Good morning everyone! It's Friday and we are rushing headlong into the weekend. Our temps are warming once again into the 50's and we are all turning our thoughts toward Spring. I noticed a couple of Maple trees in my yard that are trying to put out new leaves. I sure hope they don't get nipped back. But that is a sure sign of Spring to me! It is coming and I am definitely ready!
I'm here to share a page from the mini album I am working on. This is my first effort in this direction so be gentle with your comments. I have always loved the idea of these but they just seemed like way too much work and I was afraid I would lose interest before I could finish. Then I realized I couldn't finish if I didn't begin. So I'm sharing the first page this morning. This album will be kept; it is just for me and I will have it sitting here in my craft room on one of my tables! Like most of you, I seldom keep anything for myself; but this one is for me!
I recently joined the design team for Craft Hoarders Anonymous and in my welcoming box there was some Graphic 45 papers. Now I only had a couple of paper pads that I had won a few years ago and I had never been properly introduced to this company. Also I found a web site that only charges $4 per shipment, no matter what you order and they have discounted prices for their papers as well. The Scrap Castle is my new best friend and I am shouting their praises from the roof tops. I have now become a hoarder of Graphic 45! My mini album will be made using Sweet Sentiments, Secret Garden and Once Upon a Springtime.
My front page is just one of the pages of the gorgeous papers and then I took another sheet and fussy cut some of the images and then used pop dots to raise them up. Also I used some glitter ... you know me there has to be glitter. The corner pieces are from Joy Crafts dies and I made a flower for the bottom corner. The little pink wings are from Spellbinders. Way back when, when you purchased a die from them they would send you a small gift in the package. These were one of those gifts. I know you can no longer get these, but I just had to use them. They are a part of my hoarded stash for sure!
OK, that's it for me this morning. Be sure and join me on Monday morning as the Craft Hoarders Anonymous design team will be bringing you a brand new challenge. Hope you can join us!

WOYWW # 247
Good morning everyone and welcome to What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday # 247. If you are wondering about this madness, just hop over to Julia's blog and she has pages at the top of her blog giving you instructions and information. Each Wednesday we take a picture of our work desk and blog about it and then link it to Julia's blog. Then we can visit each other and see what we have going on. There are so many different interests and it's great to have a look around and see craft rooms and storage ideas.
There are assorted bottles of shimmery goodness, some homemade and some new ones from Lindy's Stamp Gang. I'm always happy to be able to get those; they are just a bit nicer than the one's you make but sometimes we have to save a few pennies and make our own. A new tube of E6000 glue...some new Liquitex Matte Medium, and Liquitex Glazing Medium. I'm getting ready to get inky fingers and then shine it all up! The piece of card stock had little flower petals cut out of it. My butterfly all spritzed up and glittered and ready to grace the front of a card. So as you can see I'm getting ready to have some fun. Also an empty glass that had iced tea in it. So there you have it...I've showed you mine now show us yours!
So I'm off to visit everyone. Can't wait to see what you have going on!

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #246
Good morning everyone and welcome to WOYWW ! Each Wednesday we take a photo of our desk and blog about the messy space and then link to Julia's blog. She has pages at the top of her blog that gives you instructions on how to link up and become one of us! I have to say that I have always been quite addicted to this little madness from the very first time I found it. So why don't you come along and join in and visit all the desks from all over the world!
I have flower petals cut out and colored with Viva 3D Stamp Paint and ready to be formed. Also some new Die cuts from Heartfelt Creations as well. I'm working on a card/tag and have pulled out some assorted glues and paints, and scissors, and clips, and distress inks, and first thing you know the race is on! In the floor beside my desk sits a bin filled to the brim with some of Heartfelt Creations stamps. These are some of my favorite sentiments from them and the one's I use the most. And of course the green thing lurking there in the shadows is Maggie's bed.
Now I'm off to visit all the linked blogs so I can see what everyone has going on this morning. Can you believe we have been having thunderstorms here in East Tennessee this morning? That's very unusual for this time of year. We are usually about this cold (in the 40's) but not with thunderstorms! Mother Nature is just full of surprises!

Welcome to Challenge # 2 at Craft Hoarders Anonymous!
Good morning everyone and welcome to our second challenge at Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog! I must say you guys really supported us and joined us in the first challenge. We were all blown away by your enthusiasm. So many beautiful entries; it is going to be hard to pick just one winner. Good luck to you all!
Now go get a refill on your beverage of choice and let's spend a little time together. On to Challenge #2! It is a color challenge. (Let's see that Hoard...but only the blue stuff!) You do not have to use these colors but let this photo inspire you. This week Design Team A will be posting. You can visit their individual blogs by clicking their names on my sidebar. Next week it will be Team B's time to shine.
Just the most perfect shades of blue...don't you think? So pull out your hoarded papers and flowers and ribbons etc. and create something blue!
The prize this challenge is from Close to my Heart. It is donated by: Shar Czerwinski, an Independent Consultant for Close to my Heart!
I went into my cabinet and started pulling papers. Now I never really thought I hoarded papers because I seldom used them. I started out as a scrapbooker and so I was always thinking ahead and purchasing 12 X 12 sheets of papers I expected to use. Well I didn't scrapbook very long....it is just not my thing. I am more of the instant gratification kinda girl although there are times when it takes me days to finish a card. I could just slap on a picture and call it scrapbooking....right?...It works doesn't it? I started pulling blue papers and card stock and there were two piles I didn't go into and this is what happened:
This was just out of two bins and didn't even include the pads I own. Shocking really when I seldom use these at all. OK, OK..."My name is Glenda.....and I'm a paper Hoarder"...among other things. But remember this is an illness and there is really no treatment for it. I just noticed the cabinet in the right hand part of my picture. Just a small part of my dies...another addiction, but we will address those another day. We are dwelling on blue today.
I used some of my new hoard...Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments and Secret Garden papers! There is lots of layering and the layers have been popped up on dimensionals. Sorry, I'm still trying to learn how to show this when I take a picture. My photography skills are really lacking but I keep trying. I started with a blue background and started fussy cutting different parts of the gorgeous pages of these paper pads. I edged around the fussy cut pieces with Ranger Distress inks and then used my Art Glitter Glue and glitter to add sparkle to some of the flowers and the butterflies. Did you notice the pretty little piece of lace sticking out from under the paper? It's also hoarded...I've had it so long I don't remember where it came from. It's also over my Spring is Sprung sign! I Used pop dots and dimensional tape to give this piece lots of dimension.
OK, now pull out your blue and show us what you can do with it. Blog about your creation and show pictures. Then link your photo to Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog. You have until midnight on March 2, 2014 to upload your projects and be in the running to win the wonderful products pictured above!
Supplies:
Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments and Secret Garden papers
Glitter
Art Glitter glue
Pop Dots and Dimensional tape
Ranger Distress ink in Chipped Sapphire
Crystal Lacquer
Lace

Birthday Greetings....
Good morning everyone and Happy Valentine's Day. I'm here this morning to share a birthday card I have made. I'm afraid I didn't do many Valentine's Day cards this year and they are long gone in the mail. I just was not in the spirit of things for some reason. Usually I love this day and gladly share cards with friends, family and especially my grandsons. It just sort of slipped up on me this year for some reason.
This is for a male and not a flower in sight. I really distressed the edges with my Distrezz it All and then rubbed some Ranger's Distress ink on them. The time pieces were on a piece of paper I pulled out of my stash and I cut them out and popped them with dimensionals. Not a lot of fuss; not even a bow on this one. I like an easy card every now and then. I will tuck some money inside and write a little birthday note and send it along to my family member.
OK, that's it for me this morning. I'm off to get my day started. I'm needing to restock some supplies in between the two storms that have been coming our way. We had a good 5-6 inches on my front walkway yesterday and a prediction of another 1-3 overnight. Most of the 5-6 inches melted yesterday. Oh I will give you a quick look at my yard yesterday morning:
How's that for winter gorgeousness? It was pretty wonderful to have it, but then again I didn't have anywhere that I had to go so it was nice to sit by the fire and watch it snow!
Have a wonderful Valentine's Day and a great weekend!

What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday # 245
Good morning and welcome! It is Wednesday and once again we gather at Julia's blog and show off our spaces for each other to snoop, I mean to visit each other's blogs. Just take a picture of your space and blog about it and then link over at Julia's blog. She has instructions there.
OK, when I open these doors for you, I'm showing you my soul. I've been working in here some lately because I tend to squirrel away "stuff" in here that I really don't need right now, but maybe soon. The bottom shelf is just a mish mash of things that really could be thrown away but I keep thinking I could need it soon. I love to alter things and nut tins and oat boxes are a favorite of mine. I've sort of been working on some of my papers. I don't have a lot by some standards but for me my stash is growing. I began with no papers and always made my backgrounds myself. It is nice to have papers but I find now I don't want to use them because I might have something that needs it more later. I guess that is how we all become hoarders of a sort. I'm not going to apologize for this cabinet; I actually love it and mostly I know where everything is. I love that I can close these doors and nobody knows what I'm really like!
So there you have it. I've shown you mine, now you show me yours!

A Friend.......
Good morning everyone! I hope you are ready to begin your day and that you are looking forward to your weekend! I'm here this morning to share a card I made using Graphic 45 papers and a handmade rose and leaves. Of course there is a Spellbinders die cut on board; I seldom do a card with out at least one of those. My sentiment is probably my favorite stamp I own. As far as I am concerned this says it all. It is a Hampton Art stamp that I purchased many years ago at the local Hobby Lobby. When I saw it, I knew I had to have it and I have used it many times on cards that I have made throughout the years.
OK, this is short and sweet this morning but I've got lots going on today and I'm hitting the ground running! Have a great day and a wonderful weekend. Be sure and check in on Monday at the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog. Design Team B will be posting and you may continue to link your cards as well.

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #244
Good morning everyone and welcome to WOYWW coming to you by way of Julia's blog! Every Wednesday we come together and share photo's of our space so we can visit each other and see what we have going on in our world! I have to admit, I'm totally addicted and can't seem to manage the excitement every Wednesday morning as I take a picture and prepare my blog post in anticipation of getting to visit people from all over the world. I have to admit, I have made many new acquaintances and love visiting with everyone.
This is about as messy as I can afford to let my area get because any more items out and I begin to lose things. I use dies on most every project I work on and I'll lose a die when things get messy. The last one was gone for 2 months and it was one I used often, so you can imagine how upset I was. So I vowed to try and not let it get that messy ever again. I'm kinda crazy when it comes to my dies!
You can see I'm working on a card and I have cut out flower petals and leaves and I've been coloring them with inks getting ready to shape to go on the card front. I don't like much being finished and I hope to share it with you on Friday. You can see a case of dies in the upper left corner in front of my tubs of Flower Soft. Lots of glues and inks and a tub of glitter. Also some green PanPastel but I'm not happy with that shade of green so I just continue to use the inks.
OK, I will close for now I have lots to do before the day goes much farther. And we like to keep it short and sweet, so as not to have you lose interest! Have a good day and I'm off to visit and explore!

Welcome to the Very First Challenge for Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog!
Good morning everyone and Welcome! This is Challenge #1 for Craft Hoarders Anonymous
The challenge for the next two weeks is: "What's Your Style?" For me that is a very good question. I'm sort of "Vintage", with a sprinkling of "Girly" and topped off with a smudgen of "Classic". Share a project that showcases your signature style. Dig into your hoard and pull out items that make you shout with crafty joy! Whip up something that has your creative name all over it. Do you, because no one is you-er than you!
One lucky winner will receive this prize pack, donated by Gloria Stengel Designs!
Here is my project:
I have to admit, this card is totally me. I make my own flowers and I love pinks, greens and shades of browns together. I use a lot of Heartfelt Creations, stamps, dies and papers. Let's face it...I hoard them. I confess. a few months ago I went through some of my "stuff" and sent three large boxes of supplies, along with some dies and a die cut machine to the nursing home. Now when they have craft day, they have a few more supplies to play with. I am now feverishly working to re-stock!
Challenge Rules are here: Craft Hoarders Anonymous
OK, you have until February 16 PT to post your project on your blog and link to The Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog. The design team projects will be posted there as well.
Design Team Group "A" is posting today and February 10, Design Team Group "B" will post. You may click on the names of the two groups on my right hand side bar and you will be whisked away to their blogs. Go visit and leave a comment. We all love hearing from you!
OK, now it's your turn...go pull out those supplies and get busy! I can't wait to see what you do! And remember if you don't enter, you cannot win!
