Good morning everyone and welcome! I'm here this morning to share a new card I have made using some pretty die cuts and handmade flowers. I have been playing around a bit with flowers lately. You know me, when I struggle for whatever reason...I make flowers!
I hand dyed ribbon to match the flowers and used some pretty Heartfelt Creations paper from the Raindrops on Roses collection.
This card will be displayed for sale shortly in my Etsy Shop! Go have a look around; you are always welcome!

Since it is the time of year for school to begin I decided on a "Back to School" card. I found the free owl image and printed and fussy cut then glued to my pretty die cut. I had the little wooden ruler pieces and the ink pen nib and just glued them together and attached them to the card front. My sentiment was typed and printed by me. I actually like the way it turned out!

August Heartfelt Creations Alumni Design Team Blog Hop...
Today my post is a bit different in that I am paying tribute to my sweet MagPie. She passed on Aug. 20 and I'm struggling to say the least. I don't usually share such personal news, but this blog was named after her way back when all this began in December of 2008 and she was a constant companion all these years. Her little bed always sat in the corner of my craftroom. Bella and I are grieving but I know she and I will become closer and hopefully have many years to enjoy each other. This card will be set aside as a keepsake to remind me of Maggie and all the special moments we shared.
One of the things I love about Heartfelt Creations is their products are so well thought out and compliment each other in every way. Their collections are timeless and this morning my card lets the beautiful paper do all the heavy lifting. I just used the gorgeous papers from the Posy Patch Paper collection and did some matting and some fussy cutting and called it a day. How simple is that? Colors, images and sentiments all match without having to think about it!
There will be a $25 gift certificate for one lucky person. You must visit as many of the participating designers as you can and leave a comment on each blog because we never know from which blog the winner will be chosen.
If you arrived here from: Amarilys Doria's blog you are right on track and your next stop will be: Emila van den Heuvel's blog.
You have until Midnight, August 28th. to leave a comment on as many of our blogs as you can. The winner of the $25 gift certificate will be announced on Saturday August 29th. Good luck to everyone!
Supply List:
Posy Patch Paper HCDP1 231
Cardstock
Ranger Distress Inks

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #324
Good Wednesday morning everyone! I'm here to share with you this morning a picture of my workdesk and be a part of the worldwide blog hop hosted by Julia Dunnit. Julia has everything listed on her blog giving all the details. It's so much fun to be able to visit everyone and see what is happening in their worlds each Wednesday. So why don't you come join us and be forewarned, this is very addictive!
This is a card I had been working on and just finished. I love how the color in between the embossing folder turned out. I think it looks very elegant. And of course I have to have Heartfelt Creations flowers! Lying about is lots of remnants; the inks I used, a bone folder, some die cut flower petals, lots of glue and a Spellbinders die. See the clothes pin on the white storage unit? I use that when I glue something and don't want to sit and hold it.
Well that's it for me this morning. I'm off to link this to Julia's blog and start my round of visits! Everyone have a wonderful Wednesday!

Over the Rainbow....
Hello everyone! Welcome to a brand new challenge over at The Sisterhood of Crafters. This one is hosted by: Sandi Lee.
In 1939 "The Wizard of Oz" premiered in Oconomowoc, WI. Judy Garland became famous for the movie's song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." The movie premiered in Hollywood on August 15. To celebrate...lets see a RAINBOW on your creation.
I Googled "Free Rainbow Papers" and this is what popped up! So I printed it off and got to looking around and I found this butterfly in a box with some other left over pieces from another project; it matches perfectly. I cut the base card to make a belly band and embossed it with a folder from Anna Griffin and slipped this pretty paper inside. Since I don't own a huge lot of sentiment stamps I typed and printed mine on white cardstock and matted it with some of the rainbow paper...perfect! On the inside of the card I just covered the exposed paper with another piece of cardstock to hide the belly band.
Now get busy and create something for this challenge and link it to The Sisterhood of Crafters. I can't wait to see what you make. Also while you are there have a look around at what the other designers have created for you. I promise you will be inspired!

It's Wednesday and time for me to share the top of my workdesk. If you would like to participate in this blog hop you can head over to Julia's blog and read all about it there! She should add a final rule and tell you how addictive it is! Each and every Wednesday we take a photo of our work space and blog about what we have going on...then link to Julia's blog and we can visit each other from there. I feel like it's not Wednesday if I don't get to travel around and have a good look into other people's lives and see what they have going on.
What a mess! I am working on a design team project and am trying to decide whether I want ribbon or some other kind of fiber to go on it. The card is hidden under the package of dies. Sorry to be a tease, but it is what it is. If you look closely you can see my trusty measuring tape in the silver case in the top of the picture. I use that thing each and every day!
Well I'm off to visit as many blogs as I can this morning. Come join us and show us your "stuff"!

Poppy Card.....
This card is made using scraps lying around my desk. Now and then it's nice to clean up and use the bits and pieces that normally would go into the trash and make something beautiful!
These die cuts are from Sue Wilson and I love the elegance of her dies. Of course the Poppy and design paper are from Heartfelt Creations. And a little bling never heart anything. Other than getting that little flower ready to go, everything else just fell onto the card. I had already stamped, die cut and colored the flower petals but they still needed to be shaped and glued together and of course the centers had to be added. Lots of die cuts make me a happy girl! This one will be going up into my Etsy shop today!
Well it's Monday again so shake off the weekend and get back to work!

Good morning everyone and welcome to another blog hop hosted by Julia Dunnit! Every Wednesday we take a photo of our workspace and blog about it and then link to Julia's blog. Once that is done we can visit each other and see what is happening in our lives!
I have been so busy this summer...I'm sure part of that is because I'm getting older and slowing down some but none the less, I have been just bogged down with the garden and the yard work! I had closed up shop in my Etsy shop over the summer and have begun to think about opening it again. The last couple of days I have been doing some listing and pulling out cards that were stored away. So that is what is here on my desk this morning.
This is not my favorite thing to do but if you intend to sell anything, this is the process. I know, it's a total hot mess, right? I have to inspect each card for everything. Is it still clean...does it have an envelope...can it mail in an envelope? If not, then it needs a cello bag to snuggle down into and so on. The best part of the process is I get to sit on my behind and rest some more.
Now why don't you head over to Julia's blog and say hello and join in the fun! She has all the details listed there and we would love to have you be one of us!
