What's on your Workdesk? Wednesday #155

Each week a group of us crafters take pictures of our desks and post them on our blogs.  Then we go to Julia's blog and link our photo's to her blog.  This way we can visit each other and see what we have going on.  I have become quite addicted to this and love seeing what everyone has going on in their own little world!  That being said, here is my contribution:

Pretty clean, don't you think...not a lot going on here.  I don't really have any pending projects that are waiting in the wings.  And the reason for this is:

I've been digging in the dirt and watching my garden grow.  I love fresh veggies and pretty soon we will have a bounty of fresh produce!  I have pretty much taken on this endeavor by myself...occasionally my dear husband will run the cultivator through the rows to help with the weeds.  Right now, everything looks pretty clean and weed free and it seems to be growing every day!  Now, let me just say, it takes quite a bit of back breaking work to tend a garden and I'm getting a healthy dose of the business end of a hoe!  But I love watching everything put down roots and begin to grow and there are little butterflies flitting around everywhere.  So far, no varmits have invaded the fence and everything seems to be doing well!

So when I neglect to show you a pretty card, or some flowers I've just made, this is what is going on with me.  This and it seems a gazillion other chores that are now on my list!

Well, in an effort to keep this as short as possible I will not show any more pictures of my garden.  I'm off to visit others on the ever growing list at Julia's blog.  Come join in the madness.....I've shown you mine, now show me yours!

Your weather must be so much warmer than it is here in the Northwest. I just got my things planted so will be a long time until it looks like yours. We can tell you have been working hard in it - not a weed in sight!

I managed to pop over for a quick visit after all...
You're desk looks very tidy but then so does you're magnificent garden. I can feel you're pain looking at the size of the plot, but I feel healthier just by looking at it...never mind eating it's produce.
There's real satisfaction in planting, growing and using your own produce isn't there...well done!

You have a beautiful garden, makes me happy just looking at it! Mine is spread out all over my flower bed areas, but I am collecting lots of tomatoes and beans and the pea crop is looking tasty! Well worth the effort, I know. Your desk looks fine, just waiting for something new! Have a wonderful day my friend!

Oh the Grand Calibur!! Haven't tried one yet..
But the outside work is good for us and your GARDEN is lovely. It is a lot of physical work. I have to be out when the SUN is NOT to direct. And I overdid it Monday..squatting has taken a toll on my thigh muscles.
Happy WOYWW

A beautiful garden is a wonderful excuse for a clean desk! I am really having fun right now planting seeds and watching things grow, so it's nice to see someone else's gardening efforts. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #151

Your garden looks very healthy and you'll certainly enjoy harvesting the bounty! I've been doing more gardening than stamping lately, too. Mostly flowers, but I do have two tomato plants and some strawberries. My husband's always been the vegetable guy. Hoping for more of that after he retires.

Your garden looks beautiful! I love fresh veggies straight from the garden. Thanks to all the rain lately our garden is doing great and I hope it keeps going, I would love to get some things canned this year, especially tomatoes. Enjoy your garden creation and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

That is a lovingly, well tended garden Glenda, and one cannot be in two places at the same time (unfortunately). You can head back to your craft space for a well earned rest after all the back breaking work you've done.

I understand fully where you are coming from, when it comes to fresh produce, nothing like it, especially when it is home grown. Sadly I dont have time anymore but my dad always has a vegi garden, so I eat his. Good job even though it is back breaking. Thanks for sharing.

I so want to put in a garden! But, I will need raised beds (thank you, ground squirrels and gophers) and an enclosed area (top too!!) as we live in a area that is known for all sorts of critters!! (not that any measly little enclosed area would keep out the bears...sigh)
