WOYWW #345

Good morning everyone from a bitter cold East Tennessee!  We are sitting at 21 degrees this morning and a brisk breeze!  Brrrrrr!  I'm here to share some pictures of my workdesk this morning as a part of WOYWW # 345.  If you would like all the info on this little bit of madness, just hop over to Julia's blog and have a look around.

This first picture is showing what my desk really looks like this morning.  For me, it's a hot mess!  But it is really just some of the different elements I use when doing a mini album.  I have started a new album using the Heartfelt Creations 'Once Upon a Time' paper collection. There is bling on a string, flat back pearls, decorative buttons and lace as well as metal corner pieces.  The die cut doily will be used on my first valentine card of the season. and way in the back behind the magnet package are some little jars of prills or tiny beads to go into flower centers.

One of the pages in my mini album.  I love making all my own flowers, leaves and butterflies plus I always hand dye my seam binding to match the papers.  I'm totally hooked on these albums.

Well that's all for me.  I'm off to visit this morning.  Have a good day; stay warm and remember to "Breathe"!

Just love Heartfelt Creations - it was wonderful to see Emma Lou and Richard at CHA as I only get to see them there these days. They had some amazing stuff on display and I loved a little cart thy had with some flowers inside it.
Now what is this about you being too old to go to CHA - never! I do it and each year it does become harder to pound the walkways but it is such fun I don't think about it and just suffer afterwards.
Hugs, Neet 3 xx
ps it is cold here in LA too - I came prepard for sunshine - global warming?

Fab album!! Like the idea of dyeing the trims to match paper. We are up to 18 degrees here in Michigan! With lots of snow.

Gosh Glenda, my ignorance is showing, because I've never heard of Heartfelt Creations. But this is a lovely mini album cover.

I also dye all my own ribbons, laces, and most of my fabric using unconventional materials. If you enjoy dyeing your own materials, you might be interested in the tea bag tutorial I'll be posting tomorrow (Thursday).

It was 8 F this morning when I woke, but it's supposed to get above freezing today for the first time in weeks. Thanks for visiting while I slept. Happy WOYWW from #2.

Well Glenda, if I was so good at putting lovely vintage pieces together like you are, I would be in love with making the albums too! that page is just wonderful. Valentines - ugh, haven't thought of them before they started to be talked about on today's desks! And prills I did not know what they were, another day not wasted!

Hi there Magpie
I am finally returning your call from last week, sorry, but I haven't been well, plus then had visitors which was lovely.
Do love the white die cut there on your desk, and the page shared well done.
