Hello everyone and welcome!  I'm so glad you can make it to hop along with us this month!  If you are self isolating like I am this is a lovely thing to help pass the time.

The hop starts at 8AM EDT on Friday, March 27th, 2020 and closes Monday, March 30th at 11:55 PM EDT . Winner will be announced on the HC Facebook page on Wednesday, April 1st, 2020.

A randomly chosen comment from a mystery blog will receive a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations. To claim your prize please email Heartfelt Creations at: socialmedia@heartfeltcreations.us with "Winner of the March Alumni Hop" in the subject line.

I chose the Wild Rose Collection to make the flowers for my card.  I absolutely adore these flowers and can see them gracing the front of many of my cards in the future!  I have not purchased the molds yet but they are on my most wanted list.  These roses and leaves were all hand shaped with lots of love.  I hope you enjoy seeing them here!

I wanted a different shade of prills for my flower centers than I had so I used the white Minnie Pearl Prills and spooned some out onto an ink pad then rubbed my finger over them until I was happy with the color then I let them roll into the tray and dry.  I know sometimes I'm just too picky about these things but it is what it is.  I also colored my seam binding to match.  Just lay down some color on your work pad and spray water into the ink.  Then I wet my seam binding and swished the binding through the puddle; scrunch it up and allow to dry.

WOYWW #564....

Good morning friends!  As we go through this trying time, it is so nice to know that I can visit you lovely ladies without any fear whatsoever!  I have been self isolating ever since I retired so this has not been a hardship for me at all.  I am into my second week of not going anywhere and I'm doing fine.  Wherever you are, I hope you are well and doing OK. So let's participate in this wonderful blog hop of sorts and travel the world this morning.  If you are curious about this just head over to Julia's blog and have a look around.  She has instructions for linking your blog at the top of her home page.

I used yesterday to do the cover of my mini-album.  I will still need to add a bit more...maybe another flower and butterfly and then when I'm happy with that I will turn the page and begin...  I glued the Dritz "eye" and the button with E6000 glue and then clamped it down and allowed it to dry most of the day.

I had not planned to use bling on the cover at all but I got the spine piece sideways and I used the bling to help cover the error.  I'm sure you have done the same thing of using something to cover up an error.  It is a crafters "go to" solution.

Well this does it for me this morning.  I'm off to link up and visit as many of you as I can.  Again please stay safe my lovlies and come and visit me on Facebook and here on my blog anytime!

Wild Aster Card....

Good morning everyone and welcome to Magpie's Corner.  I am into my second week of Self Isolation or Sheltering in Place or whatever you want to call it.  Thing is, since I've been retired I stay home a lot anyway so this isn't too different for me. Just knowing I shouldn't go makes me want to so I have been making flowers.  This is what I do when I hit a slump or when something is bothering me.  So wherever you find yourself and whatever you are doing during this craziness, please stay safe and well...

I used the Wild Aster stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations and lots of glitter.  The white flowers are stamped and embossed with white embossing powder and the blue are stamped with Archival Sky blue and colored with Distress Ink in Weathered wood.  I used the Rounded Lattice Window die in white cardstock against a blue cardstock out of my stash.  And then, of course, lots and lots of glitter!  After all glitter just makes me happy!

So I'm off for my second cup of coffee....enjoy the day and if you find yourself having to self isolate I'm hoping you have lots of hoarded craft supplies to play with.  As for me I can play for a long time with what I have on hand!

WOYWW #562

Good morning friends.  Are you like me and sheltering in place today?  Isn't it a crazy world we are living in?  Well it's Wednesday and I'm posting for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday...if you are curious about this little bit of happiness in the middle of the week just head over to Julia's blog and have a look around.  She has instructions for linking up with us on the top of her blog.  We would love to have you join us and  you can have a snoop in our lives.

You guys know me and when I get stuck or am trying to stay home, I make flowers.  I've been making roses this week...I have some new stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations and I wanted to play a bit.  I needed some Prills to use for the centers of these roses and I couldn't find a color I wanted to use so I decided to color my own.  I took some white prills and spooned them out onto a permanent ink pad, swirled them around with my finger and put in a tray to dry.  It just happened to be the same color I used for the edges of the roses.  I just love it when my colors coordinate!

Well I'm off for my second of coffee... and to try and visit with a few of you guys so try and have a good rest of the day.  Stay safe my friends.

WOYWW #561

Good morning friends!  It has once again rolled around to Wednesday so it is time to share what is on my workdesk. If you would like to participate in this world wide blog hop just head over to Julia's blog and have a look around.   There hasn't been anything very creative happening here for awhile.  I've been doing some much needed cleaning and moving and shuffling stuff around.  I've purged a bit and rearranged some and my desk is actually clean this morning. I do have something new in my craftroom to share with you this morning.

It's kind of large and sort of ugly but I'm in love with my new light box for photography!  I'm always wanting to take photos of my cards and through the years I've used many different things and I struggled to get good lighting for them.  This thing just makes me smile!  I'm sure there are better ones out there, but this one will do a very good job for me and I didn't really want to spend my grocery money to have a good box.

I just had to share these lovely blooms with you too!  I had several blooming in my yard so I picked these three and put them in my kitchen.  The next morning at 1:30 am I wake up to sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes and general achy body!  I struggled for several hours and then I noticed these lovlies sitting on my countertop and it hit me.  So out they went and after a couple hours I began to feel much better.  Spring has come to East Tennessee and with it comes the pollen!  So the moral of this story is leave these little lovlies outside where they belong and enjoy them from afar!

Well that's it for me this morning.  I'm off to visit as many of you as I can!
