Classic Petunia Birthday....

Good morning everyone and welcome.  It's July and so very hot here .... it is typical East Tennessee weather! I do much better when the temps are in the mid eighties but when the temps rise to 90 and above I just wilt!

I have been doing some light cleaning in my craft room and like all good crafters I totally got distracted!  To many lovely things to play with get in my way of dusting!  So I was looking around and decided I needed another birthday card for my stash.  I never seem to have enough birthday cards to go around and so it began!

Some pretty Classic Petunia paper from Heartfelt Creations and a fun fold design for the card and away we go!  I hope you enjoy!

That is it for me this morning.  I hope your Monday is a good one!

I'm Still Here!

Good morning my friends!  I bet you thought I had moved on but I'm still here!  I have really been in a slump since I did my Fall cards and I just made myself do my Christmas cards and now I'm trying to get back in the swing of things.

This card was made using a die from Heartfelt Creations and florals from Elizabeth Craft Florals 31!   These were released as Fall florals and I fell in love with them and decided I just couldn't live without them!  These are the first flowers I have made in such a long time as I have a jar with loads of flowers that were left over from other projects and I just tossed them into the jar!

The paper is from Heartfelt Creations Cascading Petals Collection and I just love the sweet little bird down in the front!  I had so much fun playing and hope to be back soon with more cards for you!

Fall Fun...

Good morning my sweet friends!  It is once again time for a new challenge over at the Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge where anything goes as long as you use some of your pretty papers.  This challenge there is an optional theme of Fall Papers.  Well I just happen to have a card I just made using the Heartfelt Creations Beary Fun Retreat Collection.  I still have quite a bit of this lovely paper so I'm in the process of making Fall cards for loved ones and friends and hopefully some for the nursing home.  Here is a little look at my card:

I just love all the pretty shades of green and orange...then there is that gorgeous plaid.  Those falling leaves remind me that my own trees are beginning to lose leaves  and it won't be long until there are quite a few to get rid of!

Here is a close up of some of the elements of the card design.  I have been really enjoying playing with matting everything in black.  It gives so much dimension to my cards and they can still mail with one stamp!

So I am off to work on a black cat I will use on one of my Fall/Halloween cards soon. Hope you have a lovely day!

Fall Card For My Stash...

Good morning my friends and welcome to my blog.  I'm here this morning to share a Fall card I made to add to my stash.  I'm also entering this in the Double D Challenge and the Word Power Challenge.   The theme this time is Sunflowers and look what I just happened to have lying on my desk waiting for a little card to use it on.

The papers have done the heavy lifting on this one...Heartfelt Creations Beary Fun Retreat.  The word Fall is a die I have lying about but I can't remember where it is from.  I'm afraid that is the way of a lot of things in my Craft Room.

Well this does it for me this morning.  I hope your day is a good one!

Bicycle Corner Tuck Card ....

Good morning my friends and welcome.  I'm here on the lovely Monday morning to share a fun fold card with you that has been around for a year or so but it is new to me.  I find I'm really enjoying making these cards and YouTube has a lot of videos about making these so I decided to give it a try.  I dearly love how this one turned out and I will be making more of these for sure.  I'm entering this card in the Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge.   (Any embossing folder with a twist of wheels)

I used a purple cardstock for the card base and papers from the Heartfelt Creations Sweet Magnolia Collection and the bicycle if from the Heartfelt Creations Young at Heart Collection.  The sentiment is from Just Right Stamps and is from long ago and far away.  The lovely embossing folder is a Sue Wilson folder named Fanciful Flowers.

Here is a closeup of the bicycle...

And at last the inside of the card with a look at the sentiment.

I hope you enjoy this card...it was a joy to make.  I'm always looking at new and different ways to make a different card.

That's it for me this morning...I'm off to enjoy my Sunday.

Butterfly Happiness Card...

Good morning friends and welcome to my blog.  It's kinda dry and dusty here on my blog so I'm trying to get rid of some of the spider webs and add a card here and there.  It's also a chance to share a card I made for the Love Those Beautiful Papers Challenge.  Like many of you I am a hoarder of pretty papers and find there are so many sitting in my craftroom just begging to be used.   Here is my card:

This is just one of the pretty card fronts from Heartfelt Creations and one of the tags cut out of the paper pack!  It is a very quick and easy card...it doesn't even have glitter added.  Such a fun card that reminds me of a walk in the garden!

Well that does it for me...I'm off to start my day!

Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge...

Hello my friends and welcome to my blog!  I'm here to play along in the very first challenge over at Love Those Pretty Papers Challenge .  These ladies must of been thinking about many of us.  I love pretty papers, I'm a hoarder, I admit it!  So this challenge is going to be such fun for me!  Having been on card making design teams for many years, I have lots and lots of papers just sitting here begging to be usesd.  I'm going to get back into making cards for the nursing home and for family and friends.  I have been sitting back doing very little in the way of card making so today I begin a new chaper in my crafting world.

The design of my card was copied from here:  https://youtu.be/xUCTCq-eD18  Jackie Bolhuis at Klompen Stampers made this video of making this card.  Thank you Jackie!

When the card is opened there is a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" spot for another pretty piece of designer paper.  These papers are from Heartfelt Creations and they are notorious for having gorgeous papers to play with!

Well this does it for me today!  I hope you like my card, it was a lot of fun to make.  I just love fun fold cards!

A Birthday Card for the Double D Challenge.....

Good morning my friends.  Don't faint.. it is well and truly me back with a new card I have made for a friend and also to enter in the Double D Challenge.  Things have been a little crazy around here with lots of yard work and housework and dog work etc...  You know the drill and since it's just me here it all lands in my lap.  Just about the time I have it all under control it starts to rain again.  I'm really trying not to whine but my craft time is almost zero!

I had a friend's blog pop up in my side bar this morning and she reminded me I should enter the new challenge over at  Double D Challenges.  The theme this time is:  Pick three ..... Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed or Blue

My card has Something Old, Something New, and Blue.  The old is  paper from the Heartfelt Creations Wilderness Retreat Collection.  The New is the string and the paper is blue.  I just love this sweet little bunny and the card is a new to me fancy fold with the corner pocket.  The tag opens up and you can write a sentiment inside.  I love being able to write something personal inside my cards.

New Split Front Cards for my Stash...

I have recently begun the huge task of using up some of the massive hoard of pretty  papers I have accumulated over the years.  As you might suspect the majority of the hoard is Heartfelt Creations but I opened a drawer yesterday and found a stack of Graphic 45 8" X 8" paper pads.  These two split front cards were made using the video you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7mK-szgV9o   by Patti Dolan.  I now have my pattern so I can now make these pretty cards whenever I want.  Both of the cards I'm sharing are using the Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments from long ago and far away.

I have been following Leslie Miller at Running with Scissors for many years and she has been sharing this lovely design.   She sparked my interest with the beauty of her cards and of course I had to go in search from my own pattern to use myself.  Thank you Leslie!

I had two sheets of this paper...flowers on one side and dots on the other so I just cut enough to make two cards.  The florals are from Heartfelt Creations Summer Wreath Accents.  And here is my second card...

Both my cards lie flat for mailing with one stamp and this makes me very happy!  I hope I can inspire you to  use this design for making your cards as they are so easy and do pack a punch!

New Die in The House...

I just purchased a new die to use with my cardmaking and I have to say I love it!  The one die cuts the whole card base with score marks and you just fold and add pretty paper and your card is ready to go. The die came from Temu...many people don't like this company but I find their craft supplies are pretty good and dirt cheap.  Here is my first card ready for the mail.

And the next photo is the inside of the card:

The papers are from the Heartfelt Creations Sweet Magnolia Collection and those sweet little flowers are from my stash.  When I make flowers for a card the ones i don't use go in a big container and I find lots of goodies in there these days! The card uses magnets to keep it closed so it will have it's best foot forward at all times.  I think I'm in love and you will be seeing this die used again and again!

A Quick Card to Say Hello.....

This will be sent for a special Hello as it will cost a bit to mail.  I save these for when I need to send someone a special card.

I used Heartfelt Creations for all but the sentiment.  The flowers were some that I already had made up and in a box and I can't remember all the collections.  Just start with one of the pretty dies and build the card from there!

This one just makes me happy!  I love all the flowers and they remind me of Spring.  We have been having warming weather and Spring is definitely in the air!

Well that's it for me.  I'm off for a cup of coffee...have a great Monday!

A Birthday Card....Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge...

Good morning my friends and welcome.  I'm here this morning to bring you this little birthday card made using an embossing folder.  I used the Anna Griffin Foundry folder and the sentiment is a Heartfelt Creations die called French Courtyard.  I also used some of the flowers from my stash so it was a quick and easy card to make.

I'm entering this in the Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge. This Challenge is Anything Goes Embossing with a twist of Birthdays!

I'm off for another cup of coffee.  Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

Can You Handle the Prerssure Challenge...

Good morning everyone and welcome!  I'm here this morning to share a card I made for the Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge.  I have several embossing folders and am trying to use them more so this challenge is just perfect for me.  The only rule is you must use an embossing folder.  The optional them this challenge is SNOW PEOPLE.

I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder and I think the name is Bricked.  The snowman is from Heartfelt Creations and I stamped onto watercolor paper and colored with my Inktense pencils.  I am a little behind with my birthday cards so I decided to make this one of them.  The sentiment is also from Heartfelt Creations.

Christmas Blessings...

Good morning my friends....Let Christmas Begin!  My tree is up and shimmering, the wreath is on the door, my mantlel is lit and the centerpiece on my island.  That's going to be about it as there will be no shenanigans here other than the ocassional visitor so it's all good.  Just remember, what goes up has to come down too so let's not get carried away!

I'm here this lovely Monday morning to share another Christmas card I have made and I want to share it over at the Can You Handle the Pressure challenge.

The challenge is Anything Goes Embossing with a Twist of Christmas.  My card size is 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 and it is a tent fold.  I have used an Anna Griffin embossing folder called Snowfall and the card starts out as white on white.  So I decided to add a pop of festive color to help it along.

Recently I re-discovered my old, old Spellbinders dies and I have been playing with them here and there.  I love the look of embossing on the cardstock!  You can see it better on the first picture.  I made a red base for my sentiment which is an old, old Stampin-Up stamp.  I seem to use it every Christmas so it has seen some love!  The little bits of greenery and berries are from Heartfelt Creations Festive Berry and Birds stamps and dies and I watercolored them using my watercolor pencils.

I do hope you enjoy my card and come play along in the challenge here.

Hello November....

Good morning everyone and welcome!  November is here and we woke up to a brisk 32 degrees and, as always, the closer we come to daylight the colder we will get.  I think we are scheduled to drop to 30 before day break. This is a shock to the system as a couple of days ago we were pushing 80!

I'm here this morning to share another card with you...another Christmas card for my stash.  I send several cards and also send to the nursing home for the patients to give to anyone doing them a kindness.

I have used the Holiday Ornaments collection from Heartfelt Creations and the embossing folder is from Spellbinders...I think the name is: Scenic Poinsettias.  I love the beautiful 3D embossing it achieves.

I've also decided to enter thin into the Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge.

Another Christmas Card.....

Good morning my friends and welcome.  I've been working toward getting some more Christmas cards finished and some ready for the Nursing home as well.  Of course I used Heartfelt Creations flowers and pretties and all against a Spellbinders Christmas embossing folder called Scenic Poinsettias...what more could you ask for?

All the images were colored with inktense watercolor pencils and a waterbrush.  I did many of these pretty images so I can make quite a few cards before I need to replenish my stash!  Christmas is coming!

I have decided to enter this card into the Peace On Earth Christmas Challenge.

Especially For You.....

Good morning my friends and welcome.  Come on in and lets have coffee!  I'm here happily sipping away on my first cup and I can say I'm just happy this morning.  Not too many aches and pains and up and moving...what more could I ask for?

I'm here this morning to share another card I made using Heartfelt Creations products.  I'm not going into a lot of detail but I still loving making their flowers!  I'm entering this card in the Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge.

I have been on a journey to find a card that can mail with a first class stamp and I think this one qualifies.  The pretty little die behind the flowers was one that was lying on my desk so it was perfect for my card.  I love it when that happens.

Little Bees....

Good morning my friends and welcome!  I'm here this morning sharing a card I made for the Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge.  This challenge is Anything Goes Embossing with a Twist of Bees/Behives.

I'm using my Sue Wilson embossing folder:  Fanciful Flowers.  The little bees and behive are from Heartfelt Creations Sweet As Honey Collection that retired long ago.  The images were colored with Archival inks.

I had so much fun going down memory lane to create this card.  I hope you enjoy it and I will be entering it in the Can  You Handle the Pressure Challenge.  Follow the link to see more entries and check it out...you might want to play along!

My Poppy....

Good morning everyone and welcome!  I'm here this morning to share a card I made to enter in the Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge. I love playing in this challenge.  I get to use some items in my craft room that have been needing a bit of love.  This pretty Poppy image is from Heartfelt Creations and I used Inktense watercolor pencils to color them.  I hope you enjoy.  Then, of course I used an embossing folder from long ago and I'm sorry but I do not remember the name.

I hope you enjoy my card...I had so much fun making it.  It is so much fun to make something using some of the products I have stuck back in my closet.

WOYWW 742....

Good morning everyone and welcome to my blog.  Wednesday has once again rolled around and it is time to share a look at my work space. Miss Julia at Stamping Ground is the owner of this little get together and she allows us to use her space each and every week!  How generous is that? I have been pulling out stamps and dies from all the years of being with Heartfelt Creations and putting them where I can see what I have to play with.  They are in numerical order and the flower shaping moulds are also there so I can find what I'm looking for. This is only a portion of my products as the two towers sitting on my desk are also filled with Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies.  They are a very generous company and each and every month they sent me a big box filled with the complete release for that month!  I have enough product to last me the rest of my life.

Also there are two crates of some of my decorative papers from Heartfelt Creations too.  Now that they have released the design team I have lots of time to play and do some of the things I have been wanting to do.  Below is one of the four boxes I made for the ladies in the group that meets at my sister's house once a month for lunch.  Now and then I go along and I like to make something with flowers for all four of them.

Like I said I made four boxes alike but with different papers.  I made quite a few sunflowers and of course each box had a dragonfly on it.  All Heartfelt Creations products.   I hope you enjoy!
