What's on Your WorkDesk? Week #161

Good morning everyone!  Happy 4th of July and welcome to WOYWW!  I'm here to show you my messy desk and some of the things I have going on.  I'm sure you are wondering what in the world is going on with me, that I should take a picture of my mess.  Well head on over to Julia's Blog and have a look around.  She is the creator of this madness.  We all take a picture of our desk and post it to our blog and then we go to Julia's blog and link back to our post.  That way we can all visit each other and see what we have going on.   Now, I have to tell you right after I took this picture, I did a good cleaning so I could be ready to start on my next project.  Not a lot going on here this week.  I've been making a few flowers and working with making a few cameos to go on some of my projects.

You can see the left over bleach from last week and a mould for making the cameo and stacked up are the bottles containing the putty for making moulds.  You can see my craft knife, some flower petals, my stylus and some paint.  Then the little tube of Rub N Buff used on the cameo.  I've just been playing.  This is what I do when I have a hard time being creative.  For some reason everything has been difficult lately.  So I just try different techniques and make more and more flowers.  Did I tell you I love making flowers?  So when you are struggling, what do you do?

So now that you have seen my little messy desk, I'm off to visit all of you and see what you are doing.  I love visiting and snooping around a little and seeing what you have going on.  I've found lots of creative ideas, storage ideas and just plain wonderful clutter!

I hope your 4th of July is a wonderful one and that you get to spend this holiday with family and friends.

Hi there. Nice to pop in and see your creative world this week. I won't stay long; don't want to give you my cold! Hope you have a good creative week though. I make backgrounds when I'm bored and don't know what to do.

Well Glenda, when I am struggling I often bury my head. Bit of an ostrich really.
Thanks for sharing your desk with us - do I spy a Grand Calibur?

I am with you Glenda, make flowers, I love flowers and made a heap just last month and posted it on my blog. I think I made enough roses to last me a year LOL. It got me back into the swing of things again, also the lovely ladies on here. Your desk is not messy and you also have some creative storage ideas too.

Hi Glenda, well, making flowers and cameos looks like crafting to me. When I'm stuck I get out my box of inspiration - boxes actually, one for scrapping and one for cardmaking ... they are full of ideas I've collected from magazines over the years - then I usually get too many ideas buzzing around in this old head of mine :)) Hope your mojo returns soon. I agree you always have a clean "messy" desk, but then I know you are always cleaning! As for making flowers, your flowers are always so beautiful and it is from all the practicing and your tender care. Have a wonderful July 4th, Glenda!

Hi Glenda, we obviously both love flowers, if I am ever unsure about what to make I look at old magazines and that usually inpires me. I love what you have done with the cameo, I have some that I bought but did not know what to do with them - I do now so thank you! Thank you also for wanting to follow my blog, I really appreciate your support. Anne x #49

Now that is a creative desk Glenda not messy at all. I am one of those people that believe you can't create without creating a little mess along the way. Hope you have a Happy 4th of July. Thanks for visiting my blogs and leaving well wishes. Vickie #36

Flowers, Cameos and bleach! Not sure I'd be safe with the latter. I tend to tidy and sort stuff when struggling with my mojo. It is amazing what you find which hasn't seen the light of day for a while. Thanks for stopping by BJ#18

Sorry i'm late, don't know where yesterday went.
Don't worry, we all get craft moments
C - cant
R - remember
A - a
F - flipping
T - thing
One day I will be on fire and the next nothing, it's frustrating but it passes even though at the time it doesn't feel like it will xx hang in there and i hope your mojo returns to full strength soon xx

Lovely photos from your 4th celebration, I actually made a patriotic card yesterday, thought it was about time as I'm been in the lovely country 18 years! We topped out at 101F yesterday so after going to the lake very early I stayed indoors most of the rest of the day and got a bit more organizing done. A clean desk helps my mojo, I don't like it if things get too messy, stops my creative juices flowing!

It doesn't look too messy, Glenda. I know, just wait till you make a card. Love that cute caddy you've got holding your stipple brushes. When my mojo runs off I usually just color. I'm always happy to color. Then I wind up with quite a few images to make into cards when I feel a little more creative.

Hmmm...when I get in a crafting funk I like to dig through my crafting supplies, randomly taking out things I think I could use like right now...anyways, I will do that until I have a nice mess that inspires me! :) Also, a few weeks ago when WOYWW had the ATC exchange and I made my first ATC's, I found making them to be extremely helpful in getting me going creatively. Hope you get your "mojo" back soon!
