Good morning ladies! If you are wondering what in the world I'm doing here showing you my little mess on my desk.....well it's Miss Julia's fault! I blame it on her, but the truth is I'm totally addicted! You can visit her and get all the details by clicking on her name above. Each Wednesday, we take a picture of our work space and post it to her blog and then you can go visit everyone's blog and see what they are doing! You get a little look around, but no peeking in closets please! It's so much fun to see all the different projects that everyone has going on.
I've been working on a card using the emboss resist technique and I will be posting it in a day or two. You can see some of the colors I've used as well as the LaBlanche stamp that I used to emboss. Also there are a couple of the elements I will be using. My desk isn't too messy but I still have time to get it that way before I actually finish this card. I actually did a bit of dusting a couple of days ago so I haven't had time to really make a mess yet! Well I've shown you mine, now show us yours!
I'm off to visit some of the other desks. I never seem to actually make it round all the way but I love to try!
Have a great day and come back a little later on I will have a post for Heartfelt Creations.

Valentine Tilda....
Good morning everyone. Have you had your morning cup of coffee? I'm working on my second cup and am feeling a little sleep deprived at the moment. We are animal lovers at our house and we have aging dogs. I awoke at 1:30 AM to the sound of our 13 year old Pug coughing. Pugs are a kind hearted lot and our Niki is a sweetheart, but anyone who has been around a Pug knows they look like they ran into the back of a bus. With a smushed face, it can get hard to breathe sometimes and this morning Niki was struggling. My husband got up with her, but the activity got everyone up and so now it is 4:30 AM and I'm the only one still up! Wouldn't you know. Everyone else is sleeping peacefully and I am awake and "READY TO GO"! I feel a nap coming on later!
This morning I want to share a little card I made and I'm going to enter it in the challenge over at Joan's Gardens. The requirements this week are:
Make a card and/or tag using some kind of hearts
Use any kind of embellishments
Use, pink or red with white
Do some kind of embossing
My little Magnolia stamp is water colored with Ranger Distress Inks and set up using pink and white. I used the Mary Ann embossing folder by Cuttlebug. My sentiment was stamped and cut out with a Spellbinders die and then I used pink chalk on the paper while still in the die. I colored a half pearl with a Copic Marker to match the pink card stock. Clean and simple and pretty straight forward. I really wanted the cute image to be the important part of the card.
So I have covered all the bases for Joan's challenge and I'm good to go. Why don't you head on over to Joan's place and have a look around. She has an online shop and you just might find something you can't live without! Joan is a class act and ships quickly and your order arrives in pristine condition.
Well that is it for me this morning. I'm going for another cup of coffee. I'm beginning to wind down a little, now that it is about time to get up. It's going to be a difficult day! I will most definitely need to find time to "Breathe" today!

A Tag in Purple...
Good morning everyone, it's Monday and raining here....whats that old song...Rainy Days and Monday's Always Get Me Down. It is still a little early, but I am up and on my first cup of coffee and I realized I didn't do the prep for my post this morning, so I took the picture and got started.
I don't use purple much, but I do love it. I found some purple design paper, I have no idea of the manufacturer and I covered my tag with it. I used Dusty Concord Ranger distress Ink to go around the edges of the tag and give it some dimension. Next I cut the white border using HCD 713 Lace Border Die from Heartfelt Creations. I glued this to the bottom of the tag and made a flower using HCPC 3438 Carnation Florals 2 PreCut Set (also from Heartfelt Creations) Some pretty Spellbinders leaves to showcase the flower were cut using the Foliage dies. Next I took a doily and added some color and folded so it would stand up a little and then cut a butterfly using Spellbinders Wonderful Wings dies. I added some stickles and pearls to the butterfly and glued it to the doily.
I will be adding some pretty fibers or ribbon to the top before I tuck this little baby into a gift bag for a friend.
So what do you have planned today? I've been doing some cleaning in my craft room so I guess I'll continue with that. It seems like I'm always trying to find more better ways to store things. Sometimes when I'm working, I look around and I have stuff everywhere. How does that happen? Who did that? I'm not always sure who made this mess, but I know who has to clean it up! So that is what I have planned for my day. Have a great day and try to find a little time to play and as always, remember to "Breathe"!

Good morning ladies! We have come to the end of another week. It has been a wild ride here with temps varying from the teens to near 60 degrees. It's January people.....go figure. I love the beautiful weather, but can't help but wonder what the heck is going on out there!
This morning I would like to share a card I did for Heartfelt Creations. It is a simple, easy design with just a little die cutting involved. You can get all the details here: Heartfelt Creations blog While you are there have a little look see and you will be inspired!
Well that is about all I have this morning. I'm still trying to get things straight after the holidays, so I will be doing some cleaning and storing today. So have a wonderful day and try and enjoy your weekend and as always, remember to "Breathe"!

Welcome to Heartfelt Creations Wednesday...
Good morning everyone! Welcome to Heartfelt Creations Wednesday! As a design team member we are asked to submit an altered item each month to show the versatility of the stamps. This month my project is a tussy mussy. Originally these were very small bunches of flowers that ladies carried to overcome some of the odours they came in contact with. Later the bunch of flowers was placed in a silver vase like cone; but still small. My take on this is a little larger just for display purposes.
Heartfelt Products Used: HCPC 3407 Botanical Floral 2 PreCut Set and HCPC 3405 Leaf Medley PreCut Set
Other Supplies: Designer paper, lace, Scor-Tape, hot glue gun, Ranger Distress Ink, shimmer spray, string of pearls, shear fabric, rubber band
I made a paper cone out of the designer paper. I used my hot glue gun to adhere lace to the top edge of the cone and to wind it around the cone down to the base. Stamp, cut out and shape flowers. I used distress inks to add some color to my petals. Stamp, cut out and shape the leaves. Next I sprayed the leaves with shimmer spray. Once dry, I hot glued this and the flowers to the lace to make a gathering of flowers. Glue the string of pearls around the lace at the top of the cone and make a hanger by gluing these pearls to the inside of the cone. I gathered the fabric with my fingers and then used a rubber band to hold together. I placed this down in the top of the cone.
Now you can go the the Heartfelt Creations blog by clicking on this link. You can see my creations for this week as well as the rest of the design teams lovely creations. You will also find all products used and the instructions for each project. You will find a wealth of ideas to keep your little fingers occupied for a couple of days! You can also visit the design team members individual blogs by clicking on their names on the right hand side of by blog. Look around, leave a little comment; we all love hearing from you!
Well that about does it for me this morning. Have a wonderful day and you know the drill....."Breathe"!

Birds at my feeders......
I think the little gray one with the peak on his head is some sort of titmouse...I didn't find him in my bird book. I think the yellow tinted one on the front of the feeder is some sort of wren. Do any of you know for sure?
This is a different angle...he almost looks like a tiny jay of some sort. I just started seeing these guys this year.
This one is a chickadee. Isn't it cute?
This little guy is a little woodpecker. If I remember correctly my book called him a fluffy woodpecker. That little red band around the back of his head is so bright. He comes morning and evening to get the suet block. I love watching him.
These feeders are right outside my craft room window. I spend a lot of time just watching...I used to have doves too but when we moved the feeder they seem to have moved on. I love to hear their calls and hope they come back soon. Mostly I've had these birds and lots of little wrens. It can get quite busy at these feeders, especially when it turns to bad weather.
I hope you have enjoyed my pictures this morning. Sorry I'm not more sure about the names for these little guys. I just know they bring me great joy each and every day. I hope you find something that brings you joy in your day. My new goal for 2012 is to look for the joy in each day. That is about the only resolution I made. Oh and of course....to remember to "Breathe"!
