Two pictures from different angles and different light; but still showing what I have going on. I am playing with the bleaching technique and I made a sunflower image for a card front. I used dark brown cardstock and it bleached out to a pretty pale yellow...gorgeous! I'm going to try and use a colored pencil on the leaves to give some green color also. All you do is stamp and emboss an image and then use regular household bleach and brush it inside the embossed lines of the stamp. Very simple but it gives such a gorgeous look to this image. I will share the finished card in a couple of days! The green lights you see in the upper left hand corner are not from aliens...it is my internet modum doing it's thing and giving me access to the internet. When those lovely green lights go out, you suddenly find yourself all alone and the window to the world is gone to parts unknown. So I'm always comforted to see those little lights flashing happily as I sit at my desk and play! Also my cup of morning coffee and some distress inks, embossing ink and powder, my embossing buddy, some clear stamps, and the little jar is holding my bleach. Just a lot of little things needed for this card. Once my card is finished I will clear everything and start again. I'm one of those people who has to have at least a small space clear and ready.
Well that is all for me this morning. I am off to visit and see what you all have going on this week. I'm hoping to get some storage ideas. I'm always in need of extra storage and love to see how others solve this problem!

Thanks for sharing the bleach technique! Ive not tried that particular one. Have you tried stamping with bleach... put some in a shallow plate and dip your stamp into and then stamp on dark paper. Give a nice watery bleached effect. I'll have to try your way soon!
haven't tried this yet but your directions are nice and clear so perhaps I swill give it a go.
Good luck with your card!

There is so many people in the world of WOYWW now. I am doing what Paul Suggested to do and visiting everyone with the same last number as me. So this week I have been visiting everyone with a 9 in there last number. Sandy :)

Hi Glenda, thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday. I am so far behind this week. A couple of 12 hour days at work and I am beat. But, I am trying to play catch up this weekend. Since it will be over 100 degrees until Monday, I will be inside playing. That bleach technique is so cool. I really am going to have to try that. #35
Hi Glenda,
I can't wait to see that card with the bleach effect. Do you have to be careful when using the bleach?
I'm really late this week (yesterday was my birthday so I was out shopping)! I do have some fun stuff to work with. Bought some bling, that I normally don't do, that I thought would match my inspiration bag. I'm hoping to have a success!!!

I know what you mean about those comforting green lights. My internet went out earlier today and it really threw me. All I wanted was to do a little blog visiting while dinner was cooking. Is that too much to ask? Sheesh! I unplugged the connection and then plugged it back in and it was fixed. Probably just a coincidence.
happy WOYWW! that sounds like a very interesting technique, using bleach.
thanks for sharing!
