All The Best......
Good morning everyone! Are you ready to get the week started? I'm getting off to a slow start, but that's OK...I'm an Old Broad and we are allowed!
This morning I want to share with you a card I made that would be very suitable for a wedding card or an anniversary card. I love this type of card (white on white) but it can be difficult to photograph for me. It always has shadows and I can't seem to get that part right, so bear with me. I will list all supplies used below and my card size is 4 1/4" X 5 1/2". I love using the Canson Watercolor paper as it isn't a stark white and it embosses very well and it is very sturdy. Everything on this card, except the flowers is made using the watercolor paper. I tinted the edges of the flower and the leaves with some ink to add just a pale touch of color.
Well this about does it for me....today I will be chopping weeds out of the garden. It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it. Someone always means......me! I don't mind really as I love being outdoors in the sunshine and fresh air. It's a good thing!
Supply list:
Canson watercolor paper
Cuttlebug Embossing folder (Textile Texture)
Spellbinders dies
Memento ink
SU ink
Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers
Poppystamps die - Meadow Leaf

Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge #16
This afternoon I'm here to share another card I have made to enter in the challenge over at Joan's Gardens Joan's requirements this week were the following:
Use some type of scallops or lattice
Use yellow or gold colors
Use a patterned paper background
I think I did everything I was supposed to do on this one. I started with a little Tea Cup Fairy image from Mo Manning and colored the image with Ranger Distress Inks. I used a whole bunch of dies from Spellbinders and I will list them below. I also used The Vivienne Butterfly from Memory Box Dies. I cut down the butterfly so it wouldn't overpower my image. A little yellow seam binding colored with the distress ink and little glitter here and there and it is all set!
I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it! It is such a fun image and I got play with my new dies from Spellbinders. We all need a little Joy in our lives .....this is my joy!
That is about it for me this afternoon....I hope you have a great weekend planned. I also wish you joy in whatever you do!!
Supplies Used:
Spellbinders Dies: Antique Frames and Accents, Edgeabilities Mix and Match Frames (Classic Edges Two) Mix and Match Classic Inserts (Classic Decorative Inserts Four, Floral Ovals, Classic Ovals Large
Pattern paper from Prima (Fairy Belle Collection) Ranger Distress Inks, Memory Box Dies, Mo Manning Image, yellow card stock and Canson watercolor paper for the card base

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday....My Final Post
Good morning everyone. This morning I have a hole in my heart. This will be my final post for Heartfelt Creations as I have stepped down from the design team. For now, I know in my heart this is the best thing. I feel that time constraints on this end have really compromised my ability to give 100% and so I must step back and breathe for awhile. I want to thank the wonderful ladies at Heartfelt Creations from the bottom of my heart! They have been so generous and caring and they made me feel like family. I want to congratulate all the ladies who are continuing forward for another term on the team. For the new people coming on board, all I can say is...you are going to love this adventure!
As for me, I'll still be around. I will try and continue to post on a regular basis and I'm trying to look forward to this new turn in my journey. I will still be here creating when I have a minute to sit down. There is still so very much I want to do.
Ok now you have seen my card...and here is my tag.
Be sure and go to the Heartfelt Creations blog and you can get all the products I used as well as the instructions for both of my creations. While you are there, take a moment and look around. You will truly be inspired....I promise.
Well that's about it for me this morning. I hope you have a good week, and as always take a moment just for you, and Breathe!
Congratulations to the New Design Team for Heartfelt Creations!
What's on Your Workdesk , Wednesday #151
Good morning everyone and welcome to WOYWW! In case you have somehow missed what this is all about; each Wednesday we take a picture of our workdesk and then link it to Miss Julia Dunnit's blog
Then everyone can come visit your space and see what you have going on. I can't tell you how addicted I am to this Wednesday activity! I love to visit as many desks as I can and see what everyone is doing. There are desks from all over the world and a wide variety of crafts going on.
This week my desk is not very bad. I'm just doing a little coloring of a Mo Manning image and getting ready to do a card. I have some inks out and a couple of die cuts lying about just in case. No much going on I'm afraid. I've been quite busy with extra chores and of course Spring has sprung and there are lots of outside chores going on as well. So come join us in this madness and become one of us. Just snap a picture, post it to your blog, and then link your blog post to Julia's blog. Easy Peasy!
Well I'm off to visit and see what is going on at every one's desk. Have a wonderful day and we will talk soon!

To Everything There is a Season...
Joan's Gardens will be having a Blog Hop in May and will choose 6 Guest Designers to participate in the hop. This week Joan asks that we do the following for our card or project:
Make a card or project which includes flowers using dies or punches
Make your card/project the prettiest you can make
I used the Spellbinders Grand Peony Creations dies to make my flowers. I love the lacy look on the petals this set of dies creates. I cut the petals out of white card stock and then used Rangers Tattered Rose Distress Ink to color the edges of the petals. I sprayed them with water and began to shape them. I usually just curl them in and out, up and down. In nature each flower is different. They curl so many different ways and each one is perfect just the way it is. I always try to envision the flower in my head so I sort of know how I want to curl the petals. And like nature, none of mine are the same. I just use inexpensive card stock and it does the rest. Once the petals are dry I glue them together and alternate the petals as I go. Then I used some glue around on the petals and glitter to give them a little sparkle. Sort of like fresh dew. Of course you can't re-create dew, but that is what I was going for.
The butterfly is the Vivienne Butterfly from Memory Box. I cut some of it off to make it smaller so it would fit on my card. The leaves are Marianne dies, I just can't remember the name. I've had them for awhile now and failed to write the name down for future reference. The medallion in the center of the card is made using a corner die from Marianne Creatables. I cut two and then an oval and glued them together to make the winged medallion. I stamped the sentiment onto the oval. The sentiment is a Flourishes Life Line stamp. I love these little sentiments as they fit in some small spaces.
Well I know this has been long and drawn out but I wanted to give you some of the details on this. If you would like to be considered in Joan's Blog Hop just make your card or project and then go to Joan's site and link your card. You might just be one of the lucky 6 people to be chosen.

Did I tell you...I Love Tags!
Just a quick post this morning. I hope you all are doing well. Everything is good here, just lots of extra chores going on. I want to share with you a tag I made using some pretty paper I purchased while on an outing with my sister, The Enabler. I love the soft blue color and I wanted to continue on with that theme. Of course there are some Spellbinders used, some lace, a pretty flower and a sentiment from Flourishes, I'm sorry I don't remember the name of the set. The pretty die cut holding the sentiment is a Marianne Creatables purchased from Joan's Gardens . Joan has some awesome dies to choose from so you should go check out her store!
Well that is about all I have this morning. Have a wonderful day and remember to "Breathe"!

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday.....
Good morning everyone. I'm here this morning to share another Heartfelt Creations card with you! I am having so much fun with this month's release (Western Elements Collection). There are so many things you can do with them. I know this is not a manly card; and it's not really a western theme, but you can see that you can do other things with these stamps! They are so versatile. For the instructions and the products used to make my card, go over to the Heartfelt Creations blog. Everything is listed there and while you are there you can see what the other design team members have made this week. You can get so much inspiration from them!
Well, that about does it for me today. I'm off to visit the other design team members blogs and say hello to them! You can visit the individual blogs by clicking on the design team members names on the side bar of my blog. If you visit them, be sure a leave a comment. Flower Pot Card
Good morning all...I trust you had a good weekend. Ours was a quiet one and I was able to work on this flower pot card for the challenge over at Joan's Gardens
Here are the requirements for the challenge this week.
Make or use a flower pot
Make flowers for flower pot
Use some trailing greenery
Use any color combination
I found the instructions for my card on Splitcoast Stampers and it was really quite easy to follow along and make my own. I just used some punches for the flowers and a die for the butterfly and the greenery. It was lots of fun to make and decorate. Not too bad for a first effort; and they gave instructions for the tag as well. So why don't you create one yourself and enter the fun challenge and you just might come out a winner. I love Joan's challenges as they always make me think outside the box and try new things. Nothing like jumping in with both feet!
Well that is it for me this morning! Have a good day and remember to breathe!

My Little Mermaid........
Good morning everyone! It's Friday and I'm so very glad! It has been a very busy week for me! This morning I want to share a little Magnolia image that I colored with distress inks. I think she is just too cute! For this card I actually cut up a box and peeled off the top layer of paper so I could get to this cool waffle look board! I then painted it and then added some cheese cloth under the image. On the base card I stamped some pretty swirls and then used some embossing powder on it to give it more detail. I didn't seem to have any pretty paper to go along with this so I did it this way. Then I added some Dew Drops for bubbles and a pretty flower to the corner and she is out the door!
I hope you enjoy this card as much as I have enjoyed doing it! This one will probably just go into my stash of cards until I need her. Thank you so much for dropping by. If you like my card, leave me a comment. I always love reading what you have to say. Well I am off to get my day started; lots of chores to do again today. I hope you have a good day and as always, remember to "Breathe"!

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday? #149
Good morning everyone and welcome to WOYWW #149! Now if you don't have a clue what this is all about just go on over to Julia's blog and have a look around. What happens is on Wednesday everyone takes a picture of their workdesk and then links in on Julia's blog and then we can all visit each other and see what is going on. You can visit desks from all over the world and it is very addictive! I have to say, I took my picture yesterday and it looks like I had a glare coming in through the window. I'm sorry for that but this week, this will just have to do. I've been doing some coloring and some die cutting and I made a Tri-Shutter card you can see in the background. My desk is not too messy just a little disorganized which is my middle name these days. I can't seem to get down to some serious crafting and I'm going into dt's over it!
Well I hope you have a wonderful day; as for me, I'm off to visit a few blogs and then get to moving....I have about a gazilliontrillion (Is that a word?) chores to do today. Come join us if you can...it's loads of fun!

Tri-Shutter Card
Good morning everyone. I'm running behind this morning as my life has just run over the top of me! I'm so far behind I think I'm in front! I just keep working and getting farther and farther behind. I think I'm gonna have to run up a white flag! But better late than never I think!
My card this morning is a Tri-Shutter card that I want to enter in the challenge over at Joan's Gardens. I love her challenges and play whenever I can. I love these cards and this is only the second one I have ever made so please be gentle about it! As suggested I checked out the resource area over on SplitCoast Stampers and found the instructions...there is also a video for the challenged person like me!
Anyway Joan's instructions were to include the following:
Make a Tri-Shutter Card
Used more than one design paper
Use something dimensional
Use ribbon or lace
I did all of the above and this is what I came up with. I used all kinds of dies to adorn the three different papers. I even glittered my butterfly. I hope you can see him OK. I actually forgot about the ribbon or lace and at the last minute I had to find a place for a little piece of lace.
I had a really great time doing this card and I may just be trying another one or two in the near future!
Well that is it for me this morning. I gotta run and get started on my chores. I'm planting cabbage and potato's in the garden this morning. I Must remember to Breathe!!

Clean and Simple...
Good morning everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Holiday and that you are all well and happy. We had a very quiet day here as the kids were busy elsewhere and it was just my husband and I for the day. We had some much needed rest and we are now ready to face another week of work and hopefully a little play.
This morning I want to share another clean and simple card I have made using very few adornments. I mostly just wanted the image to have the spotlight on this card. So there is no fancy paper, but I did use a little ribbon and a few purchased flowers. I colored this little darling with Ranger Distress ink and then matted her onto some blue scraps of card stock from my stash. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I cut a Marianne corner die and used ink to add a little color to it. And that is it!
I hope you have a wonderful day planned. We are quite cool here this morning ... in the 30's again. The next couple of days are supposed to be this way with a chance of frost on a couple of nights. This is a normal thing for East Tennessee, and so mostly everyone waits until later in the month to put in their gardens, as early crops sometimes get bitten around here.
Well this is about it for me this morning. I hope you have a good day and that life is good to you! And as always, remember to "Breathe"!

My One and Only Easter Card.....
A couple of days ago I saw this image on a card made and posted here: Running With Scissors
Leslie made the most adorable card using this image from Squigglefly and I knew I just had to have this little image. This is the only Easter card I have made this year. I've been super busy with Spring clean-up and life in general that I've barely had time to sit at my desk; let alone create anything. It's kind of simple really, no die cuts or hand made flowers just a lonely piece of ribbon down the side. I colored the image with my Pro markers. I think these little guys are just too cute hidden down inside the basket!
I know this is short and sweet but I want to visit some of my blogging buddies before I get to moving. Thanks for visiting this morning and as always, remember to "Breathe"!

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday
Good morning everyone. It's Wednesday and I'm here to share another card I made for Heartfelt Creations . I just love this barn and silo with the windmill in the background! Perfect for a guy card. For the products used and the instructions for my card, just go to the Heartfelt Creations blog.
While you are there have a look around at all the things the design team has created this week. You will truly be inspired. You can also visit each individual blog by clicking on their names on my sidebar.
Also, if you haven't voted for the new design team, you can do that too while you are there. There is a place to vote for the semifinalists as well as a place to vote for the current design team members who wish to continue. Your vote is very important to us all so take care of that little detail while you are visiting the blog.
Well this about does it for me this morning. It's been raining here again so there won't be much outside work going on for a day or so. I have so many things to finish in my Spring clean-up that my head is spinning! Have a wonderful Wednesday and remember to "Breathe"!

Another Decorated Egg...
Good morning everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! As for me I have one word.....Taxes! Nuff said? I thought so!
This morning I want to share with you my latest decorated egg that will be going in the basket for my Husband for Easter. It is a chicken egg that was blown, washed and dried. Now before you get all crazy, this beauty is an extra large egg, but I also zoomed in on it with the camera so you could see it better. No injured chickens here! I painted this one green and then used some pretty binding around the middle. Next I punched some vellum sprigs and then I colored some flowers that were in my stash. Of course everything was sprayed with shimmer sprays just as a final dressing. The stems I cut off the bottom of the flowers were then curled round a paint brush and everything was hot glued to the egg. Maybe next year I will have to time to do some more; maybe a little ornate. Flowers are nice and Springy looking but I will need to do different things each year to add to the mix.
Well that is it for me this morning. What are you doing today? I hope you have time for some creative fun...and as always.....remember to "Breathe"!!
