Just Playing.....

It has been really too hot to do much of anything and I find my MoJo is slipping away.  So after seeing a video posted on Pinterest about making cameos, I decided to give this a try.  I had seen this video on YouTube awhile back and had purchased all the supplies but just hadn't tried the technique.  So here you go.  My very first cameo...now I realize she is a long way from perfect and I'm hoping I improve as I go along.  She is definitely a little rough around the edges and I realize the colors are not making me happy, but it is a start.  I would love to see this with a sage background or navy blue and then it would make my lady stand out better.  I definitely needing some tools for filing the edges so I will be looking around for those.  But it is a beautiful image and I love the Rub n Buff on the raised part.  I used Antique White and it looks so pretty in real life.  I'm definitely going to keep trying because I can see these on the front of cards that I will be making.

So what have you been doing these terrible hot days?  Being indoors is definitely a good time to play unless you are like me and totally losing the urge to do anything.  Keep your MoJo locked away so she doesn't slip out the side door!

I guess that is it for me this morning...no card,  just the promise of things to come.  Come back and visit with me on Wednesday and I will show you my messy desk with WOYWW!  Until then....try and keep crafting!

Glenda I think this is a beautiful cameo. Looks like a very fun project and I'm looking forward to them on your cards. We have had such a cool Spring and it is still cool for being summer. Hope it cools down there soon.

WOW Glenda...this is fabulous! I find no fault with it at all but we are our own worst critics, right? We left 104 degree heat in N.C. yesterday and came to Folly Beach, SC to spend a few days with our daughter. It isn't quite as bad right on the beach because of the ocean breeze but it is very humid....hoping for a cool down soon!

Your cameo is beautiful Glenda, I don't think it is rough at all and that die cut goes perfectly with her.

Wow! First attempt you say?! Turned out pretty darn good if ask me! :D FL is actually kinda cool compared to the rest of you....95 today and low humidity. The weather has really been messed up lately and I think that affects Mojo? I'm off to find that cameo video!

It's gorgeous! Beautiful medallion and your crafting of this leaves no room for improvement that I can see. My mojo is zapped and it's not even hot here, so I have no excuse.

You have not lost your mojo..it took a rest and returned with a new direction. Love the Cameo, which is my favorite jewelry...Hope to try this technique one day in the future.
Keep loosing your mojo and finding something new.
