Do know how hard this is to photograph? Of course my brilliant photography skills are shining through this morning. (Being sarcastic) I also put a layer of netting in there as well.
The paper I used for the flower is from Prima (Almanac Collection) The background paper I chose is also from the same collection. The frame and the leaves are Marianne Creatables dies that I have had for awhile.
Here is a closeup but it still doesn't do it justice. This is one of those cards that you just need to see in person. The lovely piece of lace under the flower is a Heartfelt Creations die called Lace Border. I never tire of using this one!

This is very pretty Glenda. I love the little black frame..Your flower is so unique. And burlap, I think is hard to work with. The smell for one bothers me but this does look like an open weave which would be a bit of a challenge.

Gorgeous Glenda! I love the colors and that beautiful flower! I have a secret for working with burlap. I "paint" the edges with a bit of Matte Multi-medium to keep them from unraveling after I get just the look I want. I learned that trick from Lynne Forsythe. When I want to die-cut it, I just give a light coat over the whole piece before cutting.

Bummer on the unraveling, but WOW on the creation! Oh, the warm, wonderful colors and those fabulous flowers! The paper and die cuts and glitter all leave me gasping. Your photos look awesome. If this is not up to snuff, then I would probably fall over if I saw it in person. WOW!

Fabulous in the pics so I know it's even more so IRL! All burlap tends to fray easily. I've tried the matte medium with some success (as mentioned above). p.s. love the browns!

I would love to see it in person, because it is gorgeous here. When I work with burlap, I always back it first with a medium weight iron on interfacing like Wonder Under. It only takes a few seconds to apply and makes all the difference in the world. You can then die cut it, paint it, spritz it, etc and the raveling effect is greatly reduced.
This is gorgeous. I love the colors here. And you got some great tips for working with burlap that all of us can benefit from. Oh and btw, I think your photos are great.

Beautiful card and the layered flower you made is gorgeous!! That large weave burlap does fray because there is nothing holding it together. You could brush on a thin layer of matte medium.
