Debuting the Slim Decorative Rectangle Dies from Heartfelt Creations...

Good morning everyone and welcome!  I'm here this morning sharing a card I have made for Heartfelt Creations to debut the Slim Decorative Rectangle Dies.   You can find my card in the Heartfelt Creations Gallery with a listing of the products used and the instructions.

My card is a slimline easel card with a finished size of 4" X 8 1/2".  Cut a piece of cardstock 8" X 8 1/2" and score at 2" and 4".  Using the shadow piece for the Slim Elegant Rectangle Die cut a piece of white card stock and then using same die piece cut a piece of Sheet #3A of the paper collection and glue together.  Now glue this piece to the 2" section.  It will lie flat when folded and can also stand up on it's own.  Cover the inside of the card with another piece of Sheet #3A and then set aside.

Cut the decorative outer section of the die using white cardstock and glue down onto the shadow piece.  This makes an elegant frame for the flowers we are going to make.

Cut one of the center pieces to sit on the inside of the card that will hold a smaller piece with the sentiment.  I cut it out of white cardstock and covered it with a piece of Sheet #6A then edged it with Rosebud ink.  Adhere to the card using dimensional tape.  Cut a smaller die cut to hold the sentiment out of white cardstock.  Edge this piece with Rosebud and then stamp the sentiment with Rosebud.  Glue to the larger piece.

Now let's work on the flowers.  Stamp the flowers using Sap Green and then color with Sap Green in the center and Rosebud on the rest.  Cut out with coordinating die.  Stamp the leaves with leaf green and color with leaf green and then cut out with coordinating die.  Edge in Leaf Green and Olive inks to highlight the leaves.  Place leaves and flower petals on the mold and spritz with water then run through the die cut machine.  Turn out to dry.

Once dry poke a hole in the center of the flowers and add the stamen.  Attach with hot glue and also I used some hot glue to help with the shaping of the flowers.  Decide on the placement of the flowers and leaves and glue down.  When dry the card is ready to go.

Yellow Lilies ...Inspiration Wednesday with Heartfelt Creations...

Good morning my friends and welcome.  I'm here this morning sharing another card made using the new Garden Lily Collection from Heartfelt Creations.  I think these flowers are just a beautiful addition to any project and we will soon be thinking about Spring and Easter and these flowers would be wonderful gracing the front of a Spring card.  You can find my card in the Heartfelt Creations Gallery

My finished card size is 4" X 8".  Make card base out of white cardstock and cut the front panel at 2".  Cut a white piece of cardstock 2" X 8" and emboss it with the embossing folder.  Cut the decorative die out of white cardstock and glue to the edge of the 2" front.  Glue the embossed strip onto the card front.

I used a piece of Sheet 3A to cover the inside panel of the card.  This will show behind the decorative front of the card.

Stamp the leaves in Sap Green and color with Sap Green and Goldenrod.  Cut out with coordinating die.  Lay onto the shaping mold, spritz with water and run through the die cut machine.  Turn out onto the desk to dry.  Once dry use the Golf Tool to poke a hole in the center of the petals and feed through the stamen using hot glue to adhere to the petal.  I also used the hot glue to add some more shaping to the petals. Allow to dry.

Stamp the leaves in leaf green and color with same then cut out with coordinating die.  Edge with Olive ink and lay onto the shaping mold.  Spritz with water and run through the die cut machine. Allow to dry.

Decide on placement of the flowers and leaves and hot glue down.  The card is finished.

Debuting the Garden Lily Collection from Heartfelt Creations...

Welcome everyone on this lovely Wednesday morning!  I'm here this morning to share another beautiful collection just releasing today!  Heartfelt Creations has done it again with these beautiful flowers and it is an honor to share my lilies with you!  You can find my card in the Heartfelt Creations Gallery with a list of all the products used to make it.

My finished card size is 5" X 7".  I made the card base using the Deluxe Flower Shaping paper because it is a perfect weight for your cards.  It can carry most anything you put on the front without giving with the weight.  Make card base and use the Filigree Accents Die to cut a decorative border on the card front.  Cut a piece of Luxe Gold Cardstock and cut out the Filigree Accents on this then glue behind the white decorative border.  I staggered the two pieces to just let the gold show through a bit behind the front border.  Cut a piece of Sheet 3A of the paper collection to fit on the inside of the card and a piece to fit the front beside the decorative border.  Glue these pieces down and while the glue is drying we will begin on the flowers.

Stamp the flower petals in Sap Green and color just the center with Sap Green as well. Layer some Goldenrod to the middle of the petals and then finish off with Morocco on the ends. Stamp the leaves with Leaf Green and color with same then cut everything out with the coordinating dies.  I then used Rhubarb Stock to edge the flower petals and add some depth and dimension to the flower.  The buds were stamped with Leaf Green and then colored with Vivid Chartruese. Cut out with coordinating die.   Lay the leaves and flower petals onto the mold, spritz with water and run through the die cut machine.  Turn out on the desk to dry.  Use the Golf tools to poke a hole in the center of the flowers and add the stamen.  I used hot glue to adhere the stamen in place as well as adding some additional shape to the flowers.  Lay out to dry.  Once everything is dry, decide on placement and hot glue down.

Using a Hydra Sponge and Dries Clear Glue add some Crystal Clear Glitter to the flowers and allow to dry.  The card is now ready to go.

Cardinals in the Snow...

Hello friends and welcome.  I'm doing something a bit unusual for me and that is posting something other than my regular Heartfelt Creations Design Team Wednesday post.  I have been stalking the  "Can you Handle the Pressure" blog for a bit and today I decided it's time for me to participate!  I don't have that many embossing folders but I love using them and today when I looked I had a folder that is perfect for this challenge.  The heading reads "Anything Goes Embossing with a Twist of Snow".  Not only does my embossing folder look like snow but the cardinals are sitting on snowy limbs.  Perfect!

The image is from a retired collection called Festive Holly from Heartfelt Creations.  I have just a tiny bit left as I loved the cardinals in the snow images!  Every time I cut into what is left of the paper, my heart hurts!  The sentiment is from a set of stamps called "Special Birthday Sentiments". (Also Heartfelt Creations)   It is a well loved set and I use it a bunch! The stitched circles are a new gift to myself...I purchased it off Amazon and I love it.  I see myself using it a lot in the future!

Well that is it for me today.  I hope you enjoy my card as much as I have enjoyed making it.   Go check out the Can You Handle The Pressure Blog You may decide you want to play along!
