WOYWW #322

Good morning everyone and welcome to another blog hop hosted by Julia Dunnit!  Every Wednesday we take a photo of our workspace and blog about it and then link to Julia's blog.  Once that is done we can visit each other and see what is happening in our lives!

I have been so busy this summer...I'm sure part of that is because I'm getting older and slowing down some but none the less, I have been just bogged down with the garden and the yard work!  I had closed up shop in my Etsy shop over the summer and have begun to think about opening it again.  The last couple of days I have been doing some listing and pulling out cards that were stored away. So that is what is here on my desk this morning.

This is not my favorite thing to do but if you intend to sell anything, this is the process.  I know, it's a total hot mess, right?  I have to inspect each card for everything.  Is it still clean...does it have an envelope...can it mail in an envelope? If not, then it needs a cello bag to snuggle down into and so on.  The best part of the process is I get to sit on my behind and rest some more.

Now why don't you head over to Julia's blog and say hello and join in the fun! She has all the details listed there and we would love to have you be one of us!

Hi Glenda, I can identify with the feeling of slowing down. I've been a terrible crafter and blogger this last six months and I've been putting it down to age too :) Your cards are beautiful, though I wouldn't describe your desk as a hot mess, it looks fine to me. Good luck with the reopening of your shop. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #37

I opened an etsy account but have never had the guts to try sell anything on it! Mostly cos here in Africa the post is so unreliable.

I think the whole selling thing sounds like a bunch of work! I'm sure getting some $$ back from your craft is well worth it though. Those cards look great! Enjoy sorting, or try to at least. Judy #49

It's not your age, it's just the time of the year when there is so much to do. Hope you have a great woyww and happy crafting when you get the chance, Angela x 19

I know what you mean about the garden taking much of your time. Between cleaning my house, mowing, watering my herbs, etc., I spend as much time outside or at least out of my office and craft rooms as I do in them. That's why I'm so late visiting today.

I'm not much of a card maker. Yours are gorgeous. I was impressed. I was thinking about opening an etsy shop, but you have to work at it, and not just make the art to sell, but photograph, list, and ship it, too. Seems rather daunting to me. And the stuff I make would require heavy packing, so that would also be a big consideration. I hope your cards sell well, because they are certainly gorgeous.

Happy belated WOYWW from #2.

Hello dear friend! I'm glad you have taken the time to sit a spell and craft ... your cards are always SO beautiful and inspirational! I totally agree with the 'old age stinks' phrase because with my crafting cave being in the basement, going up & down these steps becomes more difficult with each passing day! Uuugh! LOL ... but at least I'm getting my exercise! At least that's what I keep telling myself! LOL! I ALWAYS look forward to visiting your blog to see what you are up to ... keep up the AMAZING work ... and I commend you on the Etsy store ... I haven't gotten up the nerve to give that a go yet! I'll keep doing my Fall craft shows and hope for the best! HUGS

That's a really nice thing you've got going. You get to build camaraderie with fellow bloggers, while giving us a good glimpse of your work process. This could also help you build hype and anticipation for a new product. Speaking of which, I think you should reopen your Etsy shop. Those are some great looking cards; would be a shame not to share them. And I really like that you consider how you will ship them, in order to keep them presentable when they arrive to their destination. Cheers!

Beautiful cards Glenda ... I do love the paper rosettes and think they always make such an impact on a card or project! Good luck selling your cards ... I am not brave enough to even attempt it and whenever I get asked to make a card for someone I never charge them! Thanks for popping by my blog earlier ... it was lovely having you visit. Love Debbie x
