WOYWW #311

Good morning everyone...come on in and sit a spell!  I'm here to show the top of my work space this morning and then share it in the world wide get together over at Julia's blog.  All we do is take a photo of our space and blog about it, then link it on Julia's blog and you are ready to go.  We can visit each other and see what we have going on in our world!  It is so much fun and I love looking in on all of you!

You can see I have been using the push back technique here.  Problem is there is about a 4" space between the back of my desk and the wall; can you guess what is going to happen?  I have been down on my knees many times looking to fish something out from behind my desk that fell off!  While I'm there...on my knees...I usually try and take advantage of it and have a little heart to heart with my Lord !

I've been digging for my butterflies and seem to be obsessed with butterflies these days.  I love butterfly stamps, butterfly papers, butterfly die cuts!  They seem to be used a lot these days so I'm right on point!  See the spool of lilac colored ribbon under the butterflies?  I will be using that on a card that will be featured soon!  I had to do a bit of retail therapy in order to purchase that ribbon so it all worked out!

Well that's it for me!  I don't want to get too long winded this morning.  I'm off to visit Julia's blog and get started visiting as many of you as I can!

I have just found you whilst visiting Patricia's blog - summercrafts.blogspot.com
Your photo has made me smile My desk is always done with the push back technique and I'm forever rescuing stuff that's fallen down the back I've mislaid a pair of scissors that I used last week and now can't find them I've looked down the back No luck so far!

Can you ever have enough butterflies? You are not on your own having lots of them. Why is it that the most important thing you need right now is always the thing that's disappeared under the desk? I know just how you feel.

I don't think butterflies will ever leave the fashion of crafters..they are so utterly versatile and lovely. Ah the push back technique...I have a bespoke desk..Mr Dunnit put a short retaining 'wall' around the three sides of my desk so that within reason, I don't push much off. Take heart, its not failsafe!

I'm a glutton for butterflies too, especially groups of them on layouts.

I think spring reflects the love of beautiful butterflies. I saw a neat tin one in a store, kind of the Memorial theme of red, white and blue. Would have been nice at the cemetary, but now we have people stealing from there. I've done well on my desk for size to work on. Had lots of birthday cards to do and finishing up ATC's . Have a great week. We are on a warm up for Thurs/Fri and I hope I can get out and walk. Enjoy

Those look like Hero Arts butterflies. I think I still have them, too. Gorgeous die cut you've got there. I do have a back on my hutch-top desk, but I still drop things that automatically go to the hardest to reach spot.

I can relate to the pushback method, mainly because my table sits in the middle of the room. I've been known to let things fall, too.

Thanks for the earlier visit and happy day after WOYWW from #1.

Oh yes ... I love butterflies too and have a clear box filled with different die cut ones of different colors so I have them ready and at my fingertips when that little corner of my card/project calls for one! I can't wait to see the finished product ... always so much fun to see the bits & pieces at the start then be surprised by whatever the gorgeous finishing creation might be. With purple being my favorite color, the use of that lilac ribbon is going to make my jaw drop I'm sure! Happy Day to you my friend!
