A Quick And Simple Card...Packs a Punch!

Good morning everyone and welcome...come on in and have a cup of coffee or tea and lets visit a spell.  It has been a super busy week for me as my little Maggie wasn't feeling well and those of you who know me know that she is the namesake of my blog.  She started with me way back when I started my blog and we were crafting in my laundry room.  She had a bed in the corner of the room, thus the name Magpie's Corner.  Just a little tidbit from long ago.  We have come a long way since then and have tried to grow old gracefully together.

This morning I'm here to share a quick and simple card I just literally threw together yesterday afternoon!  I  used Heartfelt Creations Birds and Blooms Paper Collection and just added a bow and a tiny bit of glitter and "Boom" it's finished!  I started by making the 4.25" X 5.5" card base with white card stock and then cut a piece of the pretty paper to layer over the base.  Next I cut out one of the card fronts featured in the paper stack and stamped the sentiment.  Then I layered it over the other paper after I had tied a pretty bow.  Next came a bit of glitter on the butterflies and the centers of the little flowers and that's finished!  I have to say, I love the colors and I also love the fact I had ribbon in my drawer that matched perfectly.  How's that for no fuss?  I tied that pretty little double bow with my new Bow It All V2.  Love it!

Now I'm off to spend some time with my blog buddies and say hello on this Friday morning.  Hope you have a great weekend planned!

Beautiful card! I hope Maggie is doing better. I agree with Darlene above - I wish we lived close enough to share a cup of coffee together and I could definitely learn a lot from your creative brain! I enjoy reading your blog and appreciate all the tips you give. Sending prayers for your little fur-baby.

It looks so dimensional it's hard to believe the simplicity! I actually thought it was a shaker at first. Sooooo pretty! Love the colors, too. I hope Maggie's okay, poor baby. I wouldn't be able to concentrate on crafting either if one of mine were under the weather.
