This week Joan's challenge called for the following:
Make a tent card (One opening at the bottom)
Use Purple, Aqua and Light Green
Use something from nature
For some time now I have been seeing the crafters in other countries using Gesso to paint their flower petals and I just loved the look. I have done several flowers using this but didn't say anything much about the fact I used Gesso on the petals. So here is my flower. I started out with card stock the color that is under the butterfly. It was a deep teal. After the Gesso this is what it looked like. When I scrunched my petals the darker color came through and I just love this look! Linda Duke is also doing some flowers like this and hers are absolutely beautiful! www.lindaduke.typepad.com Just want to give credit where credit is due! I almost forgot to say my butterfly is aqua card stock and I used glitter on it. It doesn't show the sparkle in my picture; but trust me it is there!
Well that about does it for me this morning. Why don't you join in Joan's challenge and make your own card. Have a wonderful day and I hope you have time to be creative!

Your flower is incredible. Gorgeous die cut, too. Thinking I'll have to get a butterfly die soon. It looks so pretty on your card.
