January Craft Hoarders Blog Hop

Good morning friends and welcome to the January Craft Hoarders Blog Hop!  I didn't receive any new "stash" presents for Christmas, but I'm ashamed to say I did check out a couple of sales!  I'm really not ashamed at all!  I just wanted to make you think I am.  Let's face it...once a Hoarder, always a Hoarder!  A girl needs cardstock and bling and new dies; these are all necessities right?

This morning I'm sharing a card I made using the Graphic 45 Botanical Tea paper pack I've been hoarding for awhile now.  I used a tiny bit of the paper before but just couldn't bring myself to use more!  So I decided it was time to pull it out and just go for it.  When I first cut into a page I sigh and  hope I won't "NEED" this page for something important tomorrow!    My card is just a lot of layers and some fussy cutting and a torn page here and there and I filled the torn part with purchased flowers from long ago before I made flowers of my own!  I used dimensional tape to pop up the sign, butterflies, teapot and the bird.  I edged everything with Walnut Stain Distress Ink to give it more dimension.

You should be coming here from Jacquie Southas  blog  After visiting me, hop over to Amber's blog next.  To start at the beginning of the hop, and for the full list of Bloggers, go to Gloria's Blog!  Please follow along the hop for lots of inspiration!

Ohhhh, but it's so beautiful! I have this pack, too, and have a hard time using it. When the papers are double sided I worry that I'll wish I had the other side later. Silly, I know, when I have so much. Love all the distressing and the flowers tucked into the torn "V". Just gorgeous, Glenda!

What a beautiful card, Glenda - such gorgeous papers, and a lovely distressed vintage look. It's really gorgeous. I know what you mean about being reluctant to use papers - I had a paper stack once that I didn't use for about 2 years but kept getting it out and stroking it - and then putting it away again!

Thank you for your lovely welcome back, and for missing me! You are very kind. Thank you also for your kind words about my art - it's a gentle return of my mojo but hopefully things will pick up as time goes on. I'm certainly feeling better now, although still suffering peripheral neuropathy in my hands and feet as a result of the chemo. I'm certainly less tired, and enjoying being back in a more normal routine again.

Happy WOYWW,

Love the color combo and so many pretty layers. I thought I commented on this a few days back but didn't see where it appeared. I'd like that bird and the butterflies in my backyard today....that might mean this horrid weather day was spring.
