Heartfelt Creations.....

It has rolled around into another Wednesday and time for me to share another card I have made for Heartfelt Creations.

Every now and then I make a card that just makes me smile....this is one of those.  I just love how the flower turned out and don't you just love that gorgeous paper?

Heartfelt Creations Products Used:

HCPC 3468 Tattered Blossoms PreCut Set
HCD 722 Tattered Blossoms Die
HCPC 3512 Antique Lantern PreCut Set
HCPC 3510 Petite Floral Swirl PreCut Set
HCPC 3405 Leaf Medley PreCut Set
HCDP1 226 Delicate Asters Paper Collection

Other Supplies:  Spellbinders dies (Fancy Tags Three, Foliage, Classic Circles Large, Fancy Lattice) Memento ink, Ranger Distress Inks, glue, shimmer spray, Paper Blossoms Tool Kit, purple ribbon, dimensional tape, card stock, Canson watercolor paper

Instructions:  Card Size 6” X 6”

Make card base and cover with a piece of the paper collection.  Stamp the swirl image onto the card stock and set this piece aside.  Cut out all die cuts and glue the lattice behind the frame made by using two of the circle dies.  Stamp the sentiment onto the tag and set these pieces aside.  Stamp and cut out the flower petals and leaves.  Add color to the edges.  Dampen or spray with shimmer spray and shape all. Glue the flower together and let dry.  Now assemble the pieces to the card front.  You can let your imagination run wild at this point.  Tie the bow and attach to the tag.

Well that just about does it for me this morning.  You can visit the Heartfelt Creations blog and see what the other designers have created this week.  Take a moment and have a look around and be amazed by the talent on this design team!

Hearts and Flowers.......

Good morning everyone!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend and that you are well rested and ready to face a brand new week!  I'm here this morning to share a card I made for the challenge at Joan's Gardens.  Joan's challenges keep me thinking outside the box and I love to play along whenever I can!  This week Joan's challenge called for:

Make a card using pink and white
Use at least one heart
Use a pretty border

Pretty easy since everyone is thinking about Valentine's Day...so here is my card.

I had a lot of fun making this card.  I used the Timeless Amour Die and the Lace Border Die from Heartfelt Creations.  My flower is one of my handmade that I had made earlier and stored for use at a later time.  I used several different shades of pink just to keep everyone on their toes.  I think they all work pretty well together.  Can you tell I love pink?

Well that about does it for me this morning.  Have a wonderful Monday and no matter what you are doing today I hope you have a moment just for you to "Breathe".

Good Friday morning everyone!  We are forecast for freezing rain, sleet and snow today.  Brrrrr!!! Winter has arrived in East Tennessee.

This morning I'm here to share with you another card I made for Heartfelt Creations.

Heartfelt Creations Products Used:
HCPC 3494 Delicate Asters PreCut Set
HCD 726 Delicate Asters Die
HCD 729 Decorative Blossoms Corner Die
HCDP1 Countryside Evening Paper Collection
Other Supplies: Memento Ink, Ranger Distress Inks, glitter, card stock, Lili Pad dew drops, Canson watercolor paper, zip dry glue, white glue, ribbon
Instructions:  Card size 4 1/4" X 5 1/2"
Make card base using watercolor paper for stability.  Cover with a piece of paper from the collection.  Next I found a sentiment and cut it out and glued it to the side of the card.  Stamp, cut out and color flower and leaf; add glitter and set aside.  Once dry, glue the petals together to make the flower.  Next I cut out the corner die and took a look at it.  I decided I wanted to use just a portion so I cut away the pieces I didn’t want and then attached the piece to the center of my card.  Glue down the flower and leaf.  Next I colored the dew drops with a marker and glued them to my medallion.  All that is left is to tie a bow and adhere it to the card.
You can see this card at the HC blog along with all the other projects the other designers have done this week.  Go on over and have a look around; there is a lot of inspiration there!
That is it for me this morning.  I hope you have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend!  Try and stay warm!

Butterfly......

Good morning everyone!  I'm here this morning to share a card I made for the challenge at Joan's Gardens.  You can visit Joan and have a good look around.

This week Joan's challenge called for the following:

Make a tent card (One opening at the bottom)

Use Purple, Aqua and Light Green

Use something from nature

For some time now I have been seeing the crafters in other countries using Gesso to paint their flower petals and I just loved the look.  I have done several flowers using this but didn't say anything much about the fact I used Gesso on the petals.  So here is my flower.  I started out with card stock the color that is under the butterfly.  It was a deep teal.  After the Gesso this is what it looked like.  When I scrunched my petals the darker color came through and I just love this look!  Linda Duke is also doing some flowers like this and hers are absolutely beautiful! www.lindaduke.typepad.com  Just want to give credit where credit is due!  I almost forgot to say my butterfly is aqua card stock and I used glitter on it.  It doesn't show the sparkle in my picture; but trust me it is there!

Well that about does it for me this morning.  Why don't you join in Joan's challenge and make your own card.  Have a wonderful day and I hope you have time to be creative!

You are the song in my heart.......

Good morning everyone!  I hope you are warm and toasty where you are.  We had a snow event here yesterday and it was absolutely gorgeous.  It was a heavy wet snow and there were lots of people without power in the area.  We wound up with about 4-5" of snow and this old girl couldn't be happier.  Now I'm ready for Spring!

I'm here this morning to share another card I made for Heartfelt Creations

For the products used and the instructions to make this card you can visit the HC blog.  Everything is listed there.  Also have a good look around while you are there.  There is so much creativity there, I'm sure you will be inspired!

Well that's it for me this morning.  I'm off to have a look around outside and see if the heavy wet snow broke any tree limbs in my yard.  Have a wonderful day and try and stay warm!

SNOW!!!-----

Well snow has finally visited East Tennessee and some of us are very happy about that!  It started off as what was supposed to be a small event with most of the snow skipping over us and going on to dump in the mountains.  However, once the snow started, it began to thunder and lightening and the snow was heavy and ongoing for several hours.  We had been so warm and so wet, most
of us didn't think it would stick but it did.  We wound up with 4-5 inches of heavy wet snow with lots of people without power in the Knoxville Area.  My satellite was covered in snow and I had no TV service and I'm not sure the correct amounts of snow but here are a couple of pictures to share.

The first picture is from my front porch after it had been snowing about 30 minutes.  Honestly I thought this would be about it.

This photo was taken as it was getting dark.  It continued to snow a little longer before it stopped.  I can't wait until it gets light outside and I can see what is going on out there this morning.

I think we wound up with 4-5" before it was all said and done.  Once the snow stopped, it immediately began to melt.  But it was beautiful!

OK I'm out of here for a bit.  I'll be back later with a card for you!

Good morning everyone!  It's What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday and I'm here to share my space with you.  If you are curious about this, head over to Julia's blog and have a look around.  Then come join us and feel free to be curious and look around!  We have bared our souls and are showing what we are about!

This is a picture of my side desk; now you see why I seldom show it!  This is where I stack everything I've used or might want to use when I am working on a card.  This keeps my work space somewhat tidy so I don't lose stuff!

And this is my work desk.  I recently purchased a lattice die from Spellbinders and I've been playing with that.  Also been making some little yellow flowers for a card that is in the works.  The red mat on the left is what I use to shape my petals and I also glue on that mat.  Then there is just the usual jumble of "stuff" that needs to be put away.  So there you have it.

We are experiencing lots of rain here in East Tennessee; it has rained for two days and two nights and it's still pouring down outside!  I probably should give up paper crafts and start building a boat!  We even have school closings because of the rain and flooding.  West Tennessee had ice and freezing rain so we are very lucky to be just getting rain.  Well that's it for me this morning.  I'm off to visit as many desks as I can.

Have a wonderful day and I hope you are high and dry!

Clean and Simple Thank You.......

Good morning everyone!  Hope your weekend was a good one!  Today I want to share a clean and simple thank you card that I made for the challenge at Joan's Gardens.  I haven't been able to play along in Joan's challenges for some time and I've really missed being a part of that!  It's one thing or another and lots of excuses as to why I just don't take the time.  So today I decided her challenge was just what I needed.  I've been needing some thank you cards and since Joan's challenge calls for a thank you card...it is a perfect fit!

Joan's challenge called for:

A Blue and White Card
Use 4 corner dies
Make a Thank You Card
Add a flower

I think I covered all the bases.  I wanted this to be a clean and simple card so you could possibly send to either male or female.  I don't know, the flower may take it out of the running for a man.  What do you think?

Well that's it for me this morning.  Hope your day is a good one and that you have time to stop and smell the flowers along the way today!

Welcome to What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday!  If you are wondering about this,  just take a visit to Julia's Blog and have a look around.  She is the creator of this little adventure and I'm so grateful to her for it.  I love letting you have a look into my life and I also get to visit every one's blog and look at what they have going on.

I must confess I had been working on a card or two and was beginning to clean up  my mess when I thought I should take my photo then.  Not too much of a mess left, I'm afraid ... just some of my tools and a little glue and glitter left.  I had been making flowers and had quite a mess of glue and color all over the place and needed to get up some of the glitter before I had it in my eyebrows!

Well that's it for me this morning.  Hope your day is a good one and that you take a moment out of your busy day and "Breathe"!

Thank You.....

I always need thank you notes to send to people who do a kindness for me.  I do, however have trouble making them that go through the mail without extra charges.  That is something I really need to work on.  I've noticed at the post office, even if you take a regular size envelope, if it is a little fat...they have this page that has slots on it and they try your envelope through the slots so they can add on extra charges.  I just can't seem to make it through the small slot!  My flowers are just too dang big!

So here is my card.  I used some Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies and paper to do this card.  The sentiment is from another company and I am sorry, but I don't remember where it came from.  I used to tear off packaging and just use my stamps not worrying where they came from...bad, bad habit!

Well this does it for me today.  It's Monday again and like it or not, we must face the day!  Hope your day is a good one and that you take a moment and just "Breathe"!

WOYWW #187

Good morning everyone and welcome to WOYWW!  I'm starting 2013 with a clean slate and I'm trying to do some organizing in my craft room to  make my space a little more user friendly.  I found an old cd case and decided it would make a wonderful storage for my Pro Markers.  I don't do very well with markers but have several and you can't use them if they are not where you can get to them.  I just slid cd cases into the slots and divided my markers somewhat in the color ranges.  I'm working on the long cd storage unit and it will also hold some markers that are just thrown into a bin and some new Spectrum Noir markers that I'm treating myself to as a belated Christmas Gift.  I had some already and purchased some on EBay at a greatly reduced price but still brand new.  I will probably take out the cardboard dividers and just use empty cd cases to separate that unit too.

Most of you who follow me know what WOYWW is but if you just can't figure out what the heck this stands for it is "What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday.  Julia Dunnit is the creator of this madness and you can visit her blog here:  Stamping Ground

We all take a picture of our desk and post it to our blogs and then go to Julia's blog and link it.  Then we can visit each other's desks and see what is going on in our own little worlds.  Now I'm off to visit as many desks as I can.  I seldom get around to everyone's desk but I do try.  Have a wonderful day!
