New Direction....

My kind hearted sister just bought me a new Cricket Explore Air 2 machine and I am slowly learning the  mechanics of the machine.  It will be a slow go for this old girl!  I found a cut file from Jennifer Maker and cut it and it made a gorgeous card but I just felt like it needed something.  A flower maker always feels like it just needs a few flowers to make it complete!

I hope you enjoy as I think it turned out so well!  Jennifer Maker makes it so easy for us beginners and I truly love her designs!

New Split Front Cards for my Stash...

I have recently begun the huge task of using up some of the massive hoard of pretty  papers I have accumulated over the years.  As you might suspect the majority of the hoard is Heartfelt Creations but I opened a drawer yesterday and found a stack of Graphic 45 8" X 8" paper pads.  These two split front cards were made using the video you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7mK-szgV9o   by Patti Dolan.  I now have my pattern so I can now make these pretty cards whenever I want.  Both of the cards I'm sharing are using the Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments from long ago and far away.

I have been following Leslie Miller at Running with Scissors for many years and she has been sharing this lovely design.   She sparked my interest with the beauty of her cards and of course I had to go in search from my own pattern to use myself.  Thank you Leslie!

I had two sheets of this paper...flowers on one side and dots on the other so I just cut enough to make two cards.  The florals are from Heartfelt Creations Summer Wreath Accents.  And here is my second card...

Both my cards lie flat for mailing with one stamp and this makes me very happy!  I hope I can inspire you to  use this design for making your cards as they are so easy and do pack a punch!

New Die in The House...

I just purchased a new die to use with my cardmaking and I have to say I love it!  The one die cuts the whole card base with score marks and you just fold and add pretty paper and your card is ready to go. The die came from Temu...many people don't like this company but I find their craft supplies are pretty good and dirt cheap.  Here is my first card ready for the mail.

And the next photo is the inside of the card:

The papers are from the Heartfelt Creations Sweet Magnolia Collection and those sweet little flowers are from my stash.  When I make flowers for a card the ones i don't use go in a big container and I find lots of goodies in there these days! The card uses magnets to keep it closed so it will have it's best foot forward at all times.  I think I'm in love and you will be seeing this die used again and again!
