Good morning everyone and welcome to another Heartfelt Creations Wednesday!  This is the second Wednesday of the month and it's release day for the Classic Rose Collection!  Join us as we showcase these lovely stamps, dies and beautiful papers!

Beautiful in color, exquisite in fragrance, and ever so dignified, the rose is one of the most coveted flowers found in chic bouquets or carefully tended flower gardens.  Breathtaking in bud form, as a blossom gently opening or in full bloom, It is a flower that calls attention to itself and beckons you to pause and quietly reflect upon it's elegance.  Heartfelt Creations invites you to stop, fall quiet and immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the new Classic Rose Collection! Filled with delicate illustrations of roses ranging from buds, to full blossoms, rose wreaths and flower filled vines, the three cling stamp sets and coordinating dies included in the assembling will have you building gorgeous rose gardens filled with varying sizes of dimensional flowers as realistic as those found in nature themselves.  The captivating decorative paper collection will whisk you away to perfectly manicured rose filled grounds, serene meadows where brooks babble and wild roses hold their heads high, and alluring views from charming old world buildings clad in weathered brick and vining florals.  The handsome color palette of regal purples, deep brick like reds, rich corals and leafy greens filled with delicate swirls, stunning brickwork and floral patterns along with tender handwritten script are among just a few of the magnificent elements found within this graceful paper assembling.  So join us as we slow down, enjoy the view and take some time to linger and smell the roses.

My card size is 4 1/4 X 5 1/2.  Make card base and cover with a piece of the paper collection.  Cut the largest Floral Oval Die out of white cardstock and then cut a piece of the paper collection with the largest Classic Oval Die.  Glue the paper onto the Floral Oval and set aside.  Cut a length of white seam binding and spray with water; then scrunch to crinkle and set aside to dry.  Next stamp, emboss and cut out the rose petals and the leaves using the watercolor paper. Apply New Sprout ink to the leaves and then shape with an embossing tool from the flower shaping kit. Spray the back of the rose petals with a mist of water and begin to shape using the flower shaping kit.  Once they look the way you want them to, set them aside to dry.  When the petals are dry add the Prills to the center. While you are shaping the petals, have fun and play with them. Remember in nature all flowers are different.  Next I shaped the rosebuds and laid them aside to dry.  When everything is dry, use dimensional tape to adhere the Floral Oval to the front of the card.  Glue down the flowers and leaves and cut out a cute little tag from the paper collection.  I used dimensional tape behind it as well to give a bit more dimension to the front of the card.  Next I tied a bow and used my hot glue gun to adhere it to the card front.

Best Wishes

Instructions:
My card size is 6 X 6.
When making your roses you might like to follow along in this video with Emma Lou about making dimensional roses:    https://youtu.be/Z8P070kC3oo

I made the card base using watercolor paper because of the weight and stability. Cut a piece of the paper collection and using the distressing tool, distress the edges.  I then used Dusty Concord Distress ink to ink the curled edges.  Next I cut a piece of seam binding and wet it then I applied some of the Sage ink to my craft mat and spritzed with water.  Then I ran my seam binding in the ink and water until I am happy with the amount of color in the seam binding.  Scrunch the seam binding and set it aside to dry.  Using a lighter weight watercolor paper, stamp and cut out the flower petals and leaves.  Color with Dusty concord and Sage Shadow ink and let dry.  You can use your heat gun for this as it helps to set the color.  Once dry we are going to spritz with water and begin the process of shaping the petals.  Set them aside to dry.  When the petals are dry glue them together to form the flowers and add the prills that have been colored with the green ink.  Next I stamped my sentiment and used the label die to die cut the shape.  While still in the die I used a cotton ball swirled in Dusty Concord ink and lightly applied color to the label.  Use a light hand as you can always apply more color.  Glue down the half pearls and use dimensional tape to apply to the card front.  Tie a bow and glue down; I also tied little knots in the ends of the seam binding just to give a different feel to the bow.  Now start tucking the flowers and leaves around the bow and the sentiment.  Once you are happy with their placement, glue them down.
