Welcome to Challenge # 2 at Craft Hoarders Anonymous!

Good morning everyone and welcome to our second challenge at Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog!  I must say you guys really supported us and joined us in the first challenge.  We were all blown away by your enthusiasm.  So many beautiful entries; it is going to be hard to pick just one winner. Good luck to you all!

Now go get a refill on your beverage of choice and let's spend a little time together.   On to Challenge #2!  It is a color challenge.  (Let's see that Hoard...but only the blue stuff!) You do not have to use these colors but let this photo inspire you.  This week Design Team A will be posting.  You can visit their individual blogs by clicking their names on my sidebar.  Next week it will be Team B's time to shine.

Just the most perfect shades of blue...don't you think?  So pull out your hoarded papers and flowers and ribbons etc. and create something blue!

The prize this challenge is from Close to my Heart.  It is donated by: Shar Czerwinski,  an Independent Consultant for Close to my Heart!

I went into my cabinet and started pulling papers.  Now I never really thought I hoarded papers because I seldom used them.  I started out as a scrapbooker and so I was always thinking ahead and purchasing 12 X 12 sheets of papers I expected to use.  Well I didn't scrapbook very long....it is just not my thing.  I am more of the instant gratification kinda girl although there are times when it takes me days to finish a card.  I could just slap on a picture and call it scrapbooking....right?...It works doesn't it?  I started pulling blue papers and card stock and there were two piles I didn't go into and this is what happened:

This was just out of two bins and didn't even include the pads I own.  Shocking really when I seldom use these at all.  OK, OK..."My name is Glenda.....and I'm a paper Hoarder"...among other things.  But remember this is an illness and there is really no treatment for it.  I just noticed the cabinet in the right hand part of my picture.  Just a small part of my dies...another addiction, but we will address those another day.  We are dwelling on blue today.

I used some of my new hoard...Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments and Secret Garden papers!   There is lots of layering and the layers have been popped up on dimensionals. Sorry, I'm still trying to learn how to show this when I take a picture.  My photography skills are really lacking but I keep trying.  I started with a blue background and started fussy cutting different parts of the gorgeous pages of these paper pads.  I edged around the fussy cut pieces with Ranger Distress  inks and then used my Art Glitter Glue and glitter to add sparkle to some of the flowers and the butterflies.  Did you notice the pretty little piece of lace sticking out from under the paper?  It's also hoarded...I've had it so long I don't remember where it came from.  It's also over my Spring is Sprung sign!  I Used pop dots and dimensional tape to give this piece lots of dimension.

OK, now pull out your blue and show us what you can do with it.  Blog about your creation and show pictures.  Then link your photo to Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog.  You have until midnight on March 2, 2014 to upload your projects and be in the running to win the wonderful products pictured above!

Supplies:
Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments and Secret Garden papers
Glitter
Art Glitter glue
Pop Dots and Dimensional tape
Ranger Distress ink in Chipped Sapphire
Crystal Lacquer
Lace

LOL ... I am SO GLAD to see I am NOT the only one with TONS of paper (and ribbon and dies and stamps...lol). Your card is FABULOUS! LOVE all the layers and dimension. If you take a photo with your card turned to the side a bit it will show that awesome dimension you've achieved.
You've really inspired me to GIVE IT A WHIRL and now I have to embarrass myself a bit by sharing MY HOARD of paper product! LOL!
Thanks for awesome inspiration! GORGEOUS!

Glenda, this is beautiful, I love it.
Have to confess I am also "one of those" ..... hated to admit it but found once you confront it it does get better..............you start to use a few bits of the "stash"........ just a few mind you!!!!
Good luck with the challenge. I did try to enter a card but could not manage to link up. I am hopeless on the computer ..... A real technophobe that's me.
Happy crafting
Hugs

I'm a terrible hoarder of all kinds of paper, and I do notice I have a lot of blue. However, I don't know if I could ever come up with anything as pretty as your absolutely gorgeous dream of a card! I would be hoarding these papers for sure, but don't you feel good getting them on a card. Prop that beauty up somewhere and look at it every time you walk by. Looks like you had a lot of fun going through your stash!

Well I'm not a paper hoarder, but this card is FANTASTIC, brilliant array of papers you blended, brilliantly done Miss Glenda, thanks for sharing..

This is so beautiful Glenda! This is one of my favorite paper lines from G45. I love how you have created a three dimensional scene by popping up different elements on the paper.

(and I've fought, quite successfully, the urge to buy new papers. I'm bound and determined to use my hoarded stash!!)

This paper is one of my all time favorite. Used it for my mom's tea party to celebrate her 75 birthday so it's really special!
Your design work on this is especially beautiful, love all the special details!

What an amazing creation with all the glitter, lace and vintage images! I too hoard all of my stamping supplies, especially papers and embossing folders {dies too!} I'm hopeless, but I love what I have to play with at any given moment :)
