Spellbinders Be Leave Me Etched Dies...From Becca Feeken

Good morning friends.  I'm sharing another card I made using dies from Becca Feeken .   The set is called:  Be Leave Me Etched Dies from Stained Glass Bouquet Collection by Becca Feeken  I have really enjoyed working with these dies and they work into a lovely card that can be mailed with one first class stamp which is a gift all it's own.

My card is 5" X 6" and I used gold cardstock to accent my card.  Next a layer of white cardstock.  Cut the center larger die using white cardstock with a background of gold. I used dimensional tape to adhere to card front to give the medallion piece more dimension.  I cut the center die twice using gold cardstock.  Adhere one to the front of the medallion and cut one apart to go on each side to extend to the edges of the card.  I cut the center piece in white cardstock to hold the sentiment.  STP-036 Build a Sentiment was used for the birthday sentiment.

Cut the flowers with dark purple paper from Heartfelt Creations Cascading Petals Paper and white cardstock.  Glue together and add a flat back pearl to the center.  Use more of the paper from this collection for the leaves and I used gold cardstock for the overlay of the leaves.  I used more gold cardstock for the curly pieces and glued them to the right hand corner of the card front.

Decide on placement of the flowers and leaves and use hot glue to glue down.

Debuting the Royal Gateway & Sentiment Dies from Heartfelt Creations...

Good morning my friends.  Go get your favorite morning beverage and come and lets have a visit this morning.  I have two new cards to show you this morning so it will a long post.  Get comfortable and let's get started!

Heartfelt Creations is releasing the brand new Royal Gateway & Sentiment Dies and they are just glorious!

My first card is the Pink Magnolia Gateway:

Other Products: Hot Glue Gun, Die Cutting Machine, White Cardstock

Instructions: Make shaped card base using the shadow die from the Royale Gateway Die. Cut another shadow piece and glue to the card front. Using Sheet #5B of the paper collection cut using the shadow die. Edge around the die cut using Magenta Hue ink then glue to card front.

Using white cardstock cut out the Royale Gate and snip the center so it will open and show the pretty piece of paper. Glue it down.

Stamp the Sweet Magnolia Buds spray and color. Using Memento New Sprout ink stamp the Sweet Magnolia flowers and then add color using Magenta Hue and Toffee Crunch. Stamp the leaves with Fern Green and color with Leaf Green and Magenta Hue. Cut out using coordinating dies and then place onto the mold. Spritz with water and run through the die cutting machine. Turn out onto the desk to dry. Form the flowers using hot glue and then decide on placement and glue down. Add glitter to the flowers and leaves and the card is finished.

Next up is my Palace Elegance card:

Other Products: Die Cutting Machine, Hot Glue Gun, Dimensional Tape

Instructions: My finished card size is 5” x 7”. Make card base using white cardstock and cover with a piece of sheet 12B from the paper collection. Set aside while you work on the rest of the card.

Cut out the shadow piece of the gate using a piece of Sheet 11B of the paper collection. Using a piece of the Luxe Silver Cardstock cut out the detailed piece of the gate. Adhere the Silver cardstock to the shadow piece gluing around the edges so the gate will open. Using white cardstock, cut out the Happy Birthday Sentiment from the Ironwork Sentiments dies and glue down so that when the gates open you can see the sentiment. Using dimensional tape adhere the gate and shadow piece to the card front.

Stamp the Magnolia blooms using Memento New Sprout ink and then add Archival Magenta Hue to give just a bit of color. Stamp the leaves with Archival Fern Green and color with Archival Leaf Green with bits of Magenta Hue in places just to give the leaves a different look. Using the coordinating dies cut out the petals and leaves. Lay the blooms and leaves onto the mold, spritz with water and run through the die cut machine. Turn them out onto desk to dry. While they are still a bit damp, shape a bit more with the Flower Shaping Tools and pinch the tips together. Also twist one petal to make the center of the flowers. Once these are dry, they hold their shape. When dry I used Toffee Crunch to add a bit of color to the tip of the twisted part. I also cut off part of the twisted pieces so they don't stand up too far. Hot glue two petals together and then hot glue the center piece. Add glitter to the flowers and leaves and allow to dry.

Decide on flower placement on the card and hot glue to hold in place. The card is finished.

Thanks for staying with me to the end.  Now if you would a little more inspiration, just head over to the Heartfelt Creations Blog and check out what the other design team members have created!

Spellbinders Fan Flower Transom Etched Dies Card...

Good morning my friends.  I was asked if I would like to work with some Spellbinders products and of course I jumped at the chance!

The Fan Flower Transom Etched Dies is part of the Stained Glass Bouquet Collection by Becca Feeken. This set of 11 thin metal dies creates a stunning piece with other accents of flower and leaves. The transom design comes with its two outer rim pieces. Nest them all together to cut one whole piece. Use one of the outer cut pieces to create a decorative edge.

A beautiful assembly of stained glass inspired patterns can be found in the Stained Glass Bouquet Collection from Amazing Paper Grace by Becca Feeken. Look at the wonderful details only seen in these amazing works of colored glass art.

My card is 4 1/2" X 6 1/2".  I made the card base and used a piece of Heartfelt Creations Wild Rose paper collection to cover the front.  I die cut the Transom out of white cardstock and again using gold cardstock.   I glued the two together so the gold piece is showing just a bit under the white piece.  Just slide the white piece over just a bit and glue together.

I used a dark pink piece of the paper collection to cut out the floral shadow center of the transom and covered it with Ranger Glossy Accents to give it a stained glass look.  Set it aside to dry.  Once dry glue to the back of the transom.  Cut a piece of coordinating paper to cut out the shadow die for the transom.  I used a light pink piece of paper.  Glue to the back of the transom to finish.  Glue to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment onto white cardstock using Magenta Hue Archival ink  and glue to a piece of the gold cardstock. I used dimensional tape to adhere to card front to give it a bit of dimension.  Tie a bow using light pink seam binding and adhere to the corner of the sentiment piece.

I used  an oval die to cut out pieces of the dark pink paper to match the center piece of the Transom.  I cut them apart to get the little corner pieces of the card.  I added a gold flat back pearl to each corner.

This card is flat enough that it can mail with a single stamp which is important with the rising postage costs.

This gives it good stability. Using the Hydra Sponge apply Dries Clear Adhesive to the oval and sprinkle Crystal Clear Glitter over it. Set aside to dry. Turn out onto desk and using the flower shaping tools add a bit more dimension and allow to dry. Stamp the buds with Rich Cocoa ink and add color using daubers. Glue down the buds with the hot glue gun and then add Crystal Clear glitter to them and allow to dry. Using Dries Clear Adhesive glue down the buds and allow to dry.

Stamp the sentiment using Tuxedo Black ink and cut out using an oval and then cut out a matching oval using the 11B paper to mat. Using Dimensional tape adhere to the bottom of the card.

Other Products: Hot Glue Gun, Dimensional Tape, Die Cut Machine, White Cardstock

Instructions: My finished card size is 6" x 6". I used the Flower Shaping Paper to make the card base. Cover with one of the card fronts from page 2A of the paper collection. Using the circle die cut three pieces of heavy white cardstock and glue together to pop up the center then cover with a piece of page 12B of the paper. Glue this circle to the other three. Using a dauber and Magenta Hue Ink, color the edges of this dimensional circle. Add glitter to this pink center circle and allow to dry. Adhere to the card front.

Stamp the flower petals with New Sprout ink and cut out using the coordinating dies. Stamp the leaves with Fern Green and color using Leaf Green and Magenta Hue then cut out using the coordinating dies. Lay the leaves and flowers onto the 3D mold and spritz with water and run through the die cut machine. Turn them out onto your desk to dry. Using the Flower Shaping Kit add a bit more shaping to the flower petals. Layer the petals together and glue using hot glue. I twisted the smallest flower petals and cut off the bottom of them then glued to the flower centers. I added a bit of Toffee Crunch to give a more realistic look. I glittered the flowers and set them aside to dry. Now go over the edges of the leaves with Fern Green ink to give a bit more dimension and set aside to dry. Arrange the flowers and petals around the center circle and glue down using the hot glue gun.

Stamp the sentiment onto one of the tags from the paper collection using Tuxedo Black ink. Adhere to the circle using dimensional tape. The card is now finished.

Inspiration Wednesday with Heartfelt Creations...

Good morning friends!  Wednesday has once again rolled around and it is time for Inspiration Wednesday with Heartfelt Creations.  Today I thought I would switch it up a bit and you won't find one shaped flower anywhere near my card.  I know...I couldn't believe it either!

Other Products: White Cardstock, Black Cardstock, VersaMark Ink, Gold Embossing Powder, Ink Blending Brush

Instructions: My finished card is 4 1/2" x 5 1/2". Make card base and cover with a piece of the paper collection. I used Sheet 11B; it's a gorgeous shade of orange. Cut a layering piece of black cardstock (5" x 3 7/8") and cut a piece of white cardstock 1/8" smaller and adhere it to the black piece. Stamp one of the Floral Shoppe fillers onto the white cardstock using VersaMark Ink and use Gold embossing powder to make the image a pretty shimmery gold color. Stamp the sentiment below the filler piece and emboss it using the gold embossing powder as well.

I used my ink blending brush and Tiger Lily ink to add color around the embossed image and then glue this piece to the card front. By using the gold embossing powder and the Tiger Lily ink It comes out looking like something really exotic. This is a quick and easy card that packs a punch!
