What's On Your Workdesk? Week #517

Good morning all!  I'm here again for this little bit of madness brought to you by Julia at Stamping Ground.  If you have an interest in joining this wonderful group of like minded crafters just click on the link and go check it out!  Julia has all the details and you are always welcome!

Not a lot going on here this week. I had the house painted at the end of last week and I've been recovering ever since.  There were two days of pressure washing, caulking and then finally painting.  Then over the weekend my brother-in-law came and painted the shutters and my front door and got them back where they belong and now the house looks so fresh and clean...it makes me happy.  So you can see my attention has been elsewhere and not on my desk.  The belly band says "A Gift for You" but the card wound up in the trash.  Do you ever have those days?

Well this does it for me this morning.  I'm up in the middle of the night ... I think I'm too tired to sleep.  I will have to nap tomorrow for sure.  I'm off to comment on some of the other blogs and maybe I'll wind down a bit!  Have a great rest of the week!

Justified nap time Glenda, sounds just the ticket. Funny how we catch up differently. I could nap at any time, it’s a very time consuming thing! Oh I sense frustration with the card, yes, I have moments/hours/whole craft sessions like that. It does look beautiful from here, will you use it on the replacement card?! Love the idea of a fresh and clean hous to look at, no wonder it makes you happy. And shutters too, how pretty.

A lovely freshly painted house - worth all the hassle getting it done! I think we all share your frustration with the card - why is it that some projects go really well and others are disasters from the get-go?

Hi Glenda, good to get the repainting done. Bet it looks amazing. So annoying when something doesn't 'work' on a card, but I agreeit's better to throw it than keep it thinking 'I'll be able to rescue it', and it just hangs around for months! Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #4 X

Fortunately, I only need to clean the windows etc but that is bad enough to do. That is a major job for you to do. Hope you catch up on that sleep in some way. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafter) #5

Funnily enough it is the inside of houses that we've been painting recently (helping out #1 son). Glad the work is finished and you are pleased with it Glenda. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #2

Hope nothing gets in the sway of you having a few catnaps during the day. I find the computer or tv helps me sleep. worth a try?

Hi there. I have stopped crafting for a short time - I think I took on so much. I'm crafted out. I cancelled my monthly class and my card and a cuppa. I needed to sort the house out as well. I am looking for a new decorator the house needs painting inside after all the work last year. Our usual decorator is snowed under and I don't want to wait too long :-(

Always uplifting when we freshen up that paintwork but it's such a time consuming job. A well earned rest for all involved. I understand completely about creations that just don't make the grade but you have a fabulous belly band ready and waiting for your next creation!!

Hi Glenda! I have "those days" all the time! It will come together, don't worry! We are also going to have our house painted in May, the outside, the living room and the bathroom. I can't wait to feel all refreshed and happy about my house like you do! At the moment, our living room is grey, very dismal. We are painting it white, which should brighten it up a lot! Thanks for your visit, I will think of you when heating my back and watching You Tube! Have a great week! Lindart #30

Thank you for visiting, Glenda. Sorry you've had to deal with decorating and mess etc. but it's always great when it's all done! Your little card looks so pretty and I can't imagine what was wrong with it to end up in the bin! I hope by now you are feeling less tired.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Good morning, Glenda. Hope this late visit finds you caught up on sleep. Nothing says spring like a fresh coat of paint - inside or out. For me, it's a deep clean - which I'm working on in the studio this week. Wanna help? :-) Creative Blessings! Kelly #27
