WOYWW #333

Good Wednesday morning friends and welcome to my busy desk this morning. Each Wednesday a bunch of us crafters from all over the world get together and photograph our desks and blog about it then we link to Julia's blog.  Julia is the master mind of this lovely hop and she allows us to overtake her blog each Wednesday!  If you would love to join us, just head over to her blog and read all the rules and regulations posted there!

I went over to Sevierville, TN last weekend for a craft show and Heartfelt Creations had a booth.  We rounded the corner and there was a huge amount of people just jammed into this one little space.  I've never such a rush to one booth in my life.  All the other booths had 2 or 3 people and there was standing room only at Heartfelt!  Well I had been eyeing these butterflies since their debut but was reluctant to purchase them because I wasn't sure about the sizes.  So once I saw them in real life I snatched them up and ran with them!  Also bought a container of glitter and a tub of Gala Glitz in gold.  Love that stuff!

In the front of the picture is a new die I purchased from Crafter's Companion to use in making some of my Christmas cards.  It's a beautiful angel and is such an intricate die so you can get an idea of  how gorgeous it really is!  I'm not going into too much detail as I'm going to be showing you a finished card a bit later here on my blog.  Now onto the last new item sitting on my desk.  A bottle of Winsor & Newton water colour Iridescent Medium.  I heard somewhere this is an amazing double for the Wink of Stella everyone is raving about.  I purchased wink of Stella and do love it actually, but I also have this large bottle of Iridescent Medium sitting in my closet of shame collecting dust from several years ago.  I had forgotten about it and had to do a bit of digging to find it.  I gave it a good shake and poured a bit out and used a brush to paint onto a piece of cardstock and then I painted Wink of Stella right beside it.  Well Wink of Stella is probably the more glittery product, but I have to tell you this Iridescent Medium is a very close second.  Since I have this huge bottle of this product sitting on the shelf, I will be using it instead.  Trying to live on a fixed income can present it's challenges so I'm always trying to find ways to save money.  I'm sorry I can't give credit for this information but I really cannot remember where I heard this.

Now I'm off to visit the bloggers in the blog hop!

I'm not very good in big crowds so tend to stay away from stalls like that. However, it was worth you doing it as that angel is really beautiful. I bet you'll use that loads of times!

Wow. That is one complex die! Enjoy using it. What a lot of fun was had at the show. Well done. I think I must have been absent from the crafting fraternity - Wink of Stella?
Take care. God bless.

That is a fabulous die cut piece you have on your desk - so intricate.
As for HC - well, they just do the most beautiful flower dies and what a lovely family they are. I am so glad they are popular, they deserve to do well.
Hugs, Neet 1 - thanks for visiting me earlier xx

The dies look amazing and I am really looking forward to seeing how you use the angel. Good information sharing on the iridescent medium... I have a bottle as well and use it whenever I want a bit of shimmer. No need for wink of stella. Hope you have a lovely week.

Hi Glenda,
Those dies are definitely very intricate! Glad you liked the size of the butterflies and ran with them! I've never been to a vendor show and when I hear about them (especially CHA) I'm glad I've never made it to one. I have stuff all over the house!!!

Happy belated WOYWW,
Thank you for visiting me already!

Ohhhh, I can't wait to see what you do with that angel die. Gorgeous! And the butterflies! I love butterflies any time of year. There are so many new products coming out all the time it's impossible to keep up. Then we tend to forget or overlook all the "must haves" that are sitting in our Closets of Shame. Yes, we all have one of those.
