WOYWW #386...

Good morning everyone!  It has been a good long while since I have posted here and I'm ashamed that I haven't done better.  My design team posts on Wednesday and I can't seem to keep my little ducks in a row to be able to have something to post. Each Wednesday we get together and take a photo of our desk and link it on Julia's blog for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday.   I've also been working in the yard trying to get everything ready for Fall. We have been in drought conditions and there is a lot of dead limbs and stuff to clear off.  The leaves are falling and today I mowed to mulch them.  I don't rake anymore but the leaves are good for the soil.  By Spring they are rotted down into the ground and all is well.

This afternoon this is what is on my desk.  As you can see there isn't any crafting going on.  Bella has decided she loves to sit here and watch the birds outside while I catch up on computer work.

Next I have a little project I just finished for my desk in the living room.  I decorated a lantern with Fall foliage and ribbon.  I watched a video on YouTube and got the idea.  I went to the Dollar Tree where everything is...you guessed it...a dollar and bought the leaves and florals.  The swag can be taken off and another one for another season can be attached.  Next will be Christmas and then in the Spring another one will appear.  I just thought it was a great idea without too much fuss!

Well that's it for me this morning.  I'm off to visit as many of you as I can!

Oh what a great idea Mahpie, how cute is your silky dog, well kept and, handsome indeed.. I'm not woywwing this week as it's rather a medical week, plus GDT responsibilities for Rudolph day, and next week maybe much the same but maybe more organised.
Hugs dear friend, Shaz in Oz.x

I love the swag - does it come off easily when you want to light the candle? We have some amazing flameless electric candles over here, that look almost real!

Bella is too cute...there would be trouble if my 154lb Great Pyrenees tried to sit on my desk!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Beautiful lantern! I can see how you could change this for the seasons and holidays! I love how your dog sits and watches the birds, just like my cat - who is very upset at the cold weather! Thanks for sharing! Lindart #49

What a beautiful and fun idea to decorate the lantern for different seasons!! I think it's adorable and very comforting to have Bella perched there on your desk. She likes to be near you and she's so sweet to look at. LuLu will frequently lay right outside my stamp room door, which works nicely because it's a small room and she's a bit larger than Bella.
