Inspiration Wednesday with Heartfelt Creations...

Good morning friends!  I'm here this morning to share with you another card I have made using the New Simply Elegant Centerpiece die from Heartfelt Creations.

You can see my card details in the Heartfelt Creations Gallery.

My finished card size is 6 X 6.  Make card base using Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper.  Cut a piece of Orange cardstock just a bit smaller and glue to card front.  I distressed the edges so they would curl a bit.  Cut a piece of Sheet 11B of the paper collection just a bit smaller than the orange cardstock.  I adhered this to the card front using dimensional tape.

Using White Cardstock die cut the Simply Elegant Centerpiece die.  I used a Hydra Sponge and Designer dries clear glue to add Crystal Clear glitter to the die cut piece.  Set aside to dry.  Once dry glue it to the card front. I shifted this die cut off center just a bit because I plan to add flowers and leaves down the side and I wanted as much of this beautiful die cut to show as possible.

Stamp the flower petals using Dandelion ink and stamp a few using Fern Green.  The green petals will be used to make the Sunflower buds. Stamp leaves using Fern Green.  Color green petals and leaves with Leaf Green and highlight with Olive.  Color the yellow Sunflower petals using Dandelion, Sunflower, Cantaloupe and Rhubarb Stalk. I used the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper for the flowers and leaves.  Use coordinating dies to cut out the flowers and leaves.  Lay onto the mold, spritz with water and run through the die cut machine.  Turn everything out onto the desk to dry.  Once dry glue two petals together to make the Sunflowers.  I used the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit to add more dimension and shaping to the green petals and then used hot glue to secure the shape.  Add glitter to the flower petals using Hydra Sponges and Dries Clear Adhesive and allow to dry.  Now you can add the homemade Sunflower Center product to the flowers.  Allow to dry. Once everything is dry decide on placement and glue down.

Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of Sheet 1B of the paper collection using Olive ink and cut out using the decorative center piece of the die set.  Adhere to the center of the Centerpiece die using dimensional tape.

I was able to slip it behind the flowers and leaves I had already glued down.  You might want to add this before you secure your flowers.

Introducing the New Elegant Centerpiece Dies from Heartfelt Creations....

Good morning friends.  I'm here to help introduce the New Elegant Centerpiece Dies from Heartfelt Creations!     These Centerpiece dies can be used in so  many ways to help you create those one of a kind cards for any season!

All the details and products used on my card can be found here.

Use the Simple Centerpiece Die to make a shaped card using a piece of the Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper.  It is the perfect weight for cards.  Using the same die cut a piece of Sheet 8B of the paper collection and glue to card front.  Using the Elegant Hearts Centerpiece die, die cut one piece out of white cardstock.  Glue to the card front.

Stamp the Rustic Bucket using Memento London Fog ink and then stamp the flower spray using Archival Fern Green ink. Color the greenery of the flower spray using Leaf Green and highlighting with Olive.  Color the bucket with London Fog ink and then use the coordinating dies to cut out the bucket and the spray.  Glue down the bucket, tucking a corner behind the Elegant Hearts Centerpiece die.  Lay the Spray over the top of the bucket and glue it down.

Stamp the flowers with Dandelion ink and color using Dandelion, Cantaloupe and Rhubarbf Stalk inks.  Stamp two flower petals using Fern Green Ink and color using Leaf Green ink.  These will make the Sunflower bud.  Stamp the leaves with Fern Green and color using Leaf Green ink and edge with Olive ink. Use coordinating dies to cut out the flowers and leaves.  Lay onto the shaping mold, spritz with water and run through the die cut machine.  Turn out onto the desk to dry.  On the green petals I used the Flower Shaping kit and shaped the bud and then I used hot glue to hold in place. When the flower petals are dry, glue two together being careful to offset the petals.  I used a homemade center product to go into the center of the sunflowers.  Set aside to dry.  Once dry I used a Hydra Sponge and Dries Clear Adhesive to add glitter to the flower petals.  Once everything is dry, decide on placement and glue down Sunflowers, Leaves and the bud over the top of the spray.

Using a piece of Sheet 11B Stamp the sentiment using Olive ink. Using a die from the Ornamental Tags Die Set cut out the sentiment.  Using dimensional tape, glue to the card front and the card is finished.

Fall Leaves...

Good morning friends!  Here in east Tennessee we are beginning to have hope Fall is on the way!  Trees are beginning to have a hint of color here and there, just a reminder that it is coming!

I have become a big fan of the CAS cards and so I decided to play along in the Addicted to CAS challenge.

I stamped an image onto white cardstock and colored using various Memento and Archival inks then cut out with coordinating die.  I diecut a stitched rectangle and mounted the leaves on that.  Also cut out the letters and mounted onto another stitched rectangle.   The image and letters are from Heartfelt Creations.  I love how this turned out and will be doing more CAS cards.  I love that you can mail using one stamp!

Inspiration Wednesday with Heartfelt Creations...

Good morning my crafty friends and welcome to my little corner of the world!  I'm here this morning to share another Rustic Sunflower card with you!  You can get a list of supplies used here.

Make card base by taking the base die in the Decorative Circle Die set and laying it slightly over the edge of folded cardstock large enough to accomodate the die.  Run through the die cut machine.  Cut a piece of layering weight white cardstock using the same die only don't fold the cardstock.  Glue this piece to the base card thus creating the finished look of the shape.  I used a piece of Sheet 10B of the paper collection to cut out another base piece and then glued it to the card base.  Now we are ready to move forward with the rest of the card.

Using the decorative die of the set, cut out one using white cardstock and one using Luxe Gold Cardstock.  Offset them just a bit so the gold shows just a bit behind the white piece and glue together.  Use dimensional tape to secure this to the card base. Next I created a round scalloped frame using gold cardstock, one of the round scalloped circles from the set and a circle die from the Eyelet Circles and Basics Small die set. I also cut out a piece of Sheet 10B using this same scalloped die.  Glue the gold frame over the blue die cut being careful to match the scallops.  Glue this frame piece to the card front.

Now we are going to work on the Sunflowers and leaves. Stamp the flower petals onto Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper using Memento Dandelion Ink.  Also stamp a few using Fern Green ink.  Color the petals using a mix of cantaloups, Rhubarb Stalk and Sunflower Ink.  The green ones were colored with Leaf Green ink and hilighted with Olive. The Sunflower leaves were stamped with Fern Green ink and colored with Leaf Green ink and hilighted with Olive ink. Use coordinating dies to cut out.  Lay leaves and flower petals onto shaping mold, spritz with water and run through the die cut machine.  Use the Flower Shaping Tools to add a bit more dimension by applying pressure to the centers of the petals. On the yellow flowers centers add a home made product that I mixed up just for Sunflowers.  Allow to dry. Add glitter using a Hydra Sponge and Dries Clear Adhesive and allow to dry.

Stamp a sentiment onto a piece of Sheet 1B using Black ink.  Cut out using the flag piece and cut off one end so it will fit on the card.  Decide on placement and glue down.  Decide where you want the flowers, leaves and the green sunflower buds and glue down.

You can find my card in here  The Heartfelt Creations Gallery.  You can also see the other cards from the rest of the Design Team there. You will find lots of inspiration there and I'm sure you will enjoy looking around!

My card size is 5" X 7".  Make card base and cut the front flap in half at 2 1/2".  Decide on placement for the magnets and glue down.  Cover the front flap with a piece of Sheet 1B of the paper collection.  Die cut the Adorn It Pocket Accents die using white cardstock.  Glue it to the inside of the front flap and then cover the flap with a piece of Sheet 1B of the paper collection.  Cover the inside with a piece of Sheet 9B of the paper collection.

Die cut the sentiment out of white cardstock and do the shadow piece using a piece of Sheet 8B of the paper collection.  Edge the edges with Olive ink and use dimensional tape to adhere to the card.

Using Dandelion ink, stamp the sunflower petals and color using Dandelion, Cantaloupe, Sunflower and Rhubarb Stalk ink.  Cut out with coordinating die.  Stamp the leaves with Fern Green and color using Leaf Green ink shaded with Olive ink.  Cut out with coordinating die.  Lay flower petals and leaves onto the shaping mold, spritz with water and run through the die cut machine.  Lay out onto the desk to dry. Once dry glue two petals together being careful to offset.  Add the homemade center product to the center and allow to dry.  Once dry use a sponge to add glue to the edges of the petals and sprinkle with glitter.  Allow to dry.  Stamp the Sunflower plant 3 times using Rich Cocoa ink and cut out using the coordinating dies.  Snip off the flowering part of the plant and color the green part using Leaf Green and Olive ink.

Stamp the can onto cardstock using London Fog ink and cut out using the coordinating die.  Color using the Stack and Store Daubers and the Dove Blender Pen.  Stamp the freezer onto white cardstock using Rich Cocoa ink and cut out using the coordinating dies.  Fussy Cut the floral part of this stamp and color using Leaf Green and Olive ink.

Add the can to the front panel of the card using dimensional tape.  Adhere the floral piece fussy cut from the freezer. Also glue down one of the green stalks from the Sunflower plants.  Cut the green leaves from the other two die cut plants.  Glue them here and there on the fussy cut piece and then add the Sunflowers to the card front.

Inspiration Wednesday with Heartfelt Creations...

Good morning friends and welcome to my world.  This post is going to be another long one as I have two cards to post.  So bear with me and enjoy.  You can get lots of inspiration by going to the Heartfelt Creations Blog.

My first card is Starry Night Festive Poinsettia and you can see it here in the Heartfelt Creations Gallery.

My finished card size is 6 X 6.  Make card base using Deluxe Flower Shaping paper; it is just the right weight for this use.  Cover the card base using Sheet 8B of the Home for the Holidays Paper Collection.

Using white cardstock cut two of the Starry Night decorative die.  Glue together and then glue to the card front. Set this aside while we work on the flowers.

Using Deluxe Flower Shaping paper and Archival Fern Green ink, stamp the Holly Berry Spray, Poinsettia and Holly leaves. Color the leaves with Archival Leaf Green and cut out with coordinating dies.  Color the flower petals with Archival Leaf Green and Memento Lady Bug ink.  The stamen is colored with leaf green.  Die cut everything with coordinating dies.  Lay onto coordinating mold, spritz with water and run through the die cut machine.  Turn out onto the desk to dry.  Once dry, I used the sponges to add Dries Clear Adhesive to the petals and sprinkled with Crystal Clear Glitter.  Allow to dry then glue petals and stamen together. Decide on placement of flowers and leaves and use hot glue to adhere to card front.

Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock using Fern Green ink.  Edge the piece with Fern Green ink also. Measure and cut a piece of Sheet 8B of the paper collection to fit behind the white piece of cardstock and edge this with Fern Green Ink as well.  Glue to the card front and the card is finished.

My second card is a slimline card called Rosy Birthday Wishes and can be found here in the Heartfelt Creations Gallery.

My finished card is a slinline card measuring 3 3/4" X 8 3/4".  Make card base using white cardstock.  Cut a piece of the paper collection 1/8" smaller, edge with Magenta Hue ink and glue to card front.  Pick out another piece of the paper collection and cut it 1/8" smaller than the first piece, edge it with Magenta Hue and glue it down.

Now lets work on the roses we will need for the card.  Using white cardstock stamp the rose petals using Magenta Hue.  Color the outside with Magenta Hue and Sap Green for the inside of the petals. Use the coordinating dies to cut out the petals.  I used the largest Golf tool to shape the petals bending and hand shaping. Glue together to make the rose.  I used two of the largest petals, two of the next size down petals and then 3 of the next smallest to make the center of the flower.  I used a hot glue gun to glue the petals together to help them hold their shape. The rose buds have three of the smaller leaves.  Next I stamped 6 of the smaller rose petals using Buttercup and 6 using Sap Green.  I colored them with Buttercup and Sap green and these single petals are shaped using the Flower Shaping kit then I punched a hole in the center of these petals using a small golf tool and inserted a stamen through the center.  The stamen were colored to match the flowers by rubbing them over the ink pad using a Stack and Store Dauber.  Add hot glue to the back of the flowers where the stamen comes through.

Stamp the leaves with Fern Green and color using leaf green. Use coordinating dies to cut out.  Lay them onto the mold, sprinz with water and run through the die cutting machine.  Turn out and allow to dry.

Stamp the butterflies onto Vellum using white ink and emboss with white embossing powder.  Cut out with coordinating die.  I colored them with a Stack & Store Dauber and Garden Patina and Cactus flower.  Glue two butterflies together and adhere to card front.

The Birthday sentiment was found on the paper collection and cut out.  I used dimensional tape to adhere to card front.  Decide on placement of the flowers, leaves and the butterfly and hot glue to card front.

The final step is to use a sponge and glue to add glitter to the flowers.  The card is finished.
