HCDP1 236 Christmas Card  Paper Collection
HCPC 3415  Petite Poinsettia PreCut Set

#352854 Metal Glue tip Art Institute

Other supplies:  Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia, 2010 Heirloom Ornament, Std. Ovals Small, and Venetian Motifs, Ranger Distress Ink, Memento Ink, green and red pencils, burgundy card stock, Canson watercolor paper, glue, dimensional tape, chunky glitter, white glitter, flower stamen, yellow marker

Instructions:

I went to Splitcoast Stampers and found the dimensions and instructions for making this tri fold card and made my card.  Once I had all the cuts and folds done I used distress ink to go around all the edges of the card to give it dimension.  I stamped the sentiment onto watercolor paper and cut out with an oval die.  While it was still in the die, I used distress ink to shade this piece as well.  Then I colored in the leaves and berries using the red and green pencils.  Next I cut out two of the motifs and glued them to the top and bottom of the oval.  The next thing I did was pick a piece of the pretty paper and cut pieces to fit on all the areas of the card.  I went around each piece with distress ink to give it an aged look. Now we are ready to adhere the oval piece with the sentiment to the front of the card.   I used some dimensional tape to adhere it down.   I stamped another sentiment and a pine cone cluster and then cut out some of the sentiments from the pretty papers and glued them into place.  Next I stamped and cut out my poinsettia and then colored it with the Viva 3D Stamp Paint in Carmine Red Metallic.  I shaped the leaves with the Paper Blossoms Tool Kit and glued them together to form my flower.  Next I used a yellow marker to color some white stamen and glued three of these to the center of the flower.  Now we are ready to make our glittery hanging ornament.  I cut out a ornament using two of the dies to give the piece an opening in the middle.  I punched a hole in the top of the ornament and inserted a piece of gold string through and tied it off.  Next I applied glue to the front and back of the ornament and added chunky glitter.  Once this is dry you can tape the string to the back of the card so the ornament hangs down into an opening.  On the back panel of the card I used the glue and some fine glitter to just give it a sparkly look.  It doesn’t show very well in the picture, but the glitter gives it a really pretty look.

Now you need to head over to the HC blog and have a good look around.  All the ladies have working so hard to show you many beautiful projects using these stamps, dies and papers.  I just know you will not be disappointed.

Well that is it for me this morning.  I hope you have a great day and that you get to do something you love!

Good morning everyone and happy Wednesday!

Yes, it's that time of week once again when we all get together and post a picture of our work space.  Julia's blog has all the details of this madness and I call it that with love in my heart!  But it's still madness just the same!

This week I've been working on a Tea Box as a Christmas Gift.  I had just sort of cleaned up a little and remembered I needed to take a picture to post this morning!  I'm getting ready to make a top for the box and I will also need to hot glue down the box to the bottom.  I of course will make some flowers as decorations and that will come next.  Can you see the little metal thingy close to my scissors?  That is my trusty measuring tape.  I've had it for years and years and use it daily!  It is just a perfect size for crafting!

Well that's it for me this morning.  I'm trying to keep this short and sweet so no one will be upset with me!  Have a great day and I'm off to snoop around!

Have a Wonderful Christmas.......

Good Monday morning everyone!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend and that you are ready to face the day.  It was a nice and quiet weekend here and I am up and having my cup of coffee and thinking about starting the day!

I'm here this morning to share the last card I made for Heartfelt Creations last week.  I just love the shade of blue ink I found to use with this sentiment.  If you would like to see a list of products used for this card and read the instructions for making this card, just head over to the HC blog and have a look around.  It is all posted there as well as all the other projects the other design team members have made.

Well that's it for me this morning.  I'm off to get my second cup of coffee.  So remember....no matter where you wind up today, or what you are doing find a small moment just for you and "Breathe"!

Friday Morning......

Good Friday Morning and I hope you are doing well!  Where has this week gone?  It just seems like I turned around once and the whole week just slid past me.  I'm here this morning to share another card I have made for Heartfelt Creations!  I'm enjoying playing with the Chritmas Card Collection and getting a head start on some of my cards that I will need to send out during the holidays.

Merry Christmas Card

Heartfelt Creations Products Used:
HCPC 3556 Christmas Song PreCut Set
HCPC 3553 Peaceful Night PreCut Set
HCDP1 236 Christmas Card Collection

Other Supplies:  Canson watercolor paper, cream card stock, dark green card stock, Memento ink, Prisma Color Pencils, Crayola pencils, mineral spirits, pink ribbon, Ranger Distress Inks, Dimensional Tape,  Scor-Tape, white Color Box Ink

Instructions:  Card Size 4 1/4” X 5 1/2"
Make card base out of watercolor paper for strength and stability.  Cover with a piece of the pretty paper that has been edged with distress inks.   Stamp an image using the white ink onto the paper as a background.  Stamp the Merry Christmas image and bird onto cream colored card stock and color with the pencils and mineral spirits.  Cut out the bird and use dimensional tape to attach to the front of the image.  Mat the image piece onto a piece of the dark green cardstock and tape the pink ribbon to the edges of the matted piece.  Tape this piece to the card front and the card is ready to go.  This card is relatively flat and would be easy to mail.

So there you have it for me this morning.  I'm off to get my second cup of coffee and see if I can focus this morning.

WOYWW #220

Good Wednesday morning everyone!  And Happy WOYWW!  If you are wondering what this is, it stands for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday.  You can check it out at Julia's blog
She is the creator of this madness.  We just all take a picture of our work space and link it to Julia's blog and then we can all visit.  I have been having trouble getting back in step with this, but always love to be a part of this and love visiting everyone!

I snapped this photo yesterday afternoon after I had been working on a card.  I cannot show the card as it is for the design team I'm on and it will be posted at a later date.

Well I'm keeping this short and sweet and I'm off to visit some other bloggers this morning.  Have a great day!

A Holiday Tag.....

Good morning everyone!  I hope you are up and ready to go this morning.  I'm here to share with you a holiday tag I have made.  I love having tags on hand to slip down inside a gift bag or to just give on their own as a keepsake or just a reminder that I have been thinking about you.  I always make the larger tags and they can take as much time to make as one of my cards so they are each a work of love and a little piece of me!

I don't always use the traditional tag and love using some of the beautiful Spellbinders dies and I love working with the watercolor paper as well.  The paper just adds more strength and stability and usually will handle anything I decide to put on the front.  Today I have used the Decorative Labels Eight and I cut a Labels Eight and ran it through a swiss dots embossing folder and then cut out the poinsettia and colored it with distress inks.  The sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3428 Script Christmas Tree PreCut Set.  It was actually pretty quick and easy and I love the soft look!

OK, that is it for me this morning.  Have a great day and I hope you find a small amount of time just for you and "Breathe"!

Snowman Card

Somehow another week has gone screeching through my life and the weekend is just around the corner!  Is it just me getting old or is time really flying?  Here in East Tennessee we are beginning to see signs that Fall is just around the corner.  The days are getting shorter, temps are cooling, the mornings are foggy and before you know it there will be frost on the pumpkin!  With all that in mind, Christmas is just around the corner and Heartfelt Creations has released some wonderful Christmas stamps, papers and dies.

This morning I'm here to share another card I made using these wonderful products!

Heartfelt Creations Products Used:

HCPC 3551 Holly Berry PreCut Set
HCD 738 Ornamental Add On Die
HCPC 3415 Petite Poinsettia PreCut Set
HCDP1 236 Christmas Card Paper Collection
Art Glitter Dries Clear Glue
459222 Paper Blossoms Tool Kit
Viva 3D Stamp Paint (Carmine Red Metallic and Moss Green Metallic)

Other Supplies:  Spellbinders Dies (Layered Poinsettia, Standard Circle Large, Standard Circle Small, A2-Scalloped Borders One)
Glue, Scor-Tape, Memento Ink, glitter, yellow marker, stamen, white and blue card stock, Canson watercolor paper

Instructions:  Card Size: 6” X 6”
Make card base using watercolor paper for strength and stability.  Cover card base with a pretty piece of the paper collection.  Cut out two pieces of the A2-Scalloped Borders one and tape them together, sort of making a scalloped border for the center of the card.  I cut out the snowman using a circle die and then matted it with a dark blue piece of cardstock and then taped it to the center of the scalloped piece on the center of the card.  I used the art glitter glue and some white glitter to add some interest to the snowman circle piece.  Next I stamped and cut out the flowers and leaves and applied the 3D Stamp paint and set them aside to dry.  I cut the end pieces of the stamen and colored them with the yellow marker; glue them to the center of the flowers after you have glued the petals together.  Next I chose a sentiment and cut it out and applied some dimensional tape behind it to pop it up.  Decide where you want the flowers and leaves to be placed and then glue them down.  Such an easy card and really simple to do using the papers from the collection!

You can also visit the HC blog to see many more wonderful examples using this collection!

Well that is it for me this morning.  I hope your day is filled with Joy and that you get to do something you love!

Another Birthday Card.........

Good Monday morning everyone! Hope your weekend was a really good one and that you are ready to begin the new week!

I'm here this morning to share another birthday card that I needed for upcoming birthday.  It seems like I can't get caught up...let alone ahead of the game.  I would love to have a few for men and a few for women set aside ready to go in a pinch.  Oh well, I will keep trying.

I just love this paper that I had stashed away.  It came with the unicycle (Is that the name of this ?) on it and I had a set of bicycle stamps that had never been opened and so I stamped one of the bicycle stamps in the spokes of the bigger wheel.  Then I just stamped the sentiment, cut out with the circle die and inked the edges with distress inks.  Pretty easy and it will make a teen boy pretty happy!

Hope your day is a good one and that you have time to do something you love.  I'm hoping to have time to play a little later in the day!

Welcome to Heartfelt Creations Wednesday!

We have made it to Wednesday once again and I'm here to share another creation I have made for Heartfelt Creations!  The first picture is the card opened up.....

and the next picture is the card all folded up and tied with the ribbon.

 Heartfelt Creations Products Used:
HCDP1 235 Burst of Splendor Paper Collection
HCPC 3524 Butterfly and Bunny PreCut Set
Scor-Pal #368770
Other Supplies:  Canson watercolor paper, Ranger distress ink, Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles, seam binding, Memento Ink, glue, Scor-Tape
 Instructions:  Card Size: 4 1/4" X 5 1/2"
Cut two pieces of watercolor paper 4 1/4” X 5 1/2”  and edge with distress ink.   Cover both sizes of each with some of the paper from the collection.  Set aside.  Next I cut a piece of watercolor paper 4 3/4" X 12” and used my Scor-Pal to score every 3”.  Now select some more of the papers and cover one side of this 12” piece.  I also used distress ink around all the edges.  For the two center panels I cut out ovals using more coordinating paper and on one of them I stamped the sentiment.  When my glue had dried on these panels I attached it to the two 4 1/4” X 5 1/2” pieces and as I was taping it down, I added two pieces of seam binding that I had used distress ink to color.  I love this style of card, as it can be set up for display or folded and tied up to store or mail.

Now you need to jump over to the HC Blog and talk a little tour through...there is a lot of beauty on display there this week and it is so inspiring!

That's it for me this morning!  I hope your day is a good one and that you take just a moment and Breathe!

Cardabilities Challenge .....

Good morning everyone!  I have been trying to step out of my comfort zone a little lately and do some different looking cards and I am going to try  a challenge blog as well!  I have a friend that loves Cardabilities and I have been watching their blog for a couple of weeks and have decided I want to try this for sure!

Since I have been doing birthday cards for my stash I decided I would make one and use the sketch for this week at Cardabilities.

And here is my take on this sketch!

OK, that does it for me this morning.  Hope you have a wonderful day and that you find a little time just for you and "Breathe"!

Come back tomorrow....it is Wednesday and will be time for me to share another Heartfelt Creations project!  See you then!

Happy Birthday.....

It seems like I never have enough birthday cards and so I am trying to add to my box so I can get ahead.  As it turns out this one is needed and will be going in the mail tomorrow.  Oh well I will keep trying.

I'm getting really lazy because I'm using all these pretty papers and just letting them do most of the work for me.  I covered my base card with this paper, cut out a butterfly and glued it down and then just stamped my sentiment.  Easy as pie!

I hope your Monday is a good one and that you get to do something you love!  I'm hoping to spend some quality time here in my craft room....you guessed it...more birthday cards!

Dahlia Dutch Fold Card.....

Although, I'm sure this fold has been around for quite awhile, it is the first time I have attempted to make a card using it.  I love all the fancy folds and will be trying some of them in the future.  Nothing too over the top, but quite a difference for me.

This morning I'm here to share with you a Dutch Fold card I made using Heartfelt Creations products.

And below is the inside of the card.  I let the beautiful papers do most of the work on this card.

Heartfelt Creations Products Used:
HCPC 3549 Blooming Dahlia PreCut Set
HCDP1 235 Burst of Splendor Paper Collection
HCPC 3383 Cardinal Posy Branch PreCut Set
HCD 728 Timeless Amour Die

Other Supplies:  Memento ink, cream colored card stock, white detail embossing powder, Scor-Tape, glue,

Instructions:  I went online to Splitcoast Stampers and found instructions for the Dutch fold and used that to make my card base.  Next I measured and cut out pieces of the pretty papers to cover the card inside and out.  Next I stamped and embossed the image onto a piece of the paper and cut out so that parts of it would slip out over my Timeless Amour die.  Cut out the heart and glue the embossed piece behind it and attach to the front of the card.  Next I stamped my sentiment onto the inside panel and this lovely card is ready to go.  It will mail very easily and I love that about this type of card!
