Good morning friends.  Wednesday has rolled around again and it's time for me to share another Heartfelt Creations project with you!  I always love our Wednesdays together because I can share something I love! This card front from the Wildwood Cottage Collection just makes me smile; did you notice the little ladybug on the flower petal of the flower the little Darling is picking?

Make card base and cover with one of the sweet little card fronts.  I added glitter to the Little Darling’s wings to make them look more iridescent.  Set the card aside to dry. Next using watercolor paper I stamped cut out and colored the grass, the flowers and the sweet little bird.  I added some glitter to the bird and the grass and set them aside to dry.  Shape and glue the flower petals together and add the prills to the center.  I used dimensional tape to the back of the grass and the little bird to give them more dimension.  I decided where I wanted the flowers to be and glued them down.  Now find the tag on the paper and use the Luggage and Tags die to cut it out.  I used dimensional tape on the back to pop it up some.  Next I glued the half pearl to the tag.

Other Supplies:  Tag, Cuttlebug Folder Foundry, Victorian Velvet, Chipped Sapphire and Frayed Burlap Distress Inks, Scor-Tape, Seam Binding, Lace, Dimensional Tape, Canson Watercolor Paper

Instructions:

My tag is 3 1/8 X 6 1/4.  Cut a piece of the paper collection and distress the edges then glue to the front of the tag.  Next run the tag through your die cut machine and embossing folder.  Use Victorian Velvet ink to rub over the embossed part of the tag.  Next adhere a piece of lace to the bottom of the tag using Scor-Tape.  Cut a piece of seam binding and wet it and scrunch then set aside to dry.  Stamp, cut out and color the flowers and leaves and then shape them.  Next I glued the Prills into the center of the flowers and set them aside to dry.  Stamp, cut out and color the bird on watercolor paper. Then I found a sentiment piece on the paper and cut it out and edged it with the Chipped Sapphire ink and used dimensional tape to pop it up.  I also used dimensional tape behind the little bird to give him some more dimension as well.  Next I tied a piece of the seam binding through the hole of the tag and I also tied a bow and used Scor-Tape to adhere it to the top of the lace.  The only thing left is to decide where you want the flowers and leaves placed and glue them into place.

I decided on the Flipfold Insert I wanted to use and thought about the way I wanted it to come together.  I began by deciding where I wanted the magnets to hold it closed and glued the magnets down using the Designer Dries Clear Glue. I cut the two pieces of the paper collection to fit the top of the Flipfold and then used the dies to cut the paper so it matched the scallops in the piece.  Next cover all the areas inside and out of all the folds and then I began to add the waterfall pages to the album.  I used two rows of Scor-Tape to each one because I wanted that to be strong so they could withstand a lot of use.  I did not do a lot of decorating on the waterfall because I didn’t want the extra thickness and I also wanted to leave it for photos and journaling.  I did find there is a lot of real estate in a small foot print.  I made pockets for the inside of the front panels using black cardstock and the Fleur Borders and Pockets Die then I made tags to fit in them. One of the tags has a place to tie a string so I used the metallic string for that. The final decorating done on the inside of the card is on the front of the fold down page and I made a pocket there and used the Border Basics Dies to add more interest.  I also used the bling on a string to add some interest.  I also cut out a tag from the paper collection and glued it to the pocket.  I made a large tag for the pocket and used the Ornate Borders and Pockets die to top it off. I also glued some bling on a string down the left side of the tag.  Now that the inside of the album is finished it is time to decorate the outside. I stamped, cut out and colored the cute little darling, fence, flowers, leaves and those adorable birds using watercolor paper. Everything is colored with Memento ink and Distress Inks and a brush.  Once dry I added some glitter to to the fairy wings. I used dimensional tape behind the birds to make them look fat and then I added glitter here and there just for some interest.  Shape the flowers and add the prills to the centers.   Arrange everything the way you like it and glue it all down.  The album is ready to go.

My card measures 6 X 6.  Make card base using white cardstock and cover with one of the card fronts from the paper collection.  Cut out the sentiment from the paper and use dimensional tape to adhere it to the top of the card.  Next I stamped, cut out and colored the flowers using the watercolor paper.  Dampen the back and shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit.  Add the yellow pollen to the center and set the flowers aside to dry.  I stamped the little darling onto watercolor paper and used a brush and the distress inks.  Then I painted the wings with the Iridescent Medium and when that was dry I outlined the wings with glitter.  I stamped the fence section and the wheel barrow and colored using the distress inks.  I used dimensional tape behind the fence and once that was glued down I glued the wheel barrow at the edge of the fence.  Next I used dimensional tape behind the little darling and began to decide where I wanted the flowers to be placed. Once I knew where I wanted them, I began to glue them into place.  The card is complete.

My card is 5 1/2 X 5 1/2.  Make card base and cover with a piece of the paper collection. Stamp, emboss, cut out and color the flower petals.  Shape how you like and glue to make a rose. Add the prills to the centers and set aside to dry.   Tie fibers into a loopy bow and hot glue down.  Place the roses around the fiber and glue them into place.  Next I used the Designer Dries Clear Glue and outlined some of the lines on the paper and used the prills to add some interest.  I found a pretty oval piece in one of the card fronts and used the die to cut out.  I added prills to the flowers to add some dimension and interest and then I used dimensional tape to adhere to the front of the card.

Happy New Year!

Good morning everyone.  I'm here to wish you a very Happy New Year from my house to yours!  Bella and I spent a nice quiet evening at home in front of the fireplace.   I'd also like to take a quick look back at some of my most favorite projects for 2016. Of course a photo of Bella is the beginning of my favorites!

As you can see, I'm all about the flowers, birds, butterflies and of course Bella!
2016 was a wonderful year and I'm looking forward to 2017.  I can't wait to see what happens next!
