No Crafting Going on Here.......

I have been totally out of the loop the last few days, with all the things going on in my little corner of the world.  With the devastating storms racing through the Tennessee Valley on their way to cause so much destruction in our area as well as Kentucky and Indiana it just started me into  a tailspin as far as creativity goes.  I have lived here all my life and this was the first time I was actually uneasy with the weather.  I'm sure everyone has seen the news and read the newspaper headlines and I don't have to fill you in on what was going on all around us.  Our little community was spared the devastation and I realize we were right in it's path but for some reason the storms went on either side of us and we were spared.

Since I lost my MoJo again I decided to work on my old computer that I received back from the repairman.  I was told the problem was absolutely too many pictures and that I should get rid of them.  So I unhooked the new computer and put up the old one and spent the day yesterday pulling off old pictures and loading them into an external drive.  Now I never said I was was a computer person but when I got to looking around, there were 3 and 4 copies of some of the photos and for the life of me I have no idea how this happened.  I must have been asleep as I offloaded from my camera or something.  So I worked diligently most of the day and this computer is working like a charm again.  I'm going to continue to run this old one and when it dies, I will have a brand new one just waiting for me to set up and go!

So today I shall get back into playing a little.  I feel inspired again and am ready to get on with it.  As my computer sits quietly humming along, I feel like I have found an old friend.  But I will be more diligent about how many pictures I store here.  Say it three times:  I will back-up every week!  Say it three times and click your heals together!

Glenda, glad you are safe...had wondered about your area. We had tornadoes here that touched down about 4 miles from us. Did a lot of damage but no deaths. I certainly feel for those folks that were so severely affected.

Oh you just created a project for me on this very slow running computer. Been thinking about it.. but today's clean up day.
I sat with an Atlas and watching the weather channel most of that night. WOW I feel for all these people and prayers for their recovery.
Hope Mr. MOJO finds us all. We have 3 inches of newly fallen snow, but it is a beautiful peaceful sight and hopefully our last for the season. Enjoy

Glad you were safe from the storms, Glenda! This sure has been a scary time as far as weather goes. At least you had a productive day cleaning up your computer and now you are all fresh to make more of your gorgeous creations!

You'd think I would be better at backing up, since when digital first came out, I almost lost all my pictures when my computer died! Luckily, a friend was able to find them!
Ok...this week's goal: find my craft room and back up photos!!

Glad to hear that you are ok...tornados are WEIRD things!! Still remember those sirens and twisters in Nebraska while in collage!!

I'm glad you're okay. I got to thinking about you and had to come check. So far everyone I've checked on have been spared, but I could just cry reading the news and seeing the photos online. So sad.

So glad you were spared any damage from the storm! I need to clean out my photos, too! It's amazing how many photos I download just to get one good one.

I'm glad you have your old friend back up and running by your side. We don't have a storm shelter or anything here and I was very uneasy this time too and said a lot of prayers! A few years back we never had tornados in this area but the threat is getting more frequent now. I hoped that you were not harmed by the storms.
