Decorated Egg.....

It won't be long until Easter and I decided it is time to get busy and decorate some eggs.  This one is a real chicken egg that is blown and washed and dried.  I painted it with Acrylic paint and then once dry I added all the decorations.  Some pretty braid around the center then some soft flowers and leaves here and there.  I have several of these to do and I envision them in a pretty basket sitting on a table for the upcoming holiday.

I hope this has inspired you to do one ,or several of your own.  Just a few flowers, some leaves and a hot glue gun and away you go.  The possibilities are endless so just pull out all those flowers you have had stashed away gathering dust and get busy.

We are beginning a brand new week so embrace the possibilities and as always, remember to "Breathe"!

Lovely..love the spring colors and a basket of these would be awesome.
2 wks ago I asked my DH to save his morning eggshell for me..showed him how to do it. A few days later I asked him where he put those empty egg shells..Ha, Ha, "You are nuts lady that was one big mess!!!" I don't know what he did but..he must of cleaned it up. So I guess I'll forget it this year!
Have a great week.

Very pretty! I can't wait to see how you decorate the others!
The DH's grandmother decorated ostrich eggs. I have one that was made into a clock and another that was a cradle, given to me when the oldest was born!
I've never tried to decorate eggs like this. Not sure I have the patience for such a fragile canvas!

I was just going to say "is there nothing you can't do?" when I noticed that your first commenter said the very same thing. Well... is there nothing you can't do? This is gorgeous. A basket of these as a table decoration would be breathtaking!

What a gorgeous centerpiece that would make. Now you've got my head spinning with ideas for obne. Do you just prink the ends & blow them out ? Your egg is truly beautiful & I also can't wait till you show us all of them when they're finished,
