Good Monday morning everyone! Here I am again with my cup of coffee, staring at the computer screen (my window onto the world) and I'm thinking to myself maybe I should go climb back in bed. That's the beauty of being retired; I can do what I want...Right? Wrong! Today I need to be outside in the sunshine trimming roses and pulling weeds that are taking over my landscaping!
I just have to share another box with you guys! This is number 13! Bad luck? I don't think so! I personally love everything about this one! I started with the basic 3" X 3" cube box and then cut squares of cardstock to emboss onto the base box. I wanted to use Scattered Straw Distress Ink to color the box and knew that to use this ink in the usual way of swiping the ink onto the embossing folder then embossing would result in a smeared looking piece of cardstock. So I lightly spritzed the cardstock with my water bottle before I started and this was the end result.
My daisies are made using an old hoarded Heartfelt Creations die from long ago
(HCD 703 Daisy Patch Die and yellow Flower Soft for the centers. I think they are a perfect addition to the box and then I found this lovely gingham ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and it was just the finishing touch my box needed.
I hope you are not tired of my boxes as I have several more to go. I love doing these and have found they make my heart sing!
OK, that does it for me this morning. No matter what you wind up doing today and no matter where you find yourself, take a moment and "Breathe"!

Beautiful Daisy box, Glenda, I do love what you did with your yellow! Have a fun Monday! No sleep for me again, getting to be such a bother! Lots of nap time today!
Glenda you are the queen of making gorgeous boxes. We will never get tired of seeing them. This box makes you happy just to see it. Don't work to hard in the yard and get a back ache!
Love, love, love this Daisies box... and the backgound turned out beautifuly too! I've never tried coloring with the embosing folders, don't know why,,,, but after see this one (which I have) I'll have to try it!!! The person that gets this one will be very LUCKY!!!
Keep showing us your boxs,,, I'm so enjoying them!
Fabulous box, Glenda! Love the background. And your daisies are so pretty. They make think of spring in the north. It's spring here, already been 90 this past week and the pollen is so thick my red car is yellow! So I'll breathe very shallow with these bad allergies. Have a wonderful rest of the week. Hugs
Oh, I think this is my favorite so far! I just love yellow and white and daisies and all the spring fresh happiness this makes me feel. #13? Amazing progress! Don't hold back now. You MUST share them ALL!
I agree with the other ladies ... we could never get tired of seeing and being inspired by your beautiful creations! Now, I must admit THIS PARTICULAR ONE spoke to me! I love the combination of the color yellow and daisy flowers. In fact, I've lived in my house here in Akron for 13 years ... have painted the kitchen 4 times and twice it was yellow! LOL The ladies at the nursing home are so blessed to have you creating these for them ... what a thrilling day it will be when they receive them! BEAUTIFUL my friend!!!
I am thrilled with the thought of more boxes. This one is so adorable and Spring-y. I find it happy and uplifting and it is calling my name! Beautiful creating! Blessings.
