What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday # 249

Good morning everyone and welcome to WOYWW!  I love Wednesdays because I get to visit with so many people from all over the world thanks to Julia and her amazing idea that we might like to peep into each other's world!  For all the specifics just visit Julia's blog and get the low down and then take a picture of your desk and blog about it.  Then link to Julia's blog and you are all set to start to visit. You will see so many different interests and I'm sure you will find something to hold your interest!

I'm working on a mixed media canvas and I think I have pulled out just about everything I own to try and decide what I want to incorporate on this one.  I have used some modeling paste and I've decided I'm going to do some more.  I did some brick and a dragonfly or two and some chicken wire and a heart and swirls.  Some of it is not showing yet.  I've cut up a doily and pulled out some lace and I've been making roses that I will use with some bought flowers and leaves.  I think the whole idea is to pull out lots of goodies and then start playing with where you might like to use it.  Once you have an idea in your head...add some more and then glue it all down; then you are all set to spray with  shimmer sprays to give it color.  I love that part!  I'm already having fun with it.  I can't wait to see how it all turns out.  I will share it in a few days.  I've been doing some Spring cleaning so I'm not sure when I will get to come back in to play.  A day or so just gives me time to decide and get a more clear idea in my head!

OK, I've shown you mine...show us yours!  I'm off to visit as many desks as I can this morning.  Have a good day!

It's already looking absolutely beautiful - I love the image of the girl and the lace and vintage looking flowers. Is the diamond patterned packet a die - cool shape if it is.
Hope you have a good week,

Your canvas looks lovely so far. We always get too much stash out and end up aimlessly shuffling it around the desk.

Looking good so far but the end result will be amazing, I will be back to check it out. Try not to do too much cleaning it is really bad for your health, art is better. If you want you can come and play in my room there is plenty of space.

Happy WOYWW

I think that's how all mixed media goes, you have to pull out far more than you'll ever use before you can start editing it down to what works.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and for the nice comments.

Happy creating and Happy Woyww,

Love, love, love what you are doing to the canvas. Half the fun is pulling out all our stuff and discovering things we had forgotten.

That's definitely the best way...pull it all out and see where it might go. see if it can match the picture in your head! It looks lovely so far I must say. The skill, in my opinion, is knowing when to stop!!

Hi, Glenda! I've gotten behind again, but I finally made it over here, and I'm pretty excited to see your finished project! It's interesting to see it in such an early stage as this, kind of a peek into your head. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Glenda,

I love the looks of your canvas. The vintage image of the woman is beautiful. Isn't it funny how much supplies are needed for just about everything we do!

Thank you for visiting me already. I honestly didn't think it would take me so long to visit.

Happy belated WOYWW
