Heartfelt Creations does a cross promotion with Scor Pal!

Today we are doing a cross promotion with Scor Pal. Please visit the Heartfelt Creation blog at www.heartfeltcreations.us/blog and the Scor Pal blog at http://scor-pal.blogspot.com/. Prepare to be blown away with all the amazing projects featuring the Scor Pal and Heartfelt Creations products.

Can I just say, I absolutely love the new Scor Pal!  I use it each and every day.  I make a lot of 6" X  6" cards with lots of embellishments and when you have to mail them you need a box like this to protect the card!  This box is a gift all by itself; I love the quiet elegance of the papers and stamps and of course, those flowers.  You can just tuck this box down inside a mailing envelope and it's ready to go and your card will arrive in perfect shape.

Heartfelt Creations Products Used:
HCDP1 234 Daphne Paper Collection
HCPC 3540 Spring Season PreCut Set
HCPC 3406 Botanical Floral 1 PreCut Set
HCPC 3407 Botanical Floral 2 PreCut Set
HCD 735 Gift Ensemble

Other Supplies:  Scor Pal Scoring tool, Scor-Tape, cream card stock, Memento ink, Ranger Distress Inks, white card stock, glue, Paper Blossoms Tool Kit, pearls

 Instructions:  Box size: 6 1/4" X 6 1/4"
Cut a piece of cream colored card stock 8 1/4 X 8 1/4  and one piece 8  5/16 X 8  5/16 so it will fit down over the bottom of the box.  Score  both pieces of card stock 1” on all 4 sides using the Scor Pal.  Cut the corners on the bottom piece and use Scor-Tape to adhere and make the box bottom.  Next cut the corners on the top piece and add the Scor-Tape but do not form the box top.  Cut pieces of  design paper to fit the sides and the top of the box lid. I stamped the birdhouse on the  paper and colored using distress inks.   I used Scor-Tape to adhere paper to the top and sides of the box.  Now it is time to make flowers.  I stamped, cut out and colored the flowers on white card stock.  I added color using distress inks and a sponge.  Shape the flower petals and form your flowers.  Glue together and set aside to dry.  Once dry, I glued down the pearls to the centers of the flowers.  Cut out the swirls using a piece of the designer paper and lay out on the box top to decide where you want your flowers and leaves to go.  Then all you have to do is glue down the flowers and your box is ready to go.

I hope you enjoy seeing my project; I really enjoyed making it for  you.  Now you should go over to the Heartfelt Creations Blog and see all the lovely projects that have been submitted this week.  Also if you would like to visit the design team member's blogs, you can just click on their names on the side bar of this blog and go visit them.  Leave them a message.  We all love hearing from you.  After all it is you that makes our world go round!

You're So Thoughtful

Good morning everyone!  I want to share another card I made to help fill my own box of cards.  It is a terrible thing to make cards and never have one on hand to mail when you need it.  I try to keep several in my own box then I can send a hand made card instead of having to go out and buy one.

This card was super easy, as I let the paper do most of the work again.  This is some of the gorgeous Heartfelt Creations paper from the Daphne Collection.  I used one of the stamps from the HCPC 3363 Inspire Me Sentiments PreCut Set, also from Heartfelt Creations.  Then I just tied a big old bow in pink and it's all ready to be mailed as a thank you card!  How easy is that?  I think it made a beautiful card and I'm proud to have in my my box!

Well that's it for me this morning.  Hope you have a good day planned and that wherever you go or whatever you are doing you take a moment just for you and "Breathe".

Friday Morning......

Good morning everyone!  As we slide into another weekend, I'm here to share with you another card I've made for Heartfelt Creations.

Every now and then we all need a sympathy card.  I love how this turned out.  The scene has a quiet elegance needed for this type of card.  If you would like a list of all products used and the instructions to make one for yourself, just go to the HP blog and have a look around.   You will find a lot of projects there and I'm sure you will find something to inspire you!

The weekend is just around the corner!  I hope you have some wonderful plans and that your weather is good.  We are warming up and have actually had two dry days. The rain has really been with us a lot in these parts.  Normally by this time of the year we are experiencing hot dry days.  But we will take what we are given.  Most of my days, the dry ones at least, are spent doing chores in the yard.  Everything is growing by leaps and bounds and needs trimming back every time I turn around!  So this year I'm a full time gardener but I really do love being outdoors in the sunshine and fresh air.  And if you miss me on a day when I normally post, that is where I'll be.  I'm reminded of the poem.....Mary, Mary...quite contrary...how does your garden grow?    By leaps and bounds....thank you very much!

OK I'm off to get my day started.  It's getting daylight outside and my chores await!  Have a wonderful weekend and I will try to be back on Monday with another post for you!  See you then!

Instructions:  Card Size: 6” X 6”

Cut a piece of watercolor paper 6” X 12” and score at 6” to make the card base.  Cut a piece of the Daphne Paper 6” X 6” and distress the edges the use distress inks to add color to the edges.  Adhere this to the card base.  Next I stamped the image onto a piece of watercolor paper and used the distress inks and a brush to color.  I added some shading using the pencils to the pumpkins and the sunflowers.  Next I cut out around the scene and adhered it to the card front.  I stamped and cut out the flowers then I shaped them for my take on a sunflower.  I added some orange chalk to the centers of the petals and then glued the Gala Glitz in the center.  I stamped and cut out the leaves and shaped them and then added some of the 3D paint for shimmer.  I chose the words I wanted to use from the sentiments and edged them with distress inks and then glued them down.  And finally I glued down the dew drops and the card is finished.

Now if you would love to be inspired, just take a little trip over to the Heartfelt Creations blog and have a look around.  We have all been very busy creating projects to show you the versatility of this collection.

WOYWW # 211

Happy WOYWW folks and I feel like a complete stranger around here.  My Spring has been such a busy one and we have had so very much rain in these parts that everything is growing by leaps and bounds.  I seem to stay behind on everything and this fun activity is what has seemed to suffer.  I love to play along on Wednesdays but it has been some time since I had the time to do it.  So this morning I have my picture of my desk ready to go and am jumping in with both feet!

I just finished making some flowers and have already started putting things away and then remembered it was now or never if I wanted to play along this week.  My picture is not the best but you can enlarge it and get a better view of everything.  I have even turned to a clean sheet for the write up of my next project.  Some inks that always seem to be right where they are each and every day.  Some Viva 3D Stamp Paint (A new toy for me)  It helps make some gorgeous flowers!   And each and every morning my cup of coffee sitting there getting cold.  I usually wind up putting it in the micro-wave to heat it up so I can drink it.  I don't usually have much more of a mess on my desk at any given time.  If it gets much more than this then I start losing things.

Now I'm off to visit as many of the other blogs as I can manage...I never seem to get around to everyone but I do keep trying.  Even the weeks I don't get to play along I manage to visit some of  you anyway.

So have a good rest of the week and be sure and check my next post in a little while as I will be posting a card for Heartfelt Creations.  See you there!

Thanks.......

We all need thank you cards in our little box to send when someone does us a kindness.  I find my stash is depleted and this is one I have done to start building again.  My card is a 5" X 7" and I used Heartfelt Creations HCDP1 233 Sun Kissed paper collection.  The sentiment is  from a retired set of Stampin Up and the butterfly is Memory Box Vivienne Butterfly.  The paper and the sentiment are doing all the work for this one and I do love these lovely papers!

I'm running a little late this morning.  I awoke to rain here again and have to confess, I lingered in the bed for awhile.  Now it is time to rise and shine even if the sun isn't.  Hope you have a good day and that you get to do something that makes you happy.

Special Memories.......

Good morning everyone.  It's the last day of the week and the weekend is just around the corner.  Hope you all have wonderful plans!  I'm here this morning to show you the other card I made for Heartfelt Creations this week.  I'm really enjoying working with this new release and just love all the stamps, papers and dies for the Gateway to the Seasons Collection.

I know I'm going to date myself here, but I can remember growing up without a dryer and we had a Maytag wringer washer that sat on the back porch.  We heated water for the laundry and ran it through the wringer into rinse water, then back through the wringer and out to the line to dry in the summer breezes!  I grew up with the smell of fresh sheets and I still love to hang my laundry on the line.  Now that we have established my age bracket, that's as far as I'm going down that road!

If you would like a list of products used and the directions for making this card just head over to the HC blog and everything is listed there.  Take a moment and have a look around.  You will truly be inspired this week.  There is a lot of talent on this team and everyone is really strutting their stuff with these wonderful products!

Well that does it for me this morning!  I'm going to spend the day playing in my craftroom.  At least that is the plan.  Seems like lately, my plans have been altered by all the outside chores I have had.  We just keep getting rain, rain and more rain and it's a "jungle" out there!  Everything is growing so fast, It seems like I mow twice a week and I'm constantly trimming something or other back to keep it from taking over God's little Acre.  Well enough whining on my part, I'm really trying to be thankful for the rain as so many others are in a drought condition.  So come on Mother Nature and give it your best shot.  I'll suck it up and try to make do with whatever you toss in my direction! Who knows I might even find time to "Breathe"!

Monday Morning.......

Is it just me or is time flying by?  I can't seem to keep up anymore and I feel like there are at least three Mondays in each week.  Is that a sign I'm getting old?  Well whatever it is, it is Monday again and we are beginning another week.

This morning I want to share another card I made for you using an image that was stamped off and sent to me by a dear friend.  She knows how much I love to color using distress inks and she sent me many images to practice with.  So all I had to do was color this little cutie and then finish my card.

I used some pretty Heartfelt Creations paper and the flower is a rose I made sometime ago.  The only thing I can remember about it is I used distress ink to color and some glitter. I think my coloring skills are slipping a little so I will be trying to do more of these cute little images soon.

OK that does it for me this morning!  Hope you have a good day planned and that you take a little time just for you and "Breathe"!

Friday Morning.....

Good morning everyone and I hope you are all doing well.  I have been working on some new projects for Heartfelt Creations and I'm not able to show you yet.  So this morning I don't have a card or tag project to show you, but I'm going to share another picture of my little Bella.

This bed has a pillow in it for Maggie to rest on and Bella has made herself a hideout!  She burrowed down under the pillow and at one point was totally hidden under it.  When she came out for air I snapped her picture.  You can see a little of the Impish look on her face...she was being so feisty.

As you can see she was wiggled her way into my heart and Maggie even worries if I take Bella out of the equation for a little while.  When I bring Bella back, Maggie has to do an inventory to make sure Bella is none the worse for wear.  At 5 months old and a whopping 3 1/2 pounds, I'm thinking she may not make it to 5 lbs by the time she is 6 months old.  Being the runt of the litter does have it's drawbacks!

So for those of you who came here thinking there would be a card on display, I apologize.  Living alone, I have all the yard work to do on my own and even though I'm not raising a garden this year, it has been hard for me to handle all the extra work.  I'm hoping to get things under control and get back on schedule.  Please bear with me, Miss Mojo, took an extended vacation and didn't bother to ask if I would like to come along.  She is somewhere with her toes in the surf of a lovely beach, drinking little drinks with umbrellas stuck down inside.  As for me, if I get one of those little drinks, I will have to make it myself and as for the toes in the surf bit; well I could probably turn the hose on my feet!  MoJo...please come home!

Heartfelt Creations Wednesday......

Good morning and welcome to Heartfelt Creations Wednesday!  We have made it to the middle of the week and I get to share with you a card I made for Heartfelt Creations.

I just love these flowers from the Sun Kissed Fleur Collection and have used the stamps to make different flowers.  If you would like to see a list of products used and get the instructions for making a card of your own, then just hop on over to the HC blog and have a look around.  The design team has been super busy this week working on projects to show you how easy it is to use these stamps and dies and gorgeous papers!

Also you can visit the design teams individual blogs by clicking on their names at the right hand side of my blog.  Go pay them a visit and leave them a comment.  We all love hearing from you!

Well that is it for me this morning!  I hope you enjoy my card as much as I enjoyed making it for you!  Have a wonderful day and I hope you find joy in it!

Monday Morning....

Good morning everyone.  Monday is here again and I was having trouble making something to show you here this morning.  I try to post Monday, Wednesday and Friday but lately my MoJo has gone camping or mountain climbing or basking in the sun on a beach somewhere and she didn't take me!  I haven't even been much of a mood to make flowers.  So I decided I would make a card and just let some of the beautiful papers and sentiments from Heartfelt Creations do the work for me.

I used the beautiful Posy Patch Paper Collection and my sentiment is  from HCPC 3509 Timeless Sentiments PreCut Set.  The butterfly is fussy cut from the paper and I put dimensional tape under it to pop it up a little.  Then all I had to do was add a ribbon and bow and my card is ready to go!  How easy was that.  It is so easy to be creative when you use products from Heartfelt Creations.   But it would be nice to have Miss MoJo come home.  If any of you see her walking in the sand with sandals in hand, tell her vacation is over and it's time to come home.  I'll even bake her a pie!

Well that is it for me this morning.  Hope you have good plans for your Monday and that you take a moment for yourself and "Breathe"!
