Good morning everyone and welcome to a brand new challenge over at The Sisterhood of Crafters. The challenge is a color challenge:
"Pink and Lavendar"
Use this photo as inspiration:
I love this fence and wish mine looked this way. It just speaks to me; what could be more wonderful than to walk past this on a summer day and smell those roses!
I bowed the fence a bit and then added the flowers down the side. You can barely see it but there is lavendar ribbon tucked in there. I also fell in love with the way these butterflies turned out and just had to use them.
Now it's your turn to create a project and link it to The Sisterhood's blog; I can't wait to see what you make.
I'm entering this in the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion - Always Anything Goes
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes
MelonHeadz Friends - Flowers Everywhere

HCD 701 Posy Patch Die

A Wedding Card.....
Good morning everyone and welcome to my little corner of the world. I'm here this morning to share a card I made for a family member getting married in June.
It's not showing up very well but there is gold cardstock under the cut outs and in the layers. I wanted this to be an elegant card as they are very special to me and I wish them the very best life has to offer! I made Asters using dies from Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters. I hope you enjoy seeing this as much as I enjoyed making it!

My Bella...
Bella turned two in January and we are definitely experiencing her terrible twos. Actually she is a really good snuggle bunny and only torments Maggie some of the time! Yesterday was her first grooming appointment as I had always done it myself. Yes it always did look like a homemade haircut but I was pretty pleased with the outcome most of the time. She has thick, fine hair and it wants to mat and cause her grief so I decided we needed some help and off she went to see what could be done. Well she took right up with one of the girls and didn't mind that I left her at all. They said she was perfect when I picked her up, but of course at that point I was there to take her home and all the struggling was over. They did some thinning so that should make her coat a little easier to care for.
This photo was taken at 4:30 AM this morning and you can see she has bed head. Be grateful I'm not doing a selfie! We won't talk about my bed head!
She is giving me one of her looks this morning...she isn't pleased with me for taking photos before she had a chance to pretty-up! About the only thing left of her new "do" is the cute little pink bow and it is lop sided! She looks tiny doesn't she? She weighs 5 lbs. and is what they call a Teddy Bear Yorkie. They are short and stocky and have that sweet little face. I just wanted to let you have a little look into my world this morning.

Good morning everyone...come on in and sit a spell! I'm here to show the top of my work space this morning and then share it in the world wide get together over at Julia's blog. All we do is take a photo of our space and blog about it, then link it on Julia's blog and you are ready to go. We can visit each other and see what we have going on in our world! It is so much fun and I love looking in on all of you!
You can see I have been using the push back technique here. Problem is there is about a 4" space between the back of my desk and the wall; can you guess what is going to happen? I have been down on my knees many times looking to fish something out from behind my desk that fell off! While I'm there...on my knees...I usually try and take advantage of it and have a little heart to heart with my Lord !
I've been digging for my butterflies and seem to be obsessed with butterflies these days. I love butterfly stamps, butterfly papers, butterfly die cuts! They seem to be used a lot these days so I'm right on point! See the spool of lilac colored ribbon under the butterflies? I will be using that on a card that will be featured soon! I had to do a bit of retail therapy in order to purchase that ribbon so it all worked out!
Well that's it for me! I don't want to get too long winded this morning. I'm off to visit Julia's blog and get started visiting as many of you as I can!

A New Card to Share and the Winner of My Small Gift...
Good morning everyone and welcome to my little corner of the world!
This is a quick and simple card that I allowed the products to do the heavy lifting. The background is an Anna Griffin embossing folder and the center medallion is a piece of Heartfelt Creations Raindrops and Roses paper. I cut oval die cuts and created the frame for it. The bow took the longest to create as I had to color the seam binding and allow it time to dry. My card base is 5 X 7 and I really love the simplicity of this card.
Next up, the winner of the little gift I have to give away!
I printed off all the names for the drawing and folded them and put them in this little cup. Then I pulled out one and.....
The winner of the Spellbinders die is:
Shaz please reach out to me and send along your US mail address. You have 24 hours to contact me at: smithgfb@bellsouth.net
Well that's it for me this morning. Hope you have a good day even if it is Monday!

Oldie For Friday...
Good morning everyone and welcome to Oldie for Friday started by Erika at: http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk/. I think this is a wonderful way to take a walk down memory lane and take a look at some of my older projects. It's also a good way to have a post, especially during the summer when my plate is so full! With all the yard work and the garden, my life is crazy busy right now!
Well that's it for me this morning. I have lots to do today and the rain is coming so I have to get a wiggle on!
This little image I think is so cute. I used a brush and Ranger Distress Inks to color the image. I really miss those days of coloring the images on my cards. Seems like I got away from that long ago and I'm sure my skills are no longer good. This technique takes lots of practice and I haven't done any coloring for a long time. Note to self: Look in my image box for something to color!

The Sisterhood of Crafters...Celebrate Moms
Good morning everyone and welcome to the new challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters. In this challenge we are Celebrating Moms and Add a Flower.
This is called an envelope card and is made by folding one 12 X 12 piece of design paper that is two sided. You can find instructions for these all over YouTube so just pick one and follow along. I chose this pretty floral paper with lots of purple on a cream background. I made a flower and cute little butterfly and used lots of lace and bling and a pretty purple ribbon to tie it all together. When you pull the ribbon it opens the flap and you can make a long card to fit inside.
This is the back side and on each side of the ribbon you can add small cards and tuck them down inside.
These are the little cards I made to tuck inside of this envelope card. I used a pretty Heartfelt Creations corner die to cut out purple cardstock to match the outside of my card. Once they are tucked inside the envelope all you see are the pretty purple corners. I definitely see more of these in my future!
Now it's your turn to create a project and link it to The Sisterhood's blog; I can't wait to see what you make.

Good morning everyone! Since it is Wednesday it's time to share my work desk with you and show a little bit of what is going on in my world. Actually most everything is outdoors this time of year but it's still a work in progress this year and definitely not ready to photograph!
If you are curious about this world wide blog hop, just head over to Julia's blog and she has all the instructions on her blog.
I'm just clearing away some of my mess this morning and still have a ways to go. I have glue and punches, lace and glitter, and just a generalized mess. Not too bad really but now that I'm ready to start something new, it's time to clear all this away. I'm going to pay some bills and that's my Yorkie check book in the left hand corner. Also my new envelope punch makes the dimensional envelopes for thicker cards. I'm beginning to love that thing!
Well that's it for me this morning. Today I will be back outside digging in the dirt as I have flowers to plant.

A Small Gift...
Good morning everyone and welcome to my corner of the world. In going through some of my hoard...umm...supplies, I found a couple of things that I have duplicates of. I'm not sure how this happened but I need to get them out of my way. So I will be doing a small giveaway. All you need to do is leave me a comment to be eligible. I'm sorry but it is USA only as I cannot afford the postage for other countries. I will pick a name the old fashioned way with putting everyone's names in a box and pulling one as the winner! I will announce the winner next Monday, May 18, 2015. While you are here and looking around, if you like what you see, please follow me. It is not a requirement for this giveaway but I love to see new faces! This gift is just a small way for me to give a little love!
This Spellbinders 5 X 7 Exquisite Labels Eleven set is brand new, still in it's original packaging and ready to go. You will need a die cut machine to cut this but it makes a lovely card base for your cards! I love the one I use and use it often!
Remember to check back next Monday for the winner. The winner will have 24 hours to contact me or I will pick someone else. These need to go out of my space now! Good luck to you all!

Making Rosettes....
While rummaging around in my cabinet yesterday, I found about 4 pieces of coordinating papers and knew I must use them right there on the spot. The colors just spoke to me. Now they have been lying there for awhile now and I know the colors are no longer the "In" colors but I don't care. I love these shades of oranges, browns and greens! All I could see were rosettes and a birthday card so I began by making rosettes!
I'm always trying to add to my stockpile of birthday cards and I covered that as well! The two with butterfly centers had Glossy Accents on them. That little tidbit didn't show up in the photo. The pretty little bow in the corner was tied using the Bow-It-All. I love that thing!
Well that's it for me this morning! Hope you have a great day planned and that you get do something you love!

Oldie for Friday...
Good morning everyone and welcome to Oldie for Friday started by Erika at: http://snappycrafts.blogspot.co.uk/. I love looking back at some of the projects I have made and seeing how I have progressed. We won't go back far enough for you to see the very beginning but I do plan to share some of my old projects with you each Friday. It's also a great way to have a post when life has just gotten in the way and you haven't had time to play.
I was on the Heartfelt Creations Design Team for a couple of years and a lot of my creations are featuring their products. I am still a lover of their products and still use their stamps, dies and papers almost every day. So most of my oldies will be the things I made for them.
Hope you enjoy! Have a great weekend!

WOYWW #309
Good morning everyone and welcome to my Wednesday WOYWW post! If you don't know what WOYWW is just head over to Julia's blog and have a look around. She is the creator of this blog hop and has all the details listed on pages along the top of her blog if you would like to participate!
I started out yesterday, just making flowers and then I was going to decide what I wanted to put them on.
As you can see, I actually cleaned up a bit before I took this photo. Then I got word my neighbor's brother passed away and so suddenly I need a sympathy card so these flowers took on a whole new life...
I picked out some quiet paper from Heartfelt Creations and of course these flowers are made using their Arianna Blooms stamps and dies. I added just a bit of bling because it just needed something more and the bling was just lying there in plain sight.

I added some white seed beads and flat back pearls for the centers and of course a bit of glitter on the petals.
In keeping with Julia's rules I will stop here and not have such a lengthy post this morning. She likes us to keep it short and sweet. So I'm off to link up at Julia's and then to start my visits for the morning!

It's your Special Day....
Good morning everyone and welcome. Come on in and sit a spell and let's share a cup of coffee or tea and get caught up. I've been so busy lately I hardly know if I'm washing or hanging out! But the good news is the vegetable garden is in and most of my flowers are in. I have some clean-up left to do in the landscaped areas but I do a little here and a little there and then suddenly it all comes together.
I have been working on another mini album following the Shellie Geigle videos and I'm almost ready to share it with you. This morning I'm sharing a card I made using some of the left over pieces of the Raindrops on Roses design paper from Heartfelt Creations! It makes for quick and easy cards because the paper does all the heavy lifting and I love it when that happens! The little flower is one I made to go into the album and I love the purple with the shades of pink on the paper! Heartfelt Creations knocked it out of the park on this one!
Now this one is ready to go into my bin for birthday cards and the next time I'm stuck I have one on hand!
OK, that does it for me this morning! I have blog buddies to visit and I'm still sipping my first cup of coffee! Have a great day; we are enjoying glorious Springtime weather in these parts!
