you making the very dimensional cards understand what I mean when I say it is like a breath of Spring time to be able to mail with one stamp. Oh I still make some that must use the clear boxes from Heartfelt Creations but those cost almost $4.00 to mail.  If you have several of these to mail, it is way too expensive!

I hope you enjoy this as much as I have enjoyed making it.  Be sure and check back on Wednesday for the new release of the Dazzling Dahlia collection!  You are going to love this one!

For more ideas on creating with the 5 x 7 Decorative Frame Dies, watch the tutorial at https://youtu.be/qdBFA5VpmSo.

Instructions: My finished card measures 5" x 7". Cut a piece of heavy weight cardstock 7" x 10" and score at 5”. Cover with a piece of the paper collection that has had the edges inked with Majestic Violet. Cut the largest Royal Elegance Frames out of white cardstock. Ink the edges using Majestic Violet ink and add glitter to the edges of the frame. Glue down onto the card front. Pick a coordinating piece of the paper collection and using the next smallest size die cut a purple oval. Using DDots adhere to card front. I took the plain oval die and picked a piece of the paper collection and cut it out. Stamp the sentiment onto the top of the oval and use dimensional tape to adhere to the card front. I also edged this oval with Majestic Violet Ink.

Using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper, stamp the flower petals using Majestic Violet Ink. Color the petals with Majestic Violet and cut out using the coordinating dies. Stamp the leaves using Fern Green ink and color using Leaf Green ink. Cut out the leaves using coordinating dies.

I shaped the flower petals and leaves using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. The larger flowers have the Rose Hip Stamens Large covered in Crystal Clear Glitter for the centers. I used hot glue and Minnie Pearl Prills for the two smaller flowers. Decide on placement for the leaves and flowers and using hot glue adhere them to the card front. The Card is finished!

Another Christmas Card.....

Good morning friends!  I turned around and suddenly it is November and soon this terrible year will be over.  I know it is that time of year but the frost is on the pumpkin and the leaves are falling like rain! I heard my little Yorkie sitting at the back door barking and the bark was not an alarm like when the squirrel comes to visit so I went to check on her.  I watched for a bit and each and every time a leaf fell she would bark!  It's going to be a long Fall!

This morning I'm here to share another Christmas card.  I have made several but I need a few more so I will keep working on this.  I would love to be able to mail my cards without extra postage.  It is so expensive to mail a card in one of the plastic boxes from Heartfelt Creations so I save those boxes for my very special cards.

I'm sorry for the glare but gold cardstock is almost impossible for me to photograph!  I used The Snowy Pine collection to make this card.  Most everything is cut from the paper and then I added Dries White Glue and Rajni Chawla's Crystal Clear Glitter.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I have enjoyed making it.  You just might find this in your mailbox this Christmas!
