WOYWW #296

Good morning and here we are again on Wednesday morning and I'm showing you a photo of my desk top.  Each Wednesday a bunch of crafters get together and we show you what we are doing in our little worlds.  Julia Dunnit is the hostess of this group and this is her idea. It  has grown and grown over the past few years and now I find I can  hardly allow a Wednesday to come and go without being a part of this group!

My workspace on my desk this morning is a bit cluttered for my taste but I've been working on flowers, thus all the inks and sprays and embossing powders still out, as well as the red shaping mat I use for my flowers.  I'm also working on birthday cards this week, hoping to get a few ahead and ready to be mailed.  I'm afraid it's a lost cause with me since I just can't seem to stay on course!  A spellbinders die, some score tape and there is my Stamp-ma-jig in all it's glory! There is also a bottle of shimmer spray... I make most of my sprays myself using Pearl Ex, Gum Arabic and warm water. If I want a different color you can always use re-inkers or acrylic paints.  There are lots of videos on You-Tube about this and it is a huge money saver!

I just noticed the white thingy on strings at the top of my photo.  It almost looks like ear plugs of some sort but it's only the string from my blinds.  Sorry about that.

OK, I've shown you my mess, now show me yours!

What a beautiful die you have there! That card is going to be gorgeous!
A stampa-ma-jig! I had to look that one up, I'd never heard of it. Come to think of it I have an acrylic corner block which is exactly 90 degrees that I bought many years ago from Anne Griffin. It does the same thing.
Have a good week, hope the weather isn't too bad,

Love that die it has been on my wish list along with everything else! Thought the shimmer spray was a baby's bottle lol. Think I will have to check out You Tube for the sprays, thanks for the tip. Hugs Lottie #78

Your desk is sooo much better than mine as you've seen mine is quite busy at the moment. I too thought the spray bottle was a baby's milk bottle hahaha ( I bet we could find a use for one)..Thank you for your visit earlier today Anita 49

I like it when someone makes a really low cost version of a product...that's like sticking it to the Man!! Childish of me, but it's satisfying :-). Those dies are really lovely, they'll make a beautiful card!!
Thanks for dropping by earlier,
Hugs, LLJ 26 xx

Oh boy ... I like the color you're working with ... can't wait to see the finished product! LOL funny about the 'thingie on strings' ... I just figured you were JAMMIN OUT to music with your ear buds hooked into your IPhone. Have a crafty day my friend!!

Your desk looks as if the cameraman came and interrupted you at a busy moment... But perhaps you went to have a cup of coffee in stead. I've been thinking about those sprays too, but so far have bought one here and another one there... Many of the ready made ones seam to clog easily, which feels a waste, so making a smaller one yourself really would be smart.
Thanks for your visit earlier, happy WOYWW!

Glenda" Your desk looks better than mine. I saw you make you own sprays with Arabic Gum. Kindly post the formula, for I would like to try it.
Thank You
