Good morning everyone. It's the last day of the week and the weekend is just around the corner. Hope you all have wonderful plans! I'm here this morning to show you the other card I made for Heartfelt Creations this week. I'm really enjoying working with this new release and just love all the stamps, papers and dies for the Gateway to the Seasons Collection.
I know I'm going to date myself here, but I can remember growing up without a dryer and we had a Maytag wringer washer that sat on the back porch. We heated water for the laundry and ran it through the wringer into rinse water, then back through the wringer and out to the line to dry in the summer breezes! I grew up with the smell of fresh sheets and I still love to hang my laundry on the line. Now that we have established my age bracket, that's as far as I'm going down that road!
If you would like a list of products used and the directions for making this card just head over to the HC blog and everything is listed there. Take a moment and have a look around. You will truly be inspired this week. There is a lot of talent on this team and everyone is really strutting their stuff with these wonderful products!
Well that does it for me this morning! I'm going to spend the day playing in my craftroom. At least that is the plan. Seems like lately, my plans have been altered by all the outside chores I have had. We just keep getting rain, rain and more rain and it's a "jungle" out there! Everything is growing so fast, It seems like I mow twice a week and I'm constantly trimming something or other back to keep it from taking over God's little Acre. Well enough whining on my part, I'm really trying to be thankful for the rain as so many others are in a drought condition. So come on Mother Nature and give it your best shot. I'll suck it up and try to make do with whatever you toss in my direction! Who knows I might even find time to "Breathe"!

First off, your card is so Lovely it bring back memories for me too. We too hung all our laundry out on the line each week but we did have a reguler washer so I'm maybe a few years younger... I guess there were dryers but we could not aford one to buy let along run... We are so spoiled now :)....

Beautiful card, Glenda, I love the scene with the wash, beautiful coloring! I remember wash on the line, I loved being outdoors and the wonderful fresh smell of the sheets! To bad I have so many birds that I can't hang anything out, even my umbrella gets blessed by the birds! Have a fabulous Friday!
Glenda...my mom had a rose arbor in our back yard, near the clothesline where she hung out the laundry to dry...after going through the Maytag wringer washer! This card brings back so many warm and wonderful memories. You captured a mood, a setting, and a place in time for me with this stunning work of art. Thank you!
Another beauty Glenda! I love your coloring and your gorgeous, as always, flowers! Blessings! Kathy

Oh, my! I just love this scene and your memories. Gee, I have those same memories, but we didn't have to heat the water. Mom rolled her wringer washer into the kitchen and hooked it up to the sink plumbing. I was in grade school. Soon after that she got a new fangled washer. I remember my Grandma actually using a washboard and tub outside. Your flowers are so gorgeous and, again, those die cuts. Love the distressing, too. So beautiful!
I always know I'll come here to see something gorgeous. This is stunning Glenda. Yes, and I remember doing laundry this way too but the setting was not as beautiful.
LOVE what you are creating with these gates!! Lovely, lovely scenes to take one away!!
I grew up hanging up the laundry in the summer!! We did have a dryer for winter. I also remember my grandmother still using her washboard in the laundry room sink, right next to her washer and dryer! Now, that washboard hangs in my laundry room
This is simply gorgeous Glenda. I so love those Heartfelt Creations products & just got the Countryside Evening collection. They are all just fabulous looking so I had a hard time choosing which set to buy.
Your card has so many lovely elements on it & anything you do just shines....
Hugs, Janie
Just found you through the Heartfelt Creations Blog......loving your wonderful work.
I will be back

Glenda, your card, just like hanging clothes on the line, has a vintage feel to it- a little shabby chic, a little Victorian, but soft and beautiful.
Love the view through your garden gate!
