Golden Roses....

Good morning everyone!  If you are wondering where I have been trying to get through the fog of an upper respiratory infection...I'm on the 9th day and I might just be coming around.  I have laid on the sofa all these days and totally neglected my blog.  I'm so sorry but I just didn't have it in me to sit here and communicate.  Also right in the middle of everything my Internet service went down and I had to muddle through the "try this" stuff to finally figure out my modem was shot!  So here I am with a new outlook on life, new modem, blinking happily on my desk, and ready to visit once again.  I didn't realize how much I depend on the Internet these days.  It is my window to the world and I felt stripped without it.

My card today is one I made for Heartfelt Creations a week ago and I'm just now sharing it with you.

The Heartfelt Creations Products Used: HCD 716 Layered Elegant Swirl Die, HCPC 3406 Botanical Floral 1 PreCut Set, HCPC 3407 Botanical Floral 2 PreCut Set, HCPC 3405 Leaf Medley PreCut Set.

My Card is 5" X 7"   I made the card base out of watercolor paper and then cut piece of watercolor paper and ran through the Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Attach to the card.  I cut the the die to create a circle and then used a Spellbinders Standard Circle die to create the gold piece to go behind the circle medallion.  I stamped and embossed the rose petals and then shaped them and formed into the roses.  If you dampen the paper just a little it allows you to curl the edges and make the flower look like it is real.  I stamped the leaves and cut out and placed them around the roses to create a sort of spray.  And of course I used shimmer sprays to spray everything and give a gold shine.

This card could be used for many different occasions and I love how it turned out.  If you would like any of these stamps you can go to the Heartfelt Creations Website and have a look around.  I know you will find something you just can't live without.  Their stamps are a quality product and you will not be disappointed!

Well that is about it for me this morning...I'm going back and rest a little more.  Have a wonderful day and if you are able to....."Breathe"!

What a beautiful card! So much gorgeous detail, but the colour scheme still gives it a simple, unfussy look!

Oh, my! Look at this incredible beauty! It's like a breath of fresh air in the middle of all the Christmas cards. I'm sorry about your illness. When you get down it's best to just take care of yourself.
