WOYWW #562

Good morning friends.  Are you like me and sheltering in place today?  Isn't it a crazy world we are living in?  Well it's Wednesday and I'm posting for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday...if you are curious about this little bit of happiness in the middle of the week just head over to Julia's blog and have a look around.  She has instructions for linking up with us on the top of her blog.  We would love to have you join us and  you can have a snoop in our lives.

You guys know me and when I get stuck or am trying to stay home, I make flowers.  I've been making roses this week...I have some new stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations and I wanted to play a bit.  I needed some Prills to use for the centers of these roses and I couldn't find a color I wanted to use so I decided to color my own.  I took some white prills and spooned them out onto a permanent ink pad, swirled them around with my finger and put in a tray to dry.  It just happened to be the same color I used for the edges of the roses.  I just love it when my colors coordinate!

Well I'm off for my second of coffee... and to try and visit with a few of you guys so try and have a good rest of the day.  Stay safe my friends.

These are strange times and all we can do is sit, craft and wait... creating flowers seems like a good idea! We're not homebound completely in Holland (we are still alowed to go outside) but social isolation, yes. And the place I work closed its doors (as do the schools, pubs, restaurants and most shops) and since I cannot do my work at home, I am unemployed now. It feels strange to have no job all of a sudden... I can't seem to get myself to being creative today. I'm glad I have my online friends to visit! Take care, stay healthy! Big virtual hug from the Netherlands! Marit #21

Good Morning, from dreary wet Iowa. But my spirits are good ! I am happy to stay home and keep working on disguarding STUFF. Even the thrift shops are closed down, so I have a car full of items. LOVING your flowers, and happy your innovation worked for coloring. I need a better glue for my project. Stay safe, I think our pets will truly be spoiled with so much time with us all.
Merry, Merry !

I am sure I'll be forced to work from home soon (plans being readied at work) -somehow think it won't be as much fun as making flowers! Stay safe and happy WOYWW Helen #3

I've renamed us SID's (social isolator/distancer) - better safe than sorry. And what an excuse for staying in and doing more crafting for the population of crafters.
You are certainly doing your bit for the crafting world with those gorgeous roses - how did you go on with the DT?
Hugs take care, Neet 1 xx

You can make flowers to your heart's content while you're home! Good idea for coloring the Prills. Rich and I are devoted to isolating ourselves as much as possible. You never know where the virus might be lurking or who might pass it on. Not paranoid, just safe.

There is crazy out there, but we’ll be OK, we have crafting and internet friends to shield us. Stay well. Xx

Lovely roses - it's so interesting to see what other people are up to, especially when so many of us are trying to stay busy at home.
I love the little white ones in the background - they look like blackberry "blossom" to me.
Stay well.

Hi Glenda. Strange and difficult times indeed. How precious to know that Father God knows the beginning from the end! He knows and measures our days. Hope amid the uncertainty.
Those roses are beautiful - you are just so skilled in your flower making! I quite imagine the colours of your fingers after you had rolled those small tips around in the ink:-)
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Hi Glenda, your flowers definitely are colour co-ordinated - very pretty. I love seeing the flowers you make, spring has come early! Thanks for your visit. I went out today, which was the first time since Monday, but I have a feeling I won't be going out much over the next few weeks. Lucky you having an acre to walk round. If the weather warms up, I will maybe sit in the summerhouse and work, but it's just a little too chilly at the moment. Stay safe, and have a lovely week Heather xx #13
