My purple roses are made with a green center and purple edges.  The petals are shaped by spraying with water and then wrapping each petal around the end of a skewer stick and I pinch the edges together to give it a  scrunched look.  Set aside and allow to dry: glue petals together and then add green prills to the center.  I dyed the seam binding to match the rose centers by using Bundled Sage Distress Ink.  You swipe the ink across your mat, spray with water and drag the seam binding through the color.  Scrunch the binding and allow to dry.
