Bird Card.....

This week Joan's Gardens is hosting her first weekly challenge of the new year!  Why don't you go visit Joan's blog and play along!  This week Joan asked us to use the following elements on our cards or projects:

1. Use some kind of animal, bird or whatever
2. Use a floral background paper
3. Do something that takes you out of your comfort zone
4. Use some kind of Die

My bird is a hummer, I used a floral paper from my stash, the die is a Spellbinders square die and something out of my comfort zone is that I colored the hummer and flowers with Ranger Distress Inks.  As this is only the second time I've colored flowers this is definitely out of my comfort zone!  Please be kind!

So there you have it!  Have a great day!  Take a little time just for you.

Supplies:
Spellbinders Dies
Flourishes Stamps
Silk Ribbon from my Stash
Ranger Distress Inks
Watercolor Paper
Designer Paper from my Stash
Gina K. Designs Card Stock
Sakura Gelly Roll Pen with sparkle (Hummer)

Miss a week missed a LOT..peeped back quite a few posts to get caught up. Congrats on the Stylish Blogger Award..you deserve that. Love the growing changes you have made over time.
Your Magnolia Card of Thanks is beautiful. Love all the detail.
On the weekly sleep thing, it must affect us all, but I find it is one way I get caught up on something!!! Your coloring is true blue beautiful on these Magnolia stamps.
And I loved to see your snow pictures!!! My son in Atlanta even has snow. We are to get 7 to 10 inches today again. Some of it melted away a week ago which is really unusual here in Iowa.
Was glad to hear about Joan's Tuesday Tags, I love tags and this will really get my mojo back to doing "My" thing. Her challenges are always fun.
Your tag and the card here are so pretty. Great job. and I also loved the flowers you sent to Sherry. She's a hoot.
Have fun and with the Lord willing I should be back to daily my routine.

Glenda, You have been busy this morning. I love this card, especially the hummingbird. I have that vine growing in my yard. Although yours is beautiful, the real thing is a pain and not as nice looking as morning glories. I never can color these flowers right! Yours are lovely! Have a wonderful Monday.

Oh my goodness Glenda - my favorite bird is the hummingbird! You've captured it perfectly! I just adore this card! My brother has a huge bush of the trumpet flowers growing in his backyard - and I've tried and tried to take a piece but they never bloom. His are gorgeous. You did just beautiful girl!
