January Craft Hoarders Blog Hop
Good morning friends and welcome to the January Craft Hoarders Blog Hop! I didn't receive any new "stash" presents for Christmas, but I'm ashamed to say I did check out a couple of sales! I'm really not ashamed at all! I just wanted to make you think I am. Let's face it...once a Hoarder, always a Hoarder! A girl needs cardstock and bling and new dies; these are all necessities right?
This morning I'm sharing a card I made using the Graphic 45 Botanical Tea paper pack I've been hoarding for awhile now. I used a tiny bit of the paper before but just couldn't bring myself to use more! So I decided it was time to pull it out and just go for it. When I first cut into a page I sigh and hope I won't "NEED" this page for something important tomorrow! My card is just a lot of layers and some fussy cutting and a torn page here and there and I filled the torn part with purchased flowers from long ago before I made flowers of my own! I used dimensional tape to pop up the sign, butterflies, teapot and the bird. I edged everything with Walnut Stain Distress Ink to give it more dimension.
You should be coming here from Jacquie Southas blog After visiting me, hop over to Amber's blog next. To start at the beginning of the hop, and for the full list of Bloggers, go to Gloria's Blog! Please follow along the hop for lots of inspiration!

Craft Hoarders Anonymous February, 2015 Challenge...How I Love Thee
Good morning everyone and welcome to the February Challenge for Craft Hoarders Anonymous! This month you may create a Valentine, anniversary, wedding or other love-themed project for this challenge. You can create something that has the word "Love" on it. So go digging around on your shelves and in those drawers and find those hoarded hearts and pink sequins and papers that you have been saving for the perfect project and let's play!
I love making tags and this one used several things that have been hoarded by me for a while now. I love dies and am always checking under cushions for pennies to save so I can purchase a new die here and there. I started with a tag cut from a die I have had in my stash for awhile. Then I ran it through my embossing machine with an embossing folder for texture. I sponged some distress ink on the tag and then sprayed it with my homemade shimmer spray to soften the color and to give it a bit of shine. That gorgeous heart is also a hoarded die and the image inside the heart is a free one I found online. I just printed it off and cut it out to fit inside the heart. Next I cut out my flower petals and leaves and colored them with more inks and after they were shaped I added Glossy Accents to add some shine. The banner with the sentiment is also a hoarded die and one I use often. Then to finish off the tag I used white seam binding and colored it with ink to match my tag and scrunched it. Once dry it made the perfect topper for my tag.
Now come join us and show us your creation! You have until midnight PT on 3-8-2015 to create a project and link it to the Craft Hoarders Anonymous blog. I look forward to seeing what you create!

Craft Hoarders Anonymous January 2015 - Challenge #23 - Choose your Challenge
As you may have heard Craft Hoarders Anonymous has changed up how we do things just a bit and we are going to one challenge a month. This will give more of you time to join us in our little bit of madness and play along. We strive to use our stash and encourage you to do the same. For years I have hoarded things and now I'm playing with things I'd forgotten about. This past year has been a real awakening for me. I've seen how I hoarded things and now realize it's time to use them!
This month you can create any type or style of project you wish as long as you pick ONE (1) item from each category in the chart below! Choose your cardstock, printed paper, or other base (box, canvas, tray, etc.). Next choose your adhesive. Finally, from the chart below, choose your coloring medium, fiber, technique, texture and embellishments for your project. The combinations are almost endless! (You may choose more than one item from each category, but you MUST have AT LEAST ONE from each!) Have fun, and welcome to a NEW YEAR at Craft Hoarders Anonymous!

Here is my project for this challenge. I have to confess I purchased new Spellbinders dies in December. (They are my passion) Consider them my Christmas present to myself! Is there a 12 step program for hoarding dies? (My name is Glenda and I'm a Hoarder!)
I used the following from the chart:
Coloring Medium - Ink
Fiber - yarn/thread
Technique - Stamping-Die Cutting and Folding
Texture - Embossing
Embellish - Flowers
You are next, join our challenge; create a fun project of your own using some of your hoard then link it back to the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog. I can't wait to see what you make! You have until 12 PM Pacific Time on 2-8-2015 to create a project and link it to the blog.
You can visit the design team by clicking on their names below. Go see what they created; I promise you will find something that will inspire you along the way. We all love hearing from you and we are all excited to have you join us!

Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #21 - Celebrate the Season
Good morning and welcome to Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #21 - Celebrate the Season. Raise your hands if you hoard Christmas or other winter holiday items? Who has a drawer full of "retired" holiday papers and embellishments? Who goes crazy over the candy cane ribbons or the sparkly embellishments? Share a winter or seasonal holiday project with us. We would love to see your Christmas projects, but you may also enter Hanukkah, Kwanza, New Year's, other holiday celebration projects, or any winter-themed projects.
Celebrate the season with us!
The design team sponsor for December is Spellbinders. I have to say, I'm a walking advertisement for this company and have many of their dies. Some of mine date back to the very beginning of the company...so yes, I have hoarded them!
The lucky winner of this challenge will receive the following sets of dies from Spellbinders.
Here is my card. I started with a 6" X 6" card base and layered a piece of red and then a piece of white cardstock. I did some cut outs on the card to showcase my ornaments and raised one of the layers with dimensional tape to give it more interest . Heirloom Ornaments 2010 and Heirloom Reflections are the dies I used. I think these die cuts set against the red just makes them pop! Tie it all up with a pretty piece of ribbon and it is all ready to go!
Now you have until midnight PT on December 14th. to enter your projects. I can't wait to see what you come up with. I know the holidays are upon us but take a moment to create something wonderful for the season!
You can visit the design team by clicking on their names below or on the side bar of this blog. Go see what they have created...I'm sure you will be inspired!

Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge # 20 - Box It Up
Welcome to Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #20 - Box It Up! This challenge is to create some sort of altered box. You can create a box from scratch, or you can alter a pre-made box. Your box can be made of paper, wood, chipboard, plastic or metal. As long as you dig into your hoard to decorate a box, you have met the challenge requirements! The box does not have to be used as a box...it can be used as home decor or for any purpose you can image. Let's box it up!
Eileen Hull is the design team sponsor for this challenge and I used one of her boxes and decorated it for Christmas. I will put a glittered ornament inside as a gift for one of my neighbors. I think it turned out so elegant looking and I'm very pleased with it. I thank Eileen for giving us boxes to play with. They are a great quality product and very easy to work with!

Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #19....For All You Do...Thank You!
Good morning and welcome to the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #19. Create a "thank you" gift for this challenge. It can be a Thanksgiving hostess gift or a simple thank you card. It can be a "thanks for helping me out of a jam" present, or a "thanks for being you" scrapbook layout. As long as your project says "THANKS," enter the challenge! We want to see you de-hoard some of your stash and say thanks to someone! (Your project doesn't have to be Thanksgiving themed!) You have until Midnight PT on November 16 to enter this challenge, so get busy and show us some "Thank You"! I can't wait to see what you create!
For my project I did a Thank You Tag. This can be slipped down inside a gift bag along with a small gift or I've always felt this type of tag can be a stand alone gift!
The old shoe is from My Artistic Adventures and I handmade all the flowers and leaves but one. I had it in my hoard and decided it was time to use it! I made the centers of the flowers with half pearls dipped in chunky glitter and I love the way they turned out. I colored some half beads with a marker to match the shoe and I also colored the beads on the pretty lace. I just love this image and I will be using it on other projects in the near future! I stamped the Thank You stamp from Flourishes and cut out using the Tag Die from Heartfelt Creations. The flowers are also from Heartfelt Creations. I hope you enjoy this tag as much as I have enjoyed making it!
The sponsor for this Challenge is My Artistic Adventures and the My Artistic Adventures Team is joining us for a blog hop! What fun! Their names are listed below along with the Craft Hoarders team. Go visit everyone and leave them some love. In return you will definitely be inspired!
Supplies list:

Spellbinders Foliage Die (Hoarded)
HCPC 3405 Leaf Medley PreCut Set (Hoarded)

Looking back up at my list, I see that I used a bunch of hoarded items. Is it a good thing that I used them or does it just scream "Hoarder" to you?

Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #18 .....
Good morning everyone and welcome to Challenge #18....Layer It! I love me some layers! One good way to use up some of your hoard is to use lots all at once. So show us some layers! We need to see at least THREE layers on your project. (Ink, paint, embossing and mixed media products do count as layers. Drag out that hoarded paper and those embossing folders that are way in the back of the drawer. Use those stamps, dies and punches! Show us the layers!
My card today is a Joy Fold card and I think I really love this quick and easy card. Once you get the pieces cut and glued together, then all you have to do is layer and play, layer and play! Did you notice no flowers today? I used an old earring on the front to tuck the fold under and it sort of serves as my flower. I just wanted the other elements to come into play and I didn't think the card needed anything more to get in the way.
I used some pretty design paper and I embossed the Add a Little Dazzle metal sheet and then I cut out one of the poinsettia flowers and put on the ribbon. The deer also has a metal nose! I also glittered his antlers. I made a side pocket for one of the folds and created a cute tag for a sentiment. Did I say I love me some layers? I didn't count but I know there are more than three layers on my project and I used quite a bit of my hoard so I have accomplished what I set out to do!
One talented participant will receive this prize donated by Lindy's Stamp Gang, a $30 Gift Certificate to the Lindy's Stamp Gang store!
Just a quick reminder that our Sponsors for the month of October are: Polly's Paper Studio, Lind's Stamp Gang and Add a Little Dazzle metal!

Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #17 ... Happy Fall, Y'all!
It's time for Challenge #17 at Craft Hoarders Anonymous and our theme is: Happy Fall, Y'all! Many of us like to purchase New seasonal products EVERY season. What happens to last years Fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving products? WE HOARD THEM!!! Of course we do! Well actually I like to think of it as misplacing them instead of hoarding them. But I guess it is what it is! So drag out some of those hoarded items and create something wonderful to share with us. You can make something for Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, or any other Fall or harvest celebration! Once you have created your piece link it on the Craft Hoarders Anonymous blog. I can't wait to see what you make!
I love making tags and so I just had to make a Halloween tag to share with you this morning! I used items from all three of our Sponsors for the month of October: Polly's Paper Studio, Lind's Stamp Gang and Add a Little Dazzle metal!
I used the beautiful image from Polly's Paper and the teal matched the Add a Little Dazzle teal metal sheet so I just had to make a rose and the cheesecloth/spider web and the leaves behind the rose were sprayed with a Starburst Spray from Lindy's Stamp Gang. And low and behold I even had some teal card stock that matched beautifully. The blackbird and the checkerboard trim are also from Polly's Paper Studio on Etsy!
Craft Hoarders Anonymous' very own Ginny Nemchak owns Polly's Paper and very generously gave the design team some wonderful designs to play with and she is supplying the amazing prize for this challenge!
This prize package would be a wonderful addition to your Fall hoard. The ribbon alone is enough to make your fingers itch in anticipation! Thank you Ginny for being so generous!
Now go get busy and make something wonderful for the challenge. You have until midnight PT, October 19 to enter the challenge. I can't wait to see what you create; good luck to you all!

Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #16
Good morning everyone and welcome. It is time for Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #16. Who Loves School and Office Supplies? Most paper crafters also love school and office supplies. We love crayons, markers, shaped paperclips, notepads, folders and more. If you hoard school and office products, get them out and let's play. Use at least one item that is really a school or office supply on your project. You have until midnight PT, Sept. 28, 2014 to enter your project on the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog.
I made a 3" square box out of black card stock and covered it with paper printed from Crafty Secrets Vintage Typography CD 3. The butterflies and bingo cards are also from the same CD. I took a tiny piece of the card stock and covered a little office clip and it holds the newspaper print and bingo cards in place. Flowers are from Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies and I sprayed the flowers with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Spray in Cocklebells Coral. The centers of the flowers and some of the butterfly bodies are Gala Glitz in Brown. I love the little bit of sparkle it gave my project along with the Starburst Spray! I hope you love this little box as much as I loved making it!
The team sponsors for September are Heartfelt Creations and Crafty Secrets. The gift for this challenge is a $30 gift certificate from Lindy's Stamp Gang!

Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge #14...Button it Up!
Good morning everyone and welcome to a brand new challenge for Craft Hoarders Anonymous! It is Challenge # 14 - Button it Up! We all have buttons hoarded back in boxes and jars; all different colors and sizes ... so lets use them and "Button it Up!" The sponsors for the month of August are Canvas Corp and Altered Pages.
I'm having to sit this one out because of issues with a tooth. I have spent the last 5 days on antibiotics and pain pills and am just now beginning to feel human again. So my MoJo took the time for a little vacation. Be sure and go on over to the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Blog and see what the other design team members have created for this one! I'm sure you will find something to inspire you. So drag out those buttons and make something wonderful, then link it to the blog so we all can see what you did!
For this challenge we are doing a blog hop with the design team from Altered Pages and the prize for the winner of this challenge is a $15 gift certificate from Altered Pages! Also, leaving comments during the blog hop allows you to be entered into a random drawing for an Altered Pages Blog gift - a set of Japanese Oil Pastels and a huge Ephemera package. So be sure to leave your comments all along the way. Head over to the Craft Hoarders Anonymous blog and then follow the blog hop from there; you are sure to be inspired!
Altered Pages was started in 2003 for collages ephemera. As of 2010, under new ownership, Altered Pages became a mixed media website with a remarkable design team and active blog. The company also offers many art kits and has acquired the Mailbox Muse Kit Club. Our goal is to ALTER YOUR CREATIVITY. Visit to see the always changing products at www.AlteredPages.com.
OK, that's it for me this morning. I'm off to follow along in the blog hop! Come join us and let's have some fun!
