WOYWW #291

Good morning everyone!  It's New Year's Eve and we are getting ready to jump right into a brand new year!  I always get so excited at what awaits us...new turns in our journey!  So I decided instead of being too busy to participate today I would suit up and show up for this worldwide blog hop hosted by Julia Dunnit. You can visit her blog and read all about the rules and regulations for this blog hop and hopefully you will decide to become one of us.  I've totally become addicted and if I have to miss a Wednesday, I feel like something is terribly wrong.  You see I love getting to snoop around in other people's houses and look at their storage and how they do things.

Today I'm still just trying to get past Christmas and there isn't a lot going on here.  I'm trying to get back in the swing of things and when I am not feeling too creative, I make flowers.  So flower's it is!  I love Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies for making my flowers and this morning I'm using the Arianna Blooms collection and die.  I stamped with Desert Sand by Memento because I don't want anything to fade when I add color and I think it also gives the petals a very delicate look.

In the upper left hand corner you can see the corners of my new Spellbinders dies  (Majesty)  So delicate and very difficult to get out of the die, even with using wax paper.  I've heard that sometimes using two layers of wax paper can make this an easier process so that is next on my agenda.

Well that is it for me this morning.  I'm off to visit as many of the participating blogs as I can.  See you next year!

Flowers, I can't wait to see the finished project. I love the new dies, but I do have to use to layers of wax paper and roll my Tool in One over the die cuts to get them out. Have a Happy New Year. #37

Beautiful flower stamps and dies, I love using these.
Now!! the new SB Dies are a right pain. I have tried the two layers of wax paper ... no good. Rubbed them with Tumble Drier sheets as well as soap ... still no good. Think they will be relegated to the back of the Die Box.
Wishing you and yours A Very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.
May 2015 bring you everything you hope for

Those flowers are gorgeous, Glenda, so pretty and delicate! I agree with stamping them in that subtle colour, you can allow the flowers to develop out of that :-)
Thanks for the lovely comments and support this year, it's been much appreciated!

I love the arianna blooms set Soooo much! One of my favourites and the first time I bought die and stamps - certainly makes the whole process a bit faster! Have fun and good luck with the double wax paper - HNY Cindy #32

Can't wait to see your finished project! Happy New Year to you and yours. I have the Tool N One and it works great at helping release the tiny objects that used to be left in my dies. It would be a wonderful idea to try for Patricia before she gives up on the gorgeous dies. I don't have this set yet but hope to soon.

Good morning Glenda, I always love to see what you're working on cuz I know it's going to turn into an amazing project ... Your flowers are out of this world gorgeous. I found a tip that works so great for getting those intricate dies to work like magic. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oCKaBy116v0 I just watched a video how this lady uses her cardstock to cut her intricate die, leaves it in the die then uses cheap dryer sheets to run it thru a second time & the die cut is beautifully cut & pops out easily & every bit of the card scrap bits are stuck to the dryer sheet. I tried it & it works wonderfully AND your die cuts smell wonderful to boot !!! I went right down to the dollar store & Walmart & bought several boxes of the cheapest dryer sheets they had. A dollar a box ...I only use it on the dies that are difficult to get out. What a time saver... hugs, Janie

Happy New Year my friend! Your flowers are ALWAYS gorgeous (wish you lived closer, I'd be over for coffee & a lesson... lol). I just purchased the new Spellbinder 'Royal Love' die and had the same problem. Need to give that dryer sheet trick a try ...
Can't wait to see what beautiful creation comes from 'these' flowers! May 2015 be awesome for you!
