WOYWW #564....

Good morning friends!  As we go through this trying time, it is so nice to know that I can visit you lovely ladies without any fear whatsoever!  I have been self isolating ever since I retired so this has not been a hardship for me at all.  I am into my second week of not going anywhere and I'm doing fine.  Wherever you are, I hope you are well and doing OK. So let's participate in this wonderful blog hop of sorts and travel the world this morning.  If you are curious about this just head over to Julia's blog and have a look around.  She has instructions for linking your blog at the top of her home page.

I used yesterday to do the cover of my mini-album.  I will still need to add a bit more...maybe another flower and butterfly and then when I'm happy with that I will turn the page and begin...  I glued the Dritz "eye" and the button with E6000 glue and then clamped it down and allowed it to dry most of the day.

I had not planned to use bling on the cover at all but I got the spine piece sideways and I used the bling to help cover the error.  I'm sure you have done the same thing of using something to cover up an error.  It is a crafters "go to" solution.

Well this does it for me this morning.  I'm off to link up and visit as many of you as I can.  Again please stay safe my lovlies and come and visit me on Facebook and here on my blog anytime!

Love the front cover of that journal Glenda and a bit of bling or a butterfly cover up most errors lol. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #10

It was probably a subconscious desire to use that beautiful thread of bling...it looks lovely. My cover ups are more obvious than yours and I think most frequently involve finger prints or marks from freshly inked, dropped stamps. Argh. Glad that you’re retirement plan is paying off and you’re keeping well. Xx

Wow the cover to the journal is stunning and I would never of known the bling covered anything but the spine. Well done. Stay safe and keep crafting.

Morning Glenda. That's a beautiful cover for your journal. It looks great, and the bit of glitz doesn't look out of place at all!! Looks good.
Glad that isolation isn't a problem for you - it will help to keep you safe.
Take care. God bless.

Your cover is perfect and who would know the bling covers a mistake. That's the art of a good crafter. Ani #14

I'm really glad that you're doing ok and coping well with isolation Glenda, good for you for being so positive. I dont' know where the time is going to be honest, it's just whizzing by. I love what you made and I wouldn't have noticed an error at all so you covered it up well, lol!!

I too am used to being self isolated so I am fine. Keeping clear of too much news in case it depresses me but had a laugh this morning with my other half and his friend on a video call so that made for a nice half hour.
The album is lovely, you could consider joining in with #Cheers with that on FB as it deserves a wider audience.
Keep up the crafting and stay safe and well
Hugs, Neet 7 xx

Hi Glenda, indeed, I recall someone- may have been Martha Stewart- say' there are no mistakes in crafting, only a reason for embellishments! or something along that line.I know many is the time a card has had a flower to cover an ink smudge! Love the album cover, quite beautiful.Stay safe,Have a good week, Huge hugs, Shaz #1 X

Your book is going to be amazing! I can't wait to see it! We're doing okay at my house, too. Sunny today and had a nice long walk with the dogs, including a little street visiting at a safe distance.

Good Morning, Oh how lovely your cover is. I've always loved the lavender/purple colors I have to order a few glues, we have nothing close, but our HyVee grocery since Kmart closed. Anxious to see your inside. And I think I spotted a video I have to watch. You've been busy !
I too have no issue with being home. Making an effort to get rid of clutter. Making the rounds late, I had an eye issue and I think it was caused from TOO much computer time !!! Stay safe We truly need SUNSHINE and WARMTH. More rain forecast thru Sunday then maybe.

Your album cover is so pretty, Glenda! As they say in the mixed media world, "There are no mistakes - just more layers" lol! (Any old excuse to add a bit of bling, of course!)

I'm like you as far as the lockdown is concerned - being pretty much housebound anyway, it hasn't made too much difference to me! The one big bonus is having my hubby around all the time when usually he's out and about all over the place and half the time I've no idea where he is!!

Keep safe and well, and happy belated WOYWW,

It's looking fab Glenda, I love the extra bling on the spine so pretty from every angle, you are the crafting Queen @ creating those flowers. I'm left wondering what you are going to fill it with and really hope that you share.
Stay safe & take good care now Tracey #19 xx
