What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday#329

Hello friends and welcome to my Wednesday WOYWW post where a bunch of crafters get together and blog about what we are doing in our world.  Julia  is the owner and creator of this wonderful idea and I have to admit I am totally addicted to this Wednesday get together!  Just photograph your space and blog about it and then link your blog post to Julia's blog. You can visit as many of the crafters as you like by following their links and it becomes this wonderful blog hop!  Julia has all the details posted on her blog so you can follow the link above to find out all about it!

I thought this morning I would start showing you how I store my dies.  It's sort of messy right now and nothing is in order but I can put my hand on almost any die I want, so it is working for me.  I've used CD and video cases with a bit of magnet inside to hold the dies in place.  Some of the Home Stores here carry a magnetic sheet used to cover a metal vent when you don't want heat or air coming through. These work wonderfully and are only a fraction of the cost if  you purchase in the hobby store.

Below is my mess this morning.  I could barely find a place to set my coffee cup down this morning!  I'm working on a waterfall page for my mini album and for some reason I really struggled trying to get it to lay correctly.  There was a miss measurement somewhere and I went through a couple of pieces of cardstock before I finally wrapped my head around it and got it right!  Sometimes I just can't seem to focus.  I'm going to blame it on old age and move on!

As you can see I have ink, bling, glue...lots of glue, some glitter, lace and string of pearls.  Once I finish covering the black cardstock with some of the pretty papers then I also get to decorate.  That's the fun part!

I hope I'm not too long winded this morning.  It's best to keep this short and sweet.  I'm hoping next week when you visit, I have a cleaner desk to show. Now I'm off to visit as many of the participating bloggers as I can.  Come join us!

Such a wonderful place for your dies...I need something like that...oh...no wall space left! Your desk is still not that messy, Glenda, but I know what a neat freak you are! Happy Wednesday!

Thank you for the tip about where to get magnetic sheets! I agree, they are way to expensive at the craft store. Your storage solution is awesome. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #40

I put my dies in the cd cases and the bigger ones in plastic envelopes. I don't have quite that many yet though. I buy my cds from tesco and the envelopes from Amazon - much cheaper than the craft stores, Have a great week,Soojay 16.

Your storage is looking great! Your desk is very 'creative' today :-). Do you have to push stuff to one side to get enough space in which to craft?! Thanks for dropping by :-)

I love to see how you're storing your dies. I'm working on reorganizing mine since I retired, but I get a little done and then have to do something else for a while. I need some of those magnetic sheets and will try to find some of the kind you mentioned.

I don't use CD cases I have a little book I made with dollar store magnetic sheets that I cut smaller that where used in a kids locker to write messages. they worked great for me so far. Plus I have a limited area that drives the hubby insane seeing it's a messy looking to him ALWAYS lol

Thanks for visiting, those CD cases are great for lots of things. I store my clear stamps in them also now if I'd just learn to label stuff. ! And I use the same magnetic sheets. I do have a rack that I hang a lot of my Spellbinders. Visual works quickest for me.
Spent the day baking, for church circle have 2 funerals Fri/Sat and setting up my new sewing machine, watching video on how to use it and realizing I'm old.
Happy Fall enjoy the fun days.

That's a good storage tip. (Although I myself don't have enough to worry about)
Well done for getting your waterfall page right! Can we see it when you've finished?
Have a good week,
