WOYWW #532....

Good morning fellow crafters and welcome to my little corner of the world!  I'm here sharing what is going on here by sharing a photo of my desk in all it's glory!  If you are curious about this photo and why I'm showing it on my blog just head over to Julia's blog (the creator of this world wide blog hop) and have a look around.  She has the instructions listed on the top of her blog.  So come join us, we are a fun loving group and we don't bite!

I've been making some greeting cards for friends and family and using up some of the paper stash I have.  If I work like mad until I die, I still won't use it all so I'm cutting into some of my much loved pieces and sharing the joy!  I've been embossing a strip along the bottom of some store bought envelopes to give them a bit of interest and fancy them up a bit!  Heartfelt Creations makes it very easy to make a card by just cutting a card front and gluing it to a card base then I just add some glitter and keep the inside blank so it can be used for any occasion.  These mail easily and only take one stamp.  Some of my dimensional cards cost almost $4 to mail and I think that is just crazy!

Well that does it for me this morning.  I'm off to link up and visit as many of you as I can.  Have a great creative day!

What a great idea for adding interest to an envelope Glenda. Love the card toppers, it must be a wrench to cut them up and actually use them. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #9

I think most crafters have stash they will never use in a normal life time....I know I do unless I live til I'm 200 :-)

Morning Glenda. You are not alone in having more stash then you will use in a lifetime!! Don't we all?? When I go away I always try to give someone else a holiday by offering them the opportunity to stay in my home. I live in the most beautiful area of North Wales, so it just makes sense... and I always tell folks to help themselves to craft making whilst they are here - in the hope the stash will be reduced!
I love your cards. Well done. I also try to keep cards "thin" if they are going in the mail - it does indeed get very expensive to send them when they are more 3D
Thanks for already visiting and for your comments. I do indeed feel incredibly privileged and blessed to have this opportunity to see such amazing places.
Take care. God bless.

Good Morning Glenda. Love the two cards that are on your desk along with ones you are working on. Always a very organised and busy desk from you and I love to visit. Hope you enjoy a Good Week. Hugs Rita xxx

The cost of sending dimensional cards is horrendous I have to say and a flat card can take away the joy of creating if you are anything like me.. I just like to add those extra touches. Be brave with cutting into those papers, they will make stand alone cards if those two are anything to go by. Beautiful.

Beautiful cards, Glenda! You're right, we have to use up our stash while we can! No point being precious about it! Plus, it makes room for more to buy. Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #19

Hi Glenda, and yes, you are right, we need to use it. I've got paper I've had for years, which is silly. Love the cards, gorgeous. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X

There's nothing wrong with making a simple card! Especially when it uses up stash...seriously, what is the point of hanging onto things? I use everything I buy and don't hang onto anything. I do like your wonky blue scissors!

It's such a shame that it costs so much to mail a good wish to someone. Quite often a cheery card can mean so much to someone that it would be nice to be able to send them out willy nilly (like confetti).
Nice cards you have done, but then you always do nice cards.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Your cards are so pretty, and good on you for using up your stash - I find it far too easy to hold on to stuff that's too special and lovely to use!
I hope you have a great week,

Gorgeous cards Glenda. Interestingly I suspect you're not the only one with more stash than you could use in a lifetime and I've been busy trying to find ways to use up some of them, we just need to keep trying. Wishing you a happy woyww and a lovely creative week, Angela x15x

I know Glenda. But since I started WOYWWing, I’ve seen other stashes that are bigger than mine and although it doesnt make me feel better, it certainly helps me to logicalise new purchases!! What? I know. I am at least using it all though, although like you, I will probably outlive my supply!! I love the gussied up envelopes, what a super simple and effective idea. Dang, this particular WOYWW has been very inspiring, thanks for sharing!

Hi Glenda, I think I'll be borrowing that idea to fancy up some envelopes. I've only been crafting a few years, but I think I've accumulated a paper stash that will outlive me! I'm working on using it up though. I haven't tried my smaller plates in the Gemini yet but if they do warp then so be it. Nature of the beast as you say. Have a lovely week, hugs Heather xx #25
